InuYasha is fine for anyone 11 and up. It doesnt have anything that bad besides language and mild violence. I watched it when I was about 10-11 and it was fine.

Anime is not universally intended for children.

This one's pretty tame. There's some violence, and in the dub they use on cartoon network, some cursing. I think I remember some suggestive scenes, but nothing terribly mature. That being said, I can't think of any reason a teen shouldn't be allowed to see this one. As for quality, it's about average. The art is fairly good, but the plot gets drawn out at times. Some of the characters are kind of flat and unconvincing, but that's typical.

    i loved it!

I think the show is cute with shippo the young fox demon. He is a funny character. If I were the master control operator for both cartoon network and adult swim I'D put the show on cartoon networks program block. It is a lovely show. It keeps me very calm and happy.

    A Good Show

I don’t see any problem with Inu Yasha. I have a five and a seven year old and they watch it all the time. They absolutely love it. The violence (if you want to call it that) is nothing compared to what kids see in the movies. I would worry more about the fanfiction based on this show then I would the show itself.

Good show, but only for 14+

As many of the kids have suggested in their ratings, CS has rated this show way low(maybe only the first episode was watched?). In many of the later episodes there is much nudity and one of the main characters miroku asks every pretty girl to bear his child. They also curse alot(usually not the bad side of profanity though) It can be pretty funny though.

    Inuyasha

Inuyasha isnt anything bad.OK sure they cuss by saying damn and hell and thats all. There is nothing bad about it like there is no sex, drugs, alchoal nothing like that.It is just about a guy who is trying to get a jewel back that was shattered by this woman. There is love connections but nothing serious except for a man always ask woman to bare his children thats it.My sons hero is Inuyasha. He acts like him all the time.My daughter has a huge crush on Inuyasha.

    My concerns are:
    • Excessive violence
    • Inappropriate sexual content
    • Inappropriate language

adventurous, funny & romantic = this show!

you only get the show if you watch from episode 1. what i like about the show is how cute it is kagome, inuyasha and kikyo have some kind of love triangle and how sango and moroku secretly love eachother. not to mention the crazy violence and blood that appears. this show is so awesome a 12 year old would definitly LOVE it. i've been watching it sice first grade. what cracks me up is how kagome makes inuyasha get hurt bady by saying "sit boy"

    My Second Anime

There are some nude scenes, and there is profanity. The characters are the good guys. Though they have their faults, what human (demon) doesn't? They fight for good, and to make their ambitions reality. That's enough of a good role model for me.

Anyone that's like a pre-teen or a tween can watch it.

I love this show, but it can be inappropriate. There's suggestive themes, partial nudity, cursing (a lot of it), and violence. Overall, it's still the best show I've ever watched! I recommend it!

Not the greatest anime in the world, but still good.

This is another anime I used to watch when I was 12. I know there are still teens my age (and older than me) who still like this show, but I think it's best for kids 12-13 years old. This isn't a kid's anime since there is plenty of action violence, a little bit of mild cussing, and a pervert. Like Naruto this show is really long and repetitive, so it can be a little boring at times. But the characters are lovable (especially Shippou) and it has a decent plot and some good action. Fine for kids 12+, and iffy for kids 8-11. Highly recommended as a first anime.

Inuyasha is an appropriate anime for children

I think InuYasha is perfectly suitable for children 8 and up, as long as they have their parents' permission. So what if there's some swearing and a little violence? Kids have to learn about it at some point in their life, and as long as they know not to do it it's perfectly fine. My parents have no problem with me and my brother (who is nine, by the way)watching Inuyasha as long as we don't swear at them or something. Personally, I can't understand why it's even ON adult swim besides the swearing and violence.

    InUyAsHa RoX mY sOx!!

Yeah, Miroku is a perv but he makes us all laugh! If I wasn't open to world of anime and mostly Inuyasha, I would some freaky prep stuck with dare I say it? Disney Channel. Blech. InuYasha made me who I am. Not to get all deep of course. Kagome and Sango are great role models for girls and Shippo and Kirara are adorable!

    A personal favorite

The characters are fun and it's easy to get caught up in the romances found in the show. The plot is pretty repetitive though, probably the shows greatest set back. The language is a bit crude and there are innuendos, but still a fun watch for older kids and teens.

    Great but not for children

Although I have seen this show since I was very young, there is a reason its on adult swim. It's extremley wonderful anime and the characters are very fun although characters like Miroku (who go around asking for sex and touchings girls bottoms) arent appropriate for children.

    AWESOME ANIME!

This is one of the best Animes I have ever seen! I think people 9+ should be able to watch this. Also the only preverted thing is Miroku but everything else is just fine. Please watch this. Its awesome!

This is my #1 fave show!

The only thing I see wrong is that Miroku is a pervert, rare use of language, and minimal blood. I watch it either every Saturday at 11 pm or everyday at 5 am.I can never miss it or I'll die! It's perfectly fine for tweens if their parents don't mind a bit of language and trust their kids.

    Jeeze...

I looked at some of the other reviews people made and really, some people just dont give kids enough credit. Me and my friends started watching it when we were 8 or 9 because thats when it came out. I loved it! But really, what are kids ganna do run around asking girls to bare their children? If the parents just explain not to do that, its rude. I really dont think its a problem, even if they dont tell them the kid should know that. My little sister wwas watching worse things when she was like 5. Even with the swearing its not that bad, its really funny. You really would be supprised at what your kids already know. They are ganna eventually swear, because of kids from their school, so I really dont think this show would be the cause of that. If you compare this with the shows on cartoonnetwork I think this is beond better. if you really watch the stuff on CNW its really gross, and makes me sick to my stomache just watching it.

    I love this show

It is a great show where inuyasha, kagome, and shippo ( a fox demon) are trying to recover all the shards of the shecon (forgive my mispelling) jewel. They are doing it in a good cause. In one episode "the soul piper and the mischevious soul" inuyasha and kagome try to help her (the spirit) make amends with her mother so she can go to heaven so I guess they care that she doesnt go to hell when the soul pipers eyes do not open wide( that is the prelude to it taking a child who was bad and didnt accept their death down to hell) overall, the demon stuff doesnt bother me and I try to watch bothe episodes each saturday

    Great Show

This is a great show. I watch this show all the time and love it! I would say it's OK for kids about age 12-13 and on. There is some bad language, but not a lot. There is little gore and a lot of violence. Younger kids may be scared by the demons depicted. There is some nudity, but nothing is really shown. Sex is not an issue... Besides one character. There is one perverted character who "touches" women occasionally and asks them to have his children. There is a lot of sword fighting and "magic" used to kill. All in all, I would say kids 12 should be OK, but age 13 may be better.
