The boys were looking at her boobs
There was a show that they were talking about the girls assets. Her bust and bottom and told the boy to stop looking at them and look at her face. Isthis what we should be teaching children my daughter is 8 and I do not want her learning about that as the kid was 6 that was staring and her bust how do they let this happen on Disney. I thought it was safe no more disney is cut off in my home.

Lizzie is Bad Influence
We let our 8 year old watch this show and no more than 2 weeks later we had a mini Lizzie in our home. She began talking like her and treating us the way Lizzie treats her parents- like idiots. Not a good influence at all. I see the intention- but know your child. Mine was too motivated to be just like Lizzie- YIKES

Give me Lizzie, you keep Hillary
Our whole family enjoys watching this program. This is the way middle school should be for our children. I love it! I am not, however, too fond of the Hillary Duff music videos that are played on Disney Channel now, or her movies.

I felt a little annoyed.
I hate how Lizzies' parents are portrayed on this show. Mom and Dad are like buffoons when it comes to Lizzie and and her brother.

Inappropriate influence
This show tries to teach kids lessons about growing up. However, I think it misses the mark. A girl that age should not dress so sexually and wear makeup. If the show wants to send a positive message for young girls, Lizzy should have parents who care enough to ensure that she dresses well. Furthermore, Lizzy’s character could have been played by someone a little more average looking than Hillary Duff.

Bad role models
While the ethnic (Jewish and Mexican) diversity is nice, everything else about this show is awful. No girl that age should wear so much makeup or such revealing/tight clothing. She's mean to other kids and rarely atones for it.

Girls LOVE Lizzie!!
All girls LOVE Lizzie...she goes through all the highs and lows and pre-teen angst they do...and she's funny. The show's characters really ham it up sometimes, but are never obnoxious about the humor. The siblings argue like all do, but help each other when needed.
The girls in the show are VERY self-aware of what they are wearing, how they look, and all things dealing with appearance. They wear entirely too much make-up for thier age...and that isn't appropriate to encourage. What happened to natural beauty? Young girls are beautiful, some lip gloss & a highlighting blusher perhaps...but that's as far as it should go.
But the family discusses their problems, sometimes once things have gone too far, and the kids don't always get off lightly. But for the most part...the parents are "dorky"--because they're their parents...but cool in a spot.

My kids love this show--and so do I!
Here is a funny show that's got wonderful characters and a great family. It's full of strong positive messages about friendship, loyalty, honesty and has wacky parents and a great little brother. There may be too much, in my opinion, emphasis on the girls' clothing and accessories, but my daughter loves that, and it is outshadowed by the story and great writing.

my girls love lizzie and I think she's okay too
Okay, she's pretty and perky but she's still some of the best tv going for young girls. Sometimes we get into good discussions but mostly I just sit an watch with my 7 and 9 year olds. Their brother thinks it's lame but otherwise, this is a fun half hour in my house.

I love this show, Too bad they took it off :[ They had a bunch of funny moments and what they should do. It is way better then hannah montana, with all her drawn out problems.

Slightly enjoyable.
Maybe not the best Disney show, but it stays pure enough for any kid to watch. Plus, Hillary Duff is a great singer.
I rate this title on for age 2 and give itAWESOME!
This show is clean as a whistle. There is NOTHING bad. Lizzie is a teenage girl, all her behavior is normal! Wanting to fit in, wanting to look good and impress people, is how all teenage girls feel! Hello, I would know... I am one. Lizze sometimes gets mouthy with her parents (what teenager hasn't??), but in the end realizes how much she needs her family and friends. This show is all about learning lessons. This show ROCKS! I am sad that they don't show it anymore.

Good for little kids!
For girls ages 5-10, this is a great show. It's pretty true to middle school... it's not as inappropriate as parents are saying. Young kids won't look as deeply into it as parents are thinking...

good series funny just ok

Unrealistic
There were no big issues of violence or drugs, etc., but it is not worthwhile viewing. It is very similar to other shows of its type. It is somewhat unrealistic with Lizzie's overwhelming desire to be perfect. Some girls may try to follow her example a bit too closely. Lizzie's parents are pictured as naieve losers, and lizzie seems to wear alot of makeup.Popularity and clothes were overemphasized. This is not, for the most part, real life.

Well........
My ten year old sister loved lizzie but not my parents. Lizzie in the show was 13 but being played by an 16/17 year old actress whos body is to perfect and does not look loke a 13 year olds. Modesty was clearly forgotten and while true some do dress like lizie gives them more a to dress trashy. She is also shallow, boy crazy, and makes a hugh deal about being popular. MIDDLESCHOOLERS DO NOT ACT THIS WAY.

Unless you want your kid to turn into a self-centered, mean-spirited, shallow little brat, I suggest you do not watch this show. It's a bad example for kids. True, lots of tweens wear revealing clothes like that, but it's still not right, and Lizzie is mean to people she doesn't like. Just a bad influence, that's what this is.

Lizzie McGuire is a great show for girls! I have been watching the show since it came out, ive seen every episode. Lizzie went through all the issues during a teens life and she got through it, shes a great role model for teens. when the show cancelled most girls were very upset, and they all miss her, but the re-runs are still shown on the week days on Disney chanel and mornings on ABC. I think this show is apropriate for kids 8 and up.

This is a fun show
Lizzie Mcguire is a funny show. IT is about the lizzie's problems, and how she solves them. Personally, my favorite scenes are those involving Matt, since they're the funniest. The animation is cool!

Cute when you're young enough.
I used to watch Lizzie, but found it boring and shallow. It's become a cliche: a girl and her best friends go to school and get over their little episode-by-episode problems. So many other shows are the exact same thing that it just isn't so good anymore.

Is Lizzie the "it" girl or the "annoying" girl?
Lizzie McGuire, a TV show made primarily for girls in middle school features the misadventures of Lizzie's brother Matt and the parallel plot of her at school, at the mall or with her friends. The show's humor is mildly funny, the acting is considerably mediocre, but Hilary Duff (who stars as Lizzie) is definatly an endearing young starlet. Although it's "made for kids", Lizie McGuire also may teach your children about the importance of popularity, as Lizzie constantly struggles to find herself and her image in the highly stereotyped world of middle school the show creates. Racial diversity is plentiful (Lizzie's best friend is Hispanic, Matt's is African American) but the show would have been better if featured around the "Screw-Society" future filmmaker Gordo, Lizzie's adorably witty guy friend who usually ends up teaching the lesson at the end of each episode. The plots may get restless and old, but the show does not fail to entertain the masses. Be sure to ask your child about the importance of popularity. Is it really nessecary to change yourself to make others like you? Why is Lizzie so insecure? Is Kate (the "popular" girl) really someone to be afraid of?
