I used to watch this show as a 31 year old woman. I then started to feel convicted when I was embarrassed to watch it with my own parents and my husband! I just feel that it treats sex very casually and sends the wrong message to kids about relationships. Sex is at the forefront of discussion in almost every episode. While I enjoyed the humor, it was often crude and I decided to give it up even though it was a favorite of mine during it's first season. If you don't mind your child thinking it's okay to have casual/premarital sex then by all means, let them watch it.

A Witty, Slightly Adult Sitcom
HIMYM piles on the sex exactly as much as the average late-tweens/teens do these days. I, being one, would know. The characters really shine when looked at closely enough, and the writers are working on toning down Barney's womanizing. Besides that... yeah. Watch it now, although keep any sixth-graders or younger busy with a coloring book.

I LOVE THIS SHOW
First of all let me say I'm 11, I just don't know how to change it. Along with Family Guy and American Dad this is probably my favorite show. Language isn't too bad because we've heard it all. I think the bottomline is an 11 year old can watch... wait for it... AND LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, TEENS ARE MORE MATURE THEN YOU THINK. IM 13 AND THIS WAS NOTHING: PARENTS, GET OVER YOURSELVES. WE HEAR SO MUCH OF THIS STUFF AT SCHOOL SO WE ALREADY KNOW. WE PROBABLY KNOW MORE ABOUT THINGS THEN YOU DO. REALLY, IF YOU RAISED YOUR KIDS RIGHT, THIS WILL HAVE NO EFFECT.

This is the best sit com on tv. HOw yall only give a 3. This show is Legen... wait for it....Dairy (quote from Barney Stenson from the show). It is very funny!!!

Not so bad
Ya maybe barney likes to do every girl in town, but the show shows absolutely none of that. It is funny and very entertaining... it is also stupid... so you can watch without thinking... sometimes thats good!!!
