Fine for kids 12-13 with parental guidance and fine to watch alone past that :)
I started watching 24 with my parents when I was 12. It was fine, there were some scary parts then which is why I was glad my parents were there. But when I turned 14 I started watching it alone and I wasn't scared at all. Some of the moments are suspenseful but not that scary. If your kids are sensitive I would advice not letting them watch it until they are about 14-15. Definitely whatever the child's age watch the first few episodes with them incase there are any problems.
The actual show is amazing. It is by far my favourite show on TV. It is insanely addictive, and no matter how hard you try you can't stop watching it. There are death and fighting scenes but you see surprising little blood and no gore. But all the time Jack is fighting for the country.
Jack's, and moreover the entire series', most common phrase is "d**n it!". I read the reviews and people say there isn't a lot of blood. There is. A woman got stabbed on a vein, tons of blood. On a scene where a gas was released, people vomit until they eventually die from suffocation. Jack rips off a man's ear in one of the season premiering episodes. Tons and tons of violence, too much for most tweens and younger teens.
By the way, it gets boring after five seasons. Too repetitive, same plots.
LOVE IT
this show is the best... it shows ppl wat is really going on around the world
there are soommmeeee iffy things but come on u see more in commercials then u do in this show
jack will kill u all for saying its terrible<3
Conveying the wrong messages to all Americans, not just kids
24 is very violent, and Jack tortures people, which I might remind you is a war crime, in order to save the country, and protect the very principles which he is defying through his torture. Is it not better to die standing up for one's principles than to survive by defying each and every one of them? The show also employs and exploits the viewers' us vs them mentality, portraying foreigners as the bad guys, never home-grown terror, and encouraging America's irrational fear of the Islamic faith. Also, as a side note, do these people never stop to pee?
WARNING! SOME IMAGES MAY BE FRIGHTENING, VIEWER DISCRETION IS SUGGESTED!
This show should be banned from kids not in double digits, and watched carefully by children under thirteen. The violence is extreme, sex is not that bad, neither is language. Drugs are clearly visible. So far I have never seen a very positive episode, though I am only on the 5th episode of the first season. Jack (his name is awesome) is a good person in the big scheme of things, but has made some poor choices. Though all of this may tell you this is an awful show, it is very good. Watch it with pre-teens, adults.
I've only seen season one, and it is perfectly fine for ages ten and up. Some episodes are even fine for 9+, just as long as they don't copy some of the stuff they do.
24 hours is a a very good Tv show that will keep you on the edge of your seat.Very addictive, well written and well acted, though there are some gruesome scenes, torturing, lots of blood, action and some sexual content...I think it is a great show for tween's and up though I advise parents to supervise their child while watching the show, some scene's are very disturbing...There is a lot of swearing throughout the show. NOT FOR KIDS UNDERAGED !!! The horrific scenes in the show can scare your kids and scar them for life with the images that they have seen!
I LOVE IT! quite a bit of violence but nothing over the top! no blood not gore are dead bodies with bullet holes and blood but lots of shooting. jack is trying to save his country
