What’s It About?
KID FRIENDLY JOKE OF THE DAY is a podcast that delivers exactly what the title says: kid-friendly jokes. The host introduces the theme of each episode (like "Ninjas" or "Cats") and then tells a few age-appropriate jokes that relate to the subject, complete with drum rolls before each joke. The jokes are mainly plays on words or puns. Kids and and their trusted adults are encouraged to send in their own jokes.
Is It Any Good?
Kids who enjoy straightforward jokes (similar to what they may find in a children's joke book) will like this podcast. The jokes told in Kid Friendly Joke of the Day are broad in appeal, although there's the occasional oddly specific episode, like one about La Croix soda. One downside of the podcast is its length. Each episode clocks in at about one minute, and that includes the intro and outro. You're left with very little actual time for jokes, so unless you listen to several episodes in a row, it will feel like it's over way too soon. On the other hand, the short length can be good as a before bed listening treat or to use for timing how long kids brush their teeth, wash their hands or clean up their toys.
