The quality of this show has really gone down with time.

I feel like they've redone a lot of the things I remember being on the show ten years ago. That's just lazy writing.

    Another 90s classic from Nick

I gave sex a pause because on one episode Tommy snuck into his parents' bedroom and pulled his dad's nipples. On "Rugrats" there were some episodes focusing on other TV shows, which is why I gave commercialism a pause. One episode was about Tommy's mud video being featured on "America's Funniest Home Videos". Another was about Didi on "Super Stumpers", a parody of "Jeopardy!" hosted by Alan Quebec (voice of Alex Trebek).

    I can't stand this show!

I'm surpised and disappointed that CommonSense recommends this show. Angelica's behavior is just so bad. It may be ok to explain to older kids that her behavior is unacceptable but why on earth would I want my 5 yo to learn how to be mean and disrespectful?

    Unnecessary garbage

They spend so much time complaining and calling each other names on the show. My kids act and talk much better now that I don't allow that show on in our house

    Great for Talking Points

My daughter has watched the Rats since she was two. As a daycare kid, we were able to use the situations between the kids to talk about school issues (albeit at a 2 or 3 year old level). From an early age she understood Angelica has bad behavior but a good heart and was able to apply lessons from the show to her real life friendships. I wouldn't put a child alone in front of the show, but watching together RugRats is great fare for talking with your child.

    ...

I love everything about this show. As long as Angelica's behavior is discussed, I'd recommend it to any age.

    • Positive messages

hang on to your diapers babies!

why nickelodeon? why did they have to cancle it? i've been watching this show forever and i still love. this show seems appropriate for little kids but i didn't start getting some jokes till age 9. besides, they're only babies who sometimes are bullied by a 3 yr old girl.

Great cartoon for me when I was young; I highly recommend it to younger kids now~

As far as little kids' shows go, this is the best. I obsessed over this show until I was 12; I loved the characters, their comical adventures, and where their misunderstandings of the things the adults said took them. My favorite episode will always be "okey-dokey Jones" since the babies were pretending to be Indiana Jones, another obsession of mine at the time. I like both the old and newer episodes, they all contain cute fun. It's a great show for little kids for entertainment and even a little learning. Angelica may be a horrible role model, but the bad things always happen to her in the end, showing kids you can't get away with that sort of stuff. Contrary to Rugrats, All Grown Up was a stupid "sequel". (it shows the babies when they're all grown up, hence the title) It showed my favorite little babies grown into character not even recognizable to me. They acted like "cool teens" and did stupid things that were not comedic at all. I know THAT show didn't last very long at all. (I still regret them ever making it in the first place though) So the Rugrats were the best, with many great episodes (a few dull ones of course) and lovable characters. Wonderful kids show.

    Wonderful!

Rugrats is wonderful Nick has to show this nicktoons more often if they want to improve their network. It would sure score higher ratings and the by month the amount of veiwers are going to soar above every network. I love those little babies. they are just so bad, funny, oblivious, and cute. It has been runing for at over a decade approximatley about 13 years. That is the longest series I have ever heard of. It also has 172 episodes Rugratsis like one of Nickelodeons best series that they ever tought of and originally produced in the studio

    I laughed

I've watched this show since I was two. I allways loved it. There is not anything wrong with it but when Angelica says stuff like "You dumb babies", to Tommy and the gang it's a little mean. I think it's a great show for all ages.

A must watch TV show....even for teens

For little kids, this show is fun to watch, for older kids/teens (10-15) this show is hillarious. There are many exgaratted things in the commonsense review, they forgot to mention that Angelica DOES get punished for her behaviour

    lets see

I will admit something. You remember that episode where the babies colored all over the wall? Apparently, that message did not come through (that I shouldn't) and I colored a small ammount on my living room wall when I was 7. It's a very good show if you understand that it is just a show and totally exagerated scenarios. But if your kids are young, even though it's funny, maybe not...

    Comercialism Kills

Well I used to love the show. Then the movie came and I liked that. Then the second and I liked that. Then the special and I didn't really like that. Then the special became a show (which is inaccurately portraying ages in my opinion) and I disliked that. The old episodes of Rugrats are good, but after Dil was added I liked it less. Kimi didn't add or take away anything tho.
