    BAD BAD BAD

This show is completely HORRIBLE!! I don't let my 17 year old watch this ONLY True Jackson VP and iCarly. Drake does too much messing with the girls in this show and it's REALLY NOT FUNNY AT ALL!! Too much flirtin and kissin-- it's DISGUSTING!!! Don't let your kids watch this unless they are like 20!

Older kids maybe... but NOT for my girls!

Not all episodes are as bad as others. After seeing a few of the questionable episodes, I am no longer allowing my 7 year old daughter to watch this show. She now sticks to iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Zack and Cody. Drake and Josh is off limits - and she understands why. Drake is a teenage ladies man who jumps from one girl to the next - lots of kissing, flirting, and girls falling all over him. That's not what I want my daughter to learn about relationships. I don't see any respect given to these girls by Drake and none is demanded by the girls. Josh is just extremely annoying and the script is horrible and they are simply not as funny as they are trying to be.

Good for kids 10 and up!!

This show is very entertaining and very funny. it has nothing that 10 year olds would not understand. Don't listen to idiots that rated this 17+. I mean WTF!?! ITS RATED TV Y7(Ages 7 and up).

    It is appropiate

Drake and Josh is a good show. There is slighty inappropite content, like when Drake had to stick his hands and feet in lizard pee. That was most offensive and it's not even at all. If you will not let your child watch this, you're over protective. You might not let your child watch Sonny with a chance(that's the cleanest sitcom I know).

    a teen show

This is more for a teenager or kids that are more open-minded,as in they understand life. This show is good, and shouldn't be taken seriously. The show is only meant for entertainment..Parents should know how to tell their child that not everything on TV is real..and should teach their kids to differentiate real and fiction

I hate it, but it's not inappropriate

This show is terrible. Don't listen to the other reviews about it being inappropriate, because it's not. It just has stupid comedy and immature things. It has a terrible storyline, and I'm so happy it's off the air.

I won't let my 11 year old watch this HORRIBLE show!

This show is terrible! My 11 year old watches it from time to time, & I did think it was a little promiscuous for the tween group, but wasn't overly concerned about it. Earlier this week I had the misfortune to catch a full episode. Drake's gym teacher came by the house to tell him he was failing gym. He hadn't been to class EVER (several months). He also had told the teacher that his mom was dead. Mom finds all this out - no punishment, no real reaction at all. Then he finds out he can pass gym by winning a dance contest. He steals his brother Josh's dance partner (who is a blustering idiot) and in the end he gets the credit he needs to pass gym. The Drake character also goes from girl to girl, treating them like sexual objects. No wonder so many girls today don't respect themselves or demand respect from their romantic partners if this is the kind of stuff their exposed to everyday! This show teaches kids that you can disobey the rules, run over other people, do whatever you want and still get away with anything - no consequences. This is not funny. This is offensive. I'd rather my kids hear any amount of cussing, see any amount of nudity then watch this show.

Rated Y7, but isn't appropriate for this age.

I found my son was watching this show at a relative's house, so I thought I'd check it out. I'm by no means a prude, I thought at first I might have been overreacting, but other reviews on this site say the same: THIS SHOW IS TERRIBLE. I don't care how old your kids are. Drake is what kids would call a "playa" and Josh is what I would call "an idiot". Drake is pretty much driven through his existence by his pants. Josh is just a young version of Kramer from Seinfeld. He's like one of the stooges. They are both constantly visited by the police but magically get out of jail and trouble by the end of the show. It's hard to explain to kids that the police actually do have a positive role in society when you have these kids making a mockery of them. I could go on, but just block this show if you can.

    Best of the "tween" sitcoms

While trying to figure out what shows would be ok for our 2+ year old, I stumbled on Drake & Josh. Now, most of the Disney and Nick comedies are just as bad, if not worse, as the stuff the major networks try to force on the public. But this one actually works! It's not for a 2 year old - more like a 12-15 year old. As for the reviews here claiming that there's "tongue kissing" going on - not sure what you're watching! I guess people see what they want to see. It's a slapstick comedy that involved a lot of pratfalls and insane situations that wouldn't have been out of place on I Love Lucy. It's better than Hannah Montana - that's for sure!!!

Too many 7 yr olds watching this show

I have seen my daughter watching this show regularly and never looked into it - until yesterday by chance. In the opening, a supposed super model (must be woman in 20s) in a black slinky dress walks into their house accidentally. Both boys drool openly and after the camera pans her bra and chest for 5 mins, they take pictures with her. So far bad but ok. Then one of the boys (Drake I think) asks her if she could give her a kiss as if that is a souvenir. The woman wraps her arms around him and gives him a full tongue kiss for a few seconds. Then asks him how it was. The rest of the show was sort of normal so maybe they just have to have a formulaic hook for the male audience - but I cannot see how such a scene could have been allowed between an adult man and a girl....

Made my kids ages 9,10, 11 change the channel

The episode we were watching had them both on a plane, as usual jake had his tongue down a girls throat, then turn his head and starts playing tonsil hockey with another girl. That is very degrading to women and should not be passed off as know big deal. Which they were , like this happens everyday no big deal. They are teaching multiple partners are ok. This is the second time i found this show to be inappropriate and i can guarantee the last. The last episode i watched a female penpal came to stay with them (get real a girl staying with boys? and this is ok?) they ended as usual making out.........

    Enjoyable show

I grew up in the 'Happy Days'and 'Mash' generation and can say its more clean and directed for tweens/teens than those were. I appreciate how it deals with current social relationships. My girls are 5 and 8 and I enjoy watching it with them. Lets not forget the value of having a sense of humor about life while we are teaching morals. While I may disagree as a parent to some of the plots, I'm also aware that things like this have and do still occur without drugs and sex being apart of the equasion. I also disagree with peopel who say sex and relationships are horrible. What children need to know it there is a time and place for appropriate behavior and tweens and early teens is the time to learn, not to be an adult.

Good, but seriously pushes TV-Y7 rating

When parents see a rating with TV-Y7, they automatically assume a show's OK for kids 7 and up. This is NOT the case for this show. This show has A LOT of making out--one scene could be considered sexually suggestive--and innuendoes are sometimes present. This is a good show, but I recommend it for kids ages 11+ due to sexual content.

It's just not that good for kids

This show is about as annoying as they come for "tween" shows. This show really isn't for tweens anyway. One specific episode the boys are given $1200 from their dad, to match their own $1200. Good example of savings, yes, but when the parents are nowhere to be found when the boys purchase a car (which is illegal in some states for minors to buy vehicles from dealers). They wind up buying an orangatang, sell it to a guy who supposedly eats primates (very questionable), and still there are no parents to be found. Their little sister winds up manipulating them to purchase a car she wants. Bottom line, these two boys are running around with no parental supervision or guidance. One other note, the over acting and cartoon-esque screen play seems to be rubbing off on my 8 year old daughter. I question all these tween shows because of their acting and examples of no parental support and unbelieveable rudeness towards each other and adults.

    disturbing

I'm 21 yrs old and I have to say, I'm really disturbed by this show. I grew up watching old school nick, and it was actually very nice quality entertainment, every show had a message, and the evil people were understood at the end. It actually taught me valuable lessons! Imagine that! However, the amount of hitting, screaming, and kissing...is disgusting. I'm surprised no one said anything about the hitting. Since when is that acceptable? The sister is awful too, and every kid I babysit for watches this show and loves her...they say they want to be her. I'm glad this show has finished.

    Drake and Josh

Sexual Content (Pause): Drake is constantly seen flirting with and kissing girls. Violence (Not an Issue): Some comic pratfalls. Language (Not an Issue): Occasional usage of "Oh my God" and "sucks". Social Behavior (Pause): "Nobody's perfect" is the show's overall message. Drake and Josh's little sister Meagan is a bratty, mean little girl with no respect towards authority, and she is never punished for her behavior. All characters are white. Commercialism (Not an Issue): Some parodies on real-life items ("Moca Cola", "GameBall", etc.) Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco (Not an Issue): None.

Not appropriate for young kids, and smart teens won't find it funny.

Nickelodeon, please ... My kids know that the second this show comes on they had BETTER change the channel, or (god forbid) go play outside. I don't need my daughter thinking that making out with creeps like Drake Bell is the FUN part of being a teenage girl. And commonsense actually says girls are "treated with respect"? The little sister, who now has her own equally unwatchable show, is obnoxious. Don't need any of my kids taking cues from her, thanks. And I don't appreciate the message that fat kids like Josh should be ridiculed, particularly when Nick takes in millions of dollars in ad revenues from junk-food and video game producers. There was a time when Nick actually had some good programming for young kids. Did a plane full of Nick program execs crash into a mountain somewhere?

Not behaviors I want my kids to model...

Ok...i read the other reviews and while there are certainly shows that are much worse, I don't allow my kids to watch this. The boys are 16 and Drake has kissed more girls at his age than most adult men! the final straw for me a scene in thier "movie"....it was on the plane and Josh got stuff between the overweight couple with skin lesions, while Drave was between 2 very pretty girls - and within a few minutes, was making out with both of them! My boys are 9 and 11 and while I'm no prude, we are raising them to be much more respectful and careful when they are ready to date and get physical with a girl.... I could go on and on, but the main point is that the bar is getting lower and lower and if we let our kids watch this stuff, they think it's acceptable behavior...it's not. We have one chance to teach our kids before they are out on their own making decisions, so I'm very watchful of what TV shows my kids are allowed to view...

    I love this show!!!

Let me start out by saying that as an adult, I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I sit and watch it when I'm home by myself. Even my husband likes it. The situations are funny, the guys are funny--the only thing I don't like is the younger sister. I know that she's supposed to be funny, but I do get tired of kids playing the "brat" and getting away with everything. I also take issue with a previous reviewer implying that those of us who let our kids watch have no morals. I have no problem with my son seeing people kissing--like someone else said, this is a bit like Happy Days, and Fonzie and Richie always seemed to have a new girl on their arm. I wouldn't WANT my son to wait until he got married to kiss someone! It's a silly show that's meant to make us laugh and relax for 30 minutes--let's not make it out to be any more than that!

The show is a comedy stitciom about 2 different step brothers around age 16 who go to the troubles of everyday life. Drake Parker's mother, Audery Parker-Nichols gets married to Josh Peck's (a boy who is very different from him) dad, Walter Nichols. Drake also has a 9-11 year old sister named Megan Parker. Drake has a "D" (50-59%) average in school. He likes to play the guitar and is very good at it. He's stupid and lazy. He dates a lot of Girls and had at least 72 Girlfriends. He is selfish and mean. He also eats too much junk food. Josh on the other hand has an "A" (80-100%) average. He is smart, hardworking, and nice but a little bit wierd. Later in the series, he gets one girlfriend. The only bad point about him is that he plays too much videogames. Megan is a mean sister who keeps on making booby traps for and pranks for her two older brothers. The parents are nice, although Josh's dad is not very smart. See part 2 for more.

A kids show, but a good one nonetheless~

I normally really don't like shows on Nickelodeon or Disney because many of them tend to be silly for a teenager. Drake and Josh was an exception to this. It was funny without using language, violence, or sex, and it was entertaining in other ways too. A good show for both older children, tweens, teens, and parents. (both my parents liked it) ^_^

I LIKE THIS SHOW IT IS FUNNY. I DON'T SEE WHY DRAKE GETS A LOT OF GIRLS. HE LIKES TO KISS A LOT OF GIRLS. THAT'S LIKE THE ONLY THING DRAKE DOES OR HE PRACTICE'S WITH HIS BAND AND THAT'S ALL. JOSH IS FUNNY. ONE DAY WHEN I WAS WATCHING THIS SHOW I WAS LIKE HOW DID JOSH GET SKINNY SO QUICK. I WAS SUPRISED WHEN I SHAW THE SHOW WHEN JOSH WAS SKINNY. BUT I DON'T SEE WHY THE GIRLS LOVE DRAKE HE IS NOT THAT CUTE TO ME. BUT YEAH THIS IS A GOOD SHOW.

    Weird, different and funny

I really like this show. Sinse i am only 10, i guess that a lot of things seem funny to me but i really laugh alot when i watch this show. The way that they act is so weird, but it is also really funny to see them stubling and fooling around. The most vilent it gets is when they get mad and pile up on each other or they smack eachother. Also the pranks that Megan pulls on them can sometimes be a little bit hamful but it is not vivid. The language is also very mild. megan calls her brothers "boobs" and there are some "oh my gods" and "stupids" but that is all. drake often kisses every pretty girl that he sees, but it will slip past younger kids just as long as they know that is wrong. this is a very funny show, but not for younger kids that pick up messages from tv.

Good show, can be iffy at times though.

There is excessive usage of "Oh my God", which is the same in iCarly. Megan calls her brothers "boobs" which can also be a little iffy. There is some kissing/minor romance, but not actually sex. So I would recommend this for people over 12. I mean, people under 12 could probably get away with watching this, or people around 10 and 11, but 12 years is recommended.

This show is hilarious. Not only that, but it has a great lesson to teach about family. No matter how many mishaps Drake and Josh get into, they always try to make it work. Sometimes, some of the younger viewers won't understand some of the dating drama that occurs. But it's, for the most part, a very clean show. And like I said, it's hilarious!
