Parents need to know
Families can talk about what it's like to work hard at a job or on an activity they enjoy doing. What challenges or fears do people have to confront to be successful? Families can also talk about how playing a joke on somebody can go too far. What are the boundaries when playing pranks? What's the difference between being funny and being hurtful or insulting?
Message
Social Behavior:
Lots of behavior and gags that often go too far, as well as jokes based on racism, sexism, etc. But the show also focuses on how important it is to continue to work hard and take risks to be successful.
Consumerism:
Product labels on junk food -- such as potato chips -- are purposely blurred, although the packaging is sometimes recognizable.
Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco:
Some cast members are seen smoking and/or drinking. Sick cast members are given prescription medications or shots, but the actual consumption of these medications isn't visible.
Violence
Occasional scenes of cast members arguing and pushing each other, but their actions aren't physically harmful. Some references to violence.
Sex
Some references to sexual activity, but they're not extremely graphic. Some brief partial nudity. The show's title is an innuendo in and of itself.
Language
Strong language, including a wide range of explicit, unbleeped swear words. Usage is primarily gratuitous.

Is it any good?
In between pranks that include going to the bathroom in a wastebasket, throwing each other's property over Niagara Falls, and squabbling over who's nicer to each other, viewers see how stand-up comics have to take chances to perfect their craft. Their willingness to go out on stage and risk not being laughed at shows that we sometimes need to learn how to fail in order to succeed at what we love to do the most. Whether or not you find the show amusing, Dane Cook's Tourgasm shows viewers that it takes hard work and hard play to be funny.
