Waring to parents - abuse not handled well by moderators
Parents be warned - the moderation on this site is less than fair. My son reported an abuse and he was reprimanded as if he were at fault. Then I complained to the only email address I could find for contacting them (I happened to see the abuse) and my kid's account was then banned for 3 days for violating the TOS (although when you read the TOS it does not state this as an offence). So he is victimized both ways, thank you. Great lesson for kids by the people at Roblox. The language used by the gamers is less than desirable and poorly moderated, the focus of the games are generally violent which is inappropriate for the younger crowd. Roblox loads software to your computer which I have found to be invasive and interferes with my loaded programs. Uninstalling is not a clean process either. All in all, try a free account and then spend your money on at home video games for family and friends.

User created content = lots of pitfalls
User-created content on the web can be wonderful or a vivid window into the worst of our online behavior. Roblox has both. There are many users who have made some interesting - if frequently violent - worlds and games. And there are many other users who work tirelessly to circumvent the content guidelines and present inappropriate materials. The online dating aspect, in particular, raises a huge red flag for me. Just read the kids reviews here on this site and you'll have some insight into how worrisome this site can be for parents of younger children. (Scary locations/events, violence, bad language, inappropriate messaging)

Great Game for all Ages
I would recomend to kid odler then 8 but my 5 year old stepsister plays it with no consern. Roblox gives a chance for kid to grow and devolpe in a creative envierment; it is a great game for kids to play, explore, learn, and advance in this way I would highly recomend Roblox to anyone.

Users playing this game cause trouble
Users inside the game bring in profanity and plenty of rude behavior. Best to have safe chat. Services are iffy, and moderation many times fails.

Roblox cons(remake)
I have a 8 year old child, He plays Roblox. Before he started playing he showed me how cool the site was. he told me if he can make an account for himself. before i would say yes i would have details on the whole game site. it said it was a kiddly friendly place for all ages.i was satisfied. So he was exited to play the game. i was happy to that it will teach your child building skill and engineering.i let him play for an hour and thirty minutes every day.but as months passed roblox got more updates that got cooler.so in roblox's education, solo mode. and engineering skills i was happy. as time still passes on he is starting to like it too far.but suddenly he got addicted to roblox with that happens to 85 percent of the kids on roblox. He was refusing to play outside or help me with the groceries or chores.i know how roblox is from it satisfation and all that stuff. But the community...the community is a different story i find it non-educational almost all the games other users made.and i found out the community is really a immature behaviour.. such as,cursing, roleplay drink and drugs and worse yet..it pornograpic roleplay i found it very extremely offensive for children till the age of 18 i was shocked how roblox community was like..i know my child will never do that..hes a good boy..but sadly..his brain is stuck with all of that cursing and porno and drugs roleplay.the most they do and dont forget to mention...its called"online dating". cursing and online dating is the most they do in roblox community.. such immature children will only do that..a year passed by and my son has of of that in his mind im very very very sad and disappointed at him.i thought roblox was a nice kiddly friendly place....but i know my wife said its a game for immature kids and bad stuff stuck in thier minds. combine porno drugs alcohol online dating bullying that equals 98 percent of those immature kids do that.the 2 percent just build and learn from the education part of the game.my son says bad words only in the house i would yell at him, i have to do that and my wife would do that to for my son not to CURSE at home... but..i say..its not his fault...its ROBLOX'S AND ITS COMMUNITY'S FAULT FOR BRAIN DAMAGEING MY SON. roblox is only good for it engineering skills and scripting and etc but the community is full of such no good behaving children.and the reason why the kids parents said on the news of roblox rally said its only good of its educationing skills and of course without that there would possibly parent complaining in te news about roblox.....that would teach you 0 skills without the building educational features...there is hardly i mean almost hardly any users talking nice and being nice to new people.. i dont know about the guests that 99 percent of users disrespect......i say roblox need to improve x100 than its now ,by NOW......i say parents who have kids and like legos..dont show them the game its pornograpic roleplay, drug and alcohol roleplay, online dating , possibly blood and gore and remaking games like call of duty but in lego form parents dont let your child play roblox games... its best for them to play roblox solo or just build to know how to engineer and thats it but be careful your child could easily get addicted like my son im warning as an advice. roblox's community will damage your CHILD'S brain. and to parent who already have kids play and your child roleplays immaturely and you dont like it im sure you will do the same as me.also its a rip of i gotta "upgrade my child with builders club??? or turbo or outrageous whats the point????? theres no need for thay i blame the head quarters for that. thats a waste of money i say. dont buy its will waste your money savings that you really need and as a matter of fact i wish the builders club turbo builders club and outragous builders club that is a way higher price than than the playstation 3.My child was begging for like 6 months for outragous builders club and i had no choice. he would hate me for that and ignore me or not listen at me and he wanted life time oh my god it wastes a lot of my savings but in a month i will cancel the membership thats the only choice i have.

Horrible...
The game is horrible. Moderate cursing, poor moderation. Inappropriate language everywhere. There are even games where people are evil to you. People try to find out your personal information all the time. Scripting is a horrible way to learn, as lua always fails. (ie scripts break often) People on Roblox cannot differentiate between "newb" (short for "newbie", meaning "new to the game") and "noob" (offensive word meaning that you are mean, or try to ruin the gaming experience for other players) Also, the game itself has a paid version and a free version. The paid version comes in 3 flavors: Builder's Club, Turbo Builder's Club, and Outrageous Builder's Club. These cost from 4 to 20 dollars per month. This will lead to a huge loss of money. The lifetime cost can range from 200 dollars to 800 dollars. The free version costs nothing, but lacks severely in features. It is not worth it. On the other hand, Minecraft is a highly successful alternative.

Roboblox will poison your child's mind
My 10 year old brother has been playing Roboblox for a few months now and I have noticed his behaviour has become progressively worse. From what I have seen of it, all it consists of is the use of guns to violently murder other players. As a result of the violent nature of this game I have seen him mimic the use of guns and other weaponry to bully other children at his school. I have also noticed that in many cases logos of various companies have been used without permission therefore being a copyright infringement. I propose these violations be dealt with or the site closed down for participating in illegal activity. To any other parents who's children may begin to take part in this scandal, block it for the well being and social health of your child.

Parents should monitor their kids, but know that the staff works well to keep the game clean
ROBLOX is a very educational game and inspires kids to learn. Moderators do a good job of monitoring the site and generally keep it safe. Violence is frequently seen in games, considering that this is the type of audience that the game caters to. Privacy is only an issue if kids are not taught to be safe. In many instances, people have complained that their kids are not safe because users try to get personal information from people. Although this does not often happened, and is exaggerated by parents, the fact may be their fault because they are leaving their kids uneducated; this is probably the main reason that privacy is an issue. Another complaint that many parents had was the online dating factor. The site does NOT support online dating, and will take moderation actions on kids that pretend to have "girlfriends" or "boyfriends." Language is not an issue at all. In game chat filters, as well as over the website, there are filters that filter any language besides the minor "hell" that players might try to shout out. Disguising of language to try to bypass filters is looked for by moderators, and is most always found and punished. The final issue is consumerism. This is probably the most major issue on Roblox. There are MANY ads that link to different companies which are place in banners and rectangles all over the site. Parents should know that users can also create their own ads to solicit items that they have created which feature images and captions (which are both moderated). Also, ROBLOX has recently been showing video ads for different companies before users enter a place (these companies are generally ones such as insurance, phone carriers, car companies, and etc. that advertise). Although Roblox does have its flaws, it is mostly a friendly game that encourages children to build and program. Issues are only minor issues that can be found in a game as friendly as Disney's Club Penguin, but are over-exaggerated often. ROBLOX is probably best for kids in their early teens and up.

BEWARE!
My child played Roblox a couple of times after her friend set up an account. As we were checking it out, someone on there said something crude to her. Then we got a notice from our antivirus notifying us that we were in jeopardy of a trojan virus. Parents beware! I shut my child's account down and will not be allowing my child on there ever again!

Corrupt Moderation - Lots of Hating
Recently, my 9 year old son was on the internet (of course with me right behind him monitoring him) and he found this on google, while looking up a kids game website. I saw the website, and it looked legitimate and reasonable, so, I let him make a free account. Soon, he became responsible enough to be allowed to go on alone. Eventually, he started calling his friends at school mean names, which got me a call from the counselor. I decided to temporarily change his password to something only I can log into. I then created an account and started to play the game myself. I immediately noticed severe product advertising (Builder's Club) and the incredibly size of the website. I read in the TOS that all content is user created, and I immediately thought this could be abused, and I was right. I decided to go to a place on the front page of the games page, and the name itself was dissapointing. "Boys and Girls Hangout". I decided to view it some more, and in the description, I found that one of the user created rules was "No ODing". I asked my son what that meant, and he said Online Dating! There are kids online dating on a kids website. I found this completely unacceptable, and decided to enter the place myself. From the start, I was given rude and hurtful (To children) comments about what my Lego like character was wearing. Eventually, they left me alone and I started to view the comments made by other players like "say 123 for a hot bf". I reported them to the game moderator and left the game. The next day, I decided to investigate some more, and found out that my account was banned for reporting kids online dating. They said I was "Lying to Moderation, Online Dating (Which I was reporting them for), and Rude and Offensive Behavior). Frustrated, I read the community rules, and it said that you have to be 13 years or older to be a moderator. That means a teenager has access to something being paid for by a credit card! I put it on my son's computers blocked website list. The community is bad. Your best bet is to stay off it, period.

This site is horrible. People talk about sex and smoking doobies. People said I was a doo-doo head. That makes me sad. Someone used a rocket launcher to blow my arms off. Wah. Somebody help me. They said my mom is hot.
