You commonsense people see it wrong
Ichigo and his father love one another, his father starts fights with him to test Ichigo's strength. And it adds humor to their fights. So in fact it is not difficult at all to see these two fight. Its just a test of strength...nothing more.

A much less innpropriate show than naruto
So, I've seen every episode of Bleach and Naruto, in japanese and English, including Naruto Part 2, Bleach is actually much less violent than the original uncut naruto, which is in the uncut boxsets, so unless your kids are older, caution them when buying Naruto uncut box sets, but bleach is not a bad show, no where as violent or sexual as the majority of animes, and if you trust your kid with not using curse words, then they should be able to watch it, not a bad show, but later on gets really dull and boring, but starts out great, where as Naruto starts out boring ,but as the show progresses the plot becomes deeper and a much better show, watch Naruto instead, but only in Japanese

Bleach
Bleach is bloody and has violence and some cuss words.So what who cares.Parents need to loosen up a bit like me.I let my children watch anything but sex and porn.If your child is sensitive please do not let them watch this show.But it is a good show for kids like my twins they love it.They are both 12 years old.All their friend watch the show to and some of their friends are 8-10.

A show for Teens
I personally like the Anime, But for younger kids this is a no-go. It is violent and scary, and in a few episodes deals with rape. I reccomend this for people ages 13 + up.

Violence is rarely an issue for me..lol :) I started watching the series after several friends recamended it {to tell the truth i kept forgetting to check it out until a few weeks ago-lol} It's a pretty cool show - & about Ichigo [& his sisters sometimes] fighting with their father - well, its more like playful/character-building fights..lol All I have to say is really, viewer discretion advised...^_^

I love this show and im pretty suprized you did not say anything on the sexual part, like ko and orihimay (Witch is incredably funny!!!) or when there saving rukia and the cat girl whos name has just popped out of my head is completly naked, but it dous not show and she always has her legs open! Lol, but i love this show, im on episode 60 and is still lovin it!!! Not that gory, a great show for kids 10+ tbh

This is one of my favorite anime, but it seems to be getting pretty long, so I haven't been watching it much. It's pretty normal, nothing really over the top, but the violence,may be much for parents, theres quite a lot of blood in the series but, trust me there are shows that are worse,and the language may be a concern for some parents, but really it's mostly PG-13 language,such as what was listed above, but really I don't think its really that much of a concern. I would recomend it if you are an anime fan that dosen't mind watching something with 100+ episodes, otherwise you might get bored with it. Bleach is an anime with a great storyline, and amazing characters that have strong senses of pride and will fight to protect what is important to them, and the animation is pretty good too.

Great show in the japanese version. The english voice overs are terrible and it makes the show not worth watching. Find it with english subtitles or if u speak japanese, watch the unsubbed version. Some violence and language, but nothing really terrible.

Bleach is too awesome for words. It has quite a bit of violence in it and some mild sexual situations, but it has good morals underneath it. Keep in mind that the Japanese subtitles version has A LOT more language than the English dub, so I can't really rate it on language it all comes down to which version you watch.

Ermm, common sence media, you got it all wrong!
Well, lets start of, the achermist one, the ermm shaman king one and most otheres are what i would like to call "Followers" of the famouse anmies bleach and naruto, bleach, evan thogh it 'only' has 200 and somthing episodes that are made from a japinise geanious that has a mindof its own! great story line, but you guys, you have it all wrong, i love animie as much as the next kid BUT when you get into this stuff you cant get out! amazing but not for thoose people who get addicted and then, they get to 200 and sombthing and then they start a riot! So, dont try making this your life, watch two episodes and then read a book! so for me about 15 up cuz you can get addicted!

one of my favorite animes
bleach is a wonderfully developed anime with a highly developed plot (eccept for the bount arc. ugh. that wasn't even in the manga). ichigo's relations with his dad are more comical than violent, so i wouldn't take that as a turn-off. bleach may be violent at times, but underneath, it teaches valuable morals. i would also like to point out that in japan, this series is meant for childeren 8+. my mom also likes this series.

im 11 and i watch bleach and its ok my mom doesn't have any problem letting me and my friend sit in my room and watch it on tv or on the computer just so long as we don't watch the commercials on the channel i mean we also watch naruto and death note so i'd say that parents that are lax should have no problem with bleach just so long as their kid is 10 or older.

My Parents May Not Like It, But I Watch It Anyway!
I adore Bleach, and have watched it from age ten, along with a medley of other anime titles, such as Naruto,Fullmetal Alchemist, and InuYasha. More lax parents should consider this series ok, though conservative parents, be warned. There is mild swearing, which teens lke me find fascinating. lol. As for violence, it is somewhere around medium- high on the scales, but does that really matter in today's society?? As for sexual innuendo, this series is somwhere around medium level. No actual sex takes place (well, not yet at least), but there is definitely some romance and sexual tension between the protagonists, Ichigo and Rukia. Also, the perverted antics of Kon, the mod- soul taking the form of a stuffed animal, are sure to make conservative parents wary.Overall, this is still a fantastic series!

ive finally seen this and ...
I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!! ITS ONE OF THE BEST ANIMES EVER!!! im only on episod 23 and so far its AWESOME. it does have lots of violence and blood but thats part of what makes the fighting parts of the show so cool! you have to watch this if your an anime fan! kon rocks!

pretty good popular show in the otaku world
i havnt seen much of it but from other web sites and browsing in dvd and book (bleach is also a manga). it looks cool. but i have a feeling that most common sense workers dont like anime that much. with anime you either love it or you don't. i wish they had a anime common sense site for all anime that would be cool.... o ya one last thing ... ya the bleach guy... well...HE HAS ORANG HAIR LIKE KYOOOOOOO-KUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!

Ok...
i was nice on giving it 4 stars i mean its a good show but it can put me to sleep sometimes. orhime is a bad example for girls though i mean shes really stupid. there is also some cursing and sexual stuff and samurai fighting but its not so bad aside from the fact that charaacters are really aggresive sometimes. but the show is too much of a wannabe naruto and YES it came AFTER naruto.

I always watch this with my BFF!
My friend and I stay up all night watching Naruto, InuYasha, Bleach, Death Note, and Code Geass. I don't see much wrong with it except violence, but what do you expect? I love this show and would recommend it to anyone 9+!

Cool...
More mature than some Anime but Ichigo is a great hero and all the magic and stuff is awesome. Heroes seem somewhat more interesting than villains, but that's like Anime canon.
