    A madman, lots of drunks, a backstabbing woman, and evil father.

  • Violence:

    First show featured a stalking, a fist fight, an abduction and menacing behavior.

  • Sex:

    Everyone is hooking up with everyone and violence is paired with sex.

  • Language:

    Nothing your average high schooler wouldn't say but still not for kids.

  • Consumerism:

    I suppose if you are a surfer dude.

  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Every scene featured alcohol and excessive drinking was everywhere.
 

What Parents Need to Know

About North Shore

Parents need to know that this show pushes the envelope -- it's a cross between a soap opera and everyone behaving badly. This show should not be watched by kids. The behavior is bad enough -- a lying evil father, a stalker ex-boyfriend, a back-stabbing woman -- (sort of Dallas on steroids) but the alcohol consumption alone knocks this show out of the box.
