It's a funny show. I've enjoyed it. It has some sexual innuendoes and some occasional language. I wouldn't recommend this for children but I say its fine for teens and above.

I have all 10 seasons!
I have watched this show from the very beginning, and as soon as the dvd's came out I've had them. Now with the full collection I watch them all the time! My oldest was born during the 3rd season, so I've always watched it with him around. While he was younger I didn't worry about it, because he was too young to understand any of it. Even when he was 7-8 he didn't understand any of the "innuendos", but now that he's older (11) he gets them. But since I've let him watch in the past, how do I stop him now? If I had to do it over again, I would. Definitely not for tweens. Maybe 13+.

Classic...
This is another one of those classic shows that I think everyone has seen at least one episode of. The characters are lovable, their situations are funny, and their personalities are diverse enough that there's something for everyone. My mother, 12-year-old sister and I love this show; it's one of our favorites. Rarely, we do change it if the episode is too sexual, for the sake of my sister. But there's no way it's bad enough to be given anything higher than a TV-14 rating, at it's worse.

A true comedy
This is a true comedy, a excellent mix of characters makes youlaugh out loud, although it has common reference to sex, the show is more about comedy, the amasing fact Joey gives his pizza a sapecial table, Ross is smart yet stupid and chanelers general everythingness. Y7 +

Sends highly questionable messages to teens
Premarital sex with multiple characters is ok. Having babies out of wedlock is ok. Lesbian "weddings" are ok. These are not the messages I want my child to receive.

Fun for me, I don't want my children to watch it
I like it. I turn it off when my kids get home. Don't mind watching it with my 15-year-old...sometimes.

Questionable Message
This like most sit-coms send a questionable social message and is contaminated with gratitutious sexual activity and innuendo. Young children should not be exposed to such behavior.

Not for kids
As an adult I watched and enjoyed this show. I don't, however, feel that it is a show kids should watch. There is a lot of promiscuity, between the regulars and guests. There is a lot of innuendo. As Rachel works in fashion, it is implied that females must wear designer clothes (as all the cast did) to be "cool". There is a lot of drinking. Discussion of drug use. Babies born out of wedlock. A lot of swearing, including "Oh my God" in every single episode. If your older children watch, I feel it would be best to watch with them and discuss what the characters are doing and how their choices are right/wrong.

Absolutely wonderful!
Listen folks, this show is beyond awesome. Let's face it: our kids hear this stuff in school by the time they're in fifth grade. Besides, this show has fantastic writers, making it genuinely funny. Everyone that does something wrong gets punished, and, really, I let my ten year old daughter watch FRIENDS. C'mon, its Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Dave Shwimmer, and Matt LaBlanc. LOVE IT!!!

Good riddance!
So many kids watch this show, and it is NOT for kids! It should never have been on at 8pm. It was funny years ago for adults but has gotten worse each year--it is time to put this one out to pasture! Unfortunately, now it is going to be on after school since it will be syndicated even more now that it is off the primetime schedule, so even more kids will see it.

Legendary TV Show
Great TV show - one of my favourites. There is some iffy sexual stuff in the show and the characters aren't perfect, but if they were, the show would be very unrealistic. I don't understand why commonsense media think there is something wrong with all the characters being white; I don't understand why their 'race' should make a difference. Also, the characters show that they care for each other, even though they aren't perfect.

Brilliant. The best show ever made. Seroiusally funny. Under 14's can watch it but may not get most of the jokes as it is mainly adult humor - I didn't get anything until I was 13 :) A must watch.

perfect for tweens and up.
I love, love, love it. Ever since the first season. It's not just about their dirty jokes or funny lines (well mostly it's about the funny lines), it''s also about their friendship, hence the title "Friends". It's a great show, really. I own the ten whole seasons. ;)

My Mom always wants to watch this during dinner, and for once I can agree with her! =D
It's kind of funny how my Mother considered this a family show in our house when it is meant to be an teen and up show (I have a younger brother). However, it's probably one of my more favorite shows now! It's truly hilarious and the characters are all very likable! I'd recommend this to just about anyone older than 12! However, not everyone might get some of the jokes, especially younger viewers,

I remember my sister always watching this show when she was twelve and up. I started watching it when I turned 9 or 10, I believe. It is a hilarious show. I personally own five seasons on dvd of it. It's great.

Love this show!
My parents let me watch this show when I was 10, but to be honest I think it's best for 12 and older. The show is halarious (especially Joey and Chandler) and it has a great plot. Everyone says this show is just another sex and the city (which is funny especially carry and samantha) but I disagree. Although it has it's fair share of sexuality and jokes about sex I think it has a good message. The message is that their friends so they'll do anything for them. Even though their usually in sticky situations about sex the other friend is always there to back him up. A must see!

i love friends so much. my mom bought me the 1st season and i'm addicted to it (i'm 12). yeah, theres some bad stuff like one of the episodes someone begs someone for sex and stuff but theres nothing you don't learn in like 4th grade. seriously, its not that bad. my 8 year old bro watches it some of the stuff is over his head but he loves it too. i love it.

Very Funny!
This is one of my favorite TV shows. I am upset that its over, but so be it. Its apporpriate for kids 11+ I think. My mom actually watches this, and she doesn't like most TV shows! There is very little violence and a medium amount of sexual content. Example: shots of characters in bed, not that bad. There is premarital sex, but I think thats OK.

One of the longest TV comedies running ever...for a reason
"Friends" was one of the longest TV comedies running on TV ever...for a reason. Each episode, you knew one of the characters would make you laugh for ten minutes straight, but felt like you laughed for the whole half an hour. It's funny and exaggerated, yet real, too. Just watch and see for yourself!

L-O-V-E
I LOVE this show! I've been watching it with my mom since I was 9 or 10. Even though sometimes the scenes were they were in bed, or having adult conversations were uncomfortable to watch with my mom. You look past it, and this is one of the FUNNIEST shows of all time! I love all they all have their own unique personalities...Joey is HALARIOUS!
