I can not belive that common sense gave false imformation this show does not have teeth being knock out or blood. Common sense said it did. This show does not have touture or anything like that. It is violent but not not graphic. Kids get hurt and are involved battle but none killed. They gave dragon ball z a lower rating when that show has blood and is more violent than this. The batman movie is more violent than this and people died in that. Common sense gave princess mononoke a 9 with a pause when that had alot of blood and some beheadings. Common sense is a liar dont trust them!

Sneaky title for bad social modeling
The real raunchiness of this cartoon is the clean package. The name sounds harmless enough, but it mostly contains dialog that would send an average child to bed without supper. 'Shut-up' is the normal retort, and sassy insolent jabs are common. Worse, there are some questionable topics hidden inside the plots. One episode (which was our last) had a male character making fun of a young girl's training bra. WHAT?!? In a cartoon? The male character then proceeded to try it on. I'm not kidding.

This program shows a total disgard for decency. I am horrified to read how many people this type of programming is ok for young children! I don't think it's appropriate for any age.

Fight for the Right to Childhood
It's a sad truth that adults do not always have childrens' best interests at heart. It's also sad that children rarly have any way to protect themselves. Codename: Kids Next Door is a show about a group of kids in a world where the cruelty of some adults is just more obvious, and where they have a way to prevent the abuse. Not all adults are evil. The kids are respectful of their parents (if a little irritated and embarassed by them, as all kids are). Though they aren't fighting for, say, world peace, an end to hunger, or the safety of the environment, what the KND battle for is just as important. They fight for the ability to be a kid while they can. Children shouldn't lose their recess to do more schoolwork or to mine for salad oil. They shouldn't be forced to wear clothes their parents think are "cute", as if the child has no opinion. True, there is violence, even a main character that's a bully, but the diveristy is what makes the show entertaining. Each character is unique and interesting. If anything makes me wonder about the rating, it's the occational sexual innuendo. And I only wonder about that because censors are so uptight, it amazes me that some of the episodes made it to TV. Speaking as someone who grew up on Tex Avery, anything negative about this show is so mild in comparison to the Golden Age of cartoons that they aren't even worth arguing about. This cartoon is about children who are confident enough to stand up for their rights, because children do have rights, and sometimes adults do violate them.

brainless
I have always hated this show. It is horribly violent and the characters are mean to each other. The plot never even makes any sense. I don't let my kids watch it, there are so many better shows to watch. A complete waste of time.

I rate this title on for age 11 and give itA great cartoon: Covert action for kids
A cartoon created by Mr. Wabuton, Codename KND: Kids Next Door is a show about the adventures of an international children protection force called KND (Kids Next Door). Commanded from Moonbase, Agents or Numbuh's are tasked with the mission of protecting children from Teenagers, Adults and various other threats. The show focuses on the adventures of Sector V's agents, Numbuh's 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Dispite a review on this site advising parents not to let their children view this show, claiming that it's extremly violent, i personally advise you not to listen. This person is obviously easily offended and has nothing better to do then find faults with a harmless cartoon. All the violence used is comical, and their is no gore whatsoever.

I rate this title on for age 5 and give itA perfectly fine show for kids of all ages
Alright. Personally, I think the review for this show is totally inaccurate. In other words, a bunch of crap. This is no 'R rated show'. R rated is sexual content, language, and violence. Codename: Kids Next Door contains none of these. Not one speck of blood has appeared on the show. Most all cartoons have a bit of playful violence; that doesn't mean you shouldn't let your kid watch it. Your child should know better anyway not to copy what they see on tv. It's an animated program- sure people get their teeth knocked out. Wild E. Coyote fell off cliffs. Does that make that harmless show violent? No, it does not. Live a little. As for language, everyone says 'shut up' in the world today. It's unavoidable, and if your child says it to you, then tell them not to. It's that simple. And as for the african-american saying ain't comment- that girl happens to be the smartest girl on the program. If your saying the show contains a bit of racism, I'm going to have to laugh at that. If anything, Codename: Kids Next Door is the opposite, with all the many different races coming together in one organazation for kids. Again, the above review is just overprotectiveness gone overboard. Parents can't totally shelter their kids from the world, and Codename: Kids Next Door is a perfectly original show that kids can relate to. You know, kid topics. It happens to have very loveable characters too. If you shelter your child from all movies and programs like this one, they'll be watching Sesame Street when they're 40. Sheesh. Talk about overreacting to a harmless show.

This show is Very Disturbing
I can't believe the Cartoon Network programs this show so often throughout the day. It is even on at 7:30am! I turn it off every time it comes on. I absolutely detest thos cartoon and will NOT allow my 6 and 3 year old boys to watch this dreck. And I consider myself a pretty lenient mom. Not with this show. It has alot of disturbing images.

why does common sense over think EVERYTHING!!!!!
i totally agree with book reader whoever she/he is. Also what went into this reviewers head the person who watched this did a bad job i haven't seen any violence except slapstick also torture...... its just forcing the kids to like eat vegetables (just as Book reader said) also i say ain't all the time + the only reason 3# speaks weirdly is because she's meant to be pretty thick (as in stupid) also if you don't let your kids here the words shut up or stupid or anything like that you mite as well not let them go outside therefore i rest my case ( i don't have any concerns really)
- I rate this title on for age 2 and give it
okay well common sense messed up bad on this one.
I want to know who rated this from common sense cause they should be fired. the violence in this show is not at all the way described. if there is torture it's making kids eat vegetables. or doing something else they hate. I don't think i've ever seen an episode where the kids tortured one of their enemies. also there is no blood as far as I have seen and there is no tooth spitting. however I have to agree with he none too clever plots. the plots are always ridiculous. I think this show is funny not violent and I've seen violent. the kids say "shut up?" that's supposed to be bad? I mean if i`t was on one of those nick junior cartoons or something but honestly pretty much any show on cartoon network it's not a bad word. "girls have little girl voices" okay well usually in episodes it's only the five main agents anyways and the only one among them with a little girl voice is #3. However the voice suits her. also #5 is a girl and she doesn't have a little girl voice. "#5 only one to use the word ain't?" what is this world coming to! there are a thousand better things in a thousand other things to complain about and you complain about just one character saying "ain't" get your priorities straight. if you;re going to complain about something complain about the pie shooters and condiment squirt gun weapons. oh and the only weapon the knd have that could do any real damage is a bubble gum shooter

this show is stupid and not funny and inapropreait!
- I rate this title on for age 2 and give it
violent and silly
This tv show is quite graphic but is also funny and has a bad message. Although many kids like this show, my brother thinks it is quite inappropriate. It has no potty humor but has graphic humor not suitable for kids under five.

I find this show very annoying
I wish it would have less violence in it. I'm a kid and my brother loves this show but I disagree with him. I don't think it should be put on Cartoon Network.

"What good is this?"
OMG! Whats with this show? Kids Next Door doesn't teach kids anything good. Instead they teach them to fight with thier brothers and sisters, and hate them. Or not listening to thier parents and eating just junk food. They put in bad words (such as "shut up." and everyone is so mean to eachother. I don't garentee this for kids. It just teach little kids to do bad stuff! Just rubbish! What good is living when you don't do anything thankful or good to someone. Just iffy iffy iffy!

do not listen to common sense. on this review they don't have common sense
first off the adults these kids are fighting are evil and are taking away the kids rights. now tell me what would you do in a situation like that? you would fight for your rights wouldn't you? next the girls never have baby voices. numbuh three can sound threatening when she wants. You can't do thaat with a baby voice. none of the girls except one who looks about four has a little girl voice and she should she IS a little girl. tell me what is wrong with mustard squirtguns. also to the mom who won't let her 6 and three year old kid watch that is a really bad idea. if they start to get bad ideas tell them what it is really about. this show has a really good message compared to some other shows. the message of this is fight for you rights and be a kid while you can. to the person who said that you wish there was more stuff about everyday life like ed edd and eddy first off there is nothing about everyday lie in ed edd and eddy secondly think about what some kids are doing today and tell me if you really want them to put in stuff about everyday life. think about wwhat they tell about on the news. stuff about everyday life would make the content on this nothing less than x rated. anyone who is reading this common sense was trying to find faults with this show everything has a fault to it. they never focused on anything good. also honjestly i think they only saw one or part of one episode and assumed the worst of the rest. please do not listen to common sense all of the time. they can exaggerate.please look at at least en episodes before passing judgement of any sort. you might find that you were exactly like this when you were a kid.you probably didn't like any of the stuff they have to do either. like eating veggies? one word blech! chores? (yawn) oh sorry I fell asleep just thinking about it. and going to school and doing homework when I get home? I only have one thing to say to that and you probably did too it was either "help me" or "somebody shoot me please".
- I rate this title on for age 2 and give it
common sense media is wrong on this one
Did you ever like going to school as a kid? did you ever like bieng stuck in a classroom for 7 hours a day? I don't think so. as a kid you probably always wanted to be playing video games playing outside or playing with your friends. these kids are fighting for that. Could you please tell me where you saw blood or teeth getting knocked out? also they don't use weapons. could you please tell me what is violent about ketchup sqiurtguns and gumball guns? the adults these kids are fighting are evil! if somebody was trying to take away your rights? would you just let them? no you would rebel. and that is what these kids are doing. the threats are more like weggies not anything that could actually be considered extremely violent. the kids are fighting for the right to be a kid while they can not just randomly underming authority. also these kids are doing stuff most kids do today. they build treehouses they fight with each other and they play games with each other like airsoft and paintball which is much worse than anything these kids are doing.kids are doing worse things than anything this show depicts today. some are complete bullies that weggie kids for money or just for the fun of it. would you rather see this in a cartoon or the things that are actually happening today. here are some of the things that are happening today murder, suicide, rape, drugs, underage drinking. compared to just about anything on tv this show is for little kids. If you want cleaner television than this which is for like any kid in kindergarten then ditch cable and only watch pbs kids . or things like qubo and nick junior on saturdays.

Yeah Right!
Commonsense really lost the ball on this one. It isn't that bad. Violence:pause. While there is plenty of cartoon violence some a little gross, there is no blood or gore at all and the so called "torture" is too silly and unrealistic to be considered graphic. SEX:pause. there is some innuendo here but it it's just some stuff about "were babies come from. profanity:none. no real swearing. message:kids can be mean but nothing too bad. Some mild racial stereotyping. Overall:fun cartoon for 8 and up. Don't listen to commonsense on this one.

Please get someone ELSE at Commen Sense to review this...
I roll my eyes at your review of the enjoyable cartoon that is "Codename: Kids Next Door". I never once saw blood and gore in this show. For crying out loud, cartoons from the 40s and 50s are more violent than this! It's just kiddie violence, no biggie. And the message? As a character stated in one episode, the adults the Kids Next Door fight are EVIL. To tell you the truth, the most violent people in the show are the villains themselves. Take a look at what they're REALLY doing to the kids. These evil people (who just so HAPPEN to be over 13) attempt such dastardly deeds as torture, kidnapping, blackmail, and some of these villains have even attempted MASS MURDER. These kids aren't fighting against your run-of-the-mill strict parent - they're fighting against actual criminals! The message isn't "disrespect authority"...it's "fight against those who can and will do serious harm to you". Furthermore, these kids don't really disrespect other adults - they wouldn't attack, say, a teacher who merely gave them an F, and especially NOT their own parents. I really don't see this reviewer's point of view.
- I rate this title off for age 2 and give it
Terrible.
Besides this show having a poor plot, bad dialogue, bad animation, and no morals, I personally think the worst part is that this show breeds resistance to authority in children. With the amount of trouble that goes on these days with children, do you really want them to watch this show and get such destructive and lame ideas? I don't think so. Just avoid this show. No good can come of it.

One of the best cartoons ever.
I've been watching Codename: Kids Next Door for the past three years and I don't agree with the "review" given. There is violence--but it's not VIOLENCE violence. It's children violene. "WAHHH! I WILL SHOOT YOU WITH GUM BALLS OR TEDDY BEARS!" Yeah. That poses a problem all right. [/sarcasm] Disguise adult level violence? Children don't like broccoli and always get grounded for not eating it--the “Broccoli Mines" is a way to get parents back for forcing kids to eat that food! BLECH! The show takes common tension's between kids and adults--and makes it fun to watch! It makes you think "I remember I thought that same exact thing when I was a kid!" R-rated violence?! *Laughs* I suppose everything is too violent these days, right? [/even more sarcasm]
