What’s the Story?

THE CRAMP TWINS is the story of Lucien and Wayne Cramp (voiced by Kath Soucie and Tom Kenny). Lucien is the kind, smart twin, and Wayne is his dumber, meaner (and also purple) brother. Their parents are generally ineffectual, although if the boys' battles invade Mom and Dad's consciousness or their turf, they're likely to take revenge.

This is sibling rivalry at its most extreme. There are no special or loving moments to "spoil" what some kids may see as the fun of the ongoing battle between the brothers. Other viewers will long for a respite from the show's predictable set-ups and inevitable fights -- particularly the cruelty of Wayne, who stalks and torments Lucien in every episode. As if the sibling hatred message weren't enough, Lucien's best friend is the son of a family of swamp dwellers, who are referred to as swamp folk and scorned by the rest of the town.
