Just a rant. Boy, was it fun to write this.

Ok, I don't regularly watch this show. I'm mainly writing this review to rant on the user ProudMotherOf6. I read your review for this show, and I laughed so hard, I decided to read the rest of your reviews. Wow. I feel sorry for your kids. I know I'm not a parent or anything, but I do know that there is a time to let go. Your 17 year old will be moving away soon. You can't follow them around all the time and smash their TVs and put them in "time-out" forever. Your 17 year old is way too old for that. It's both funny and disturbing, how protective you are. No Internet? Why? How does this make sense? Plus, if Internet is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN, then how did you write this review? Oooh, I think that somebody has to get their rules straight, or else your children will stop listening to you and transform your household into an Anarchy. In short, stop being a Communist. It's not cool. Peace!

    My concerns are:
    • Inappropriate language

    They said the "f

I think that this show isn't that good. My mom said that it used to be funny, which I can't believe. The only good part is the "just kidding" lady. Oh, yeah, and on one episode they said the "f" word... LIVE... ON TV... I could HEAR it! So the cursing is bad because of that, I think. So ages twelve or thirteen or maybe even fourteen plus are prolly okay to watch this.

    Good for tweens and older!

One of my favorite sitcoms! You'll throw your head back and laugh at some funny sketches. Language isn't that much of a concern, but there is a lot of sexual humor. Most skits/sketches are okay for kids 11 and up, but some may be a little mature! Peace.

    Sometimes Funny/Sometimes Inappropriate; Teens Only

SNL can be very funny at times. To the point of not being able to speak or breath. Having said that, a lot of the jokes have a sexual theme or reference certain body parts. Most of time when this happens, I'll just turn the TV off and go to bed. Not because of the content, but because it just plain isn't funny. Even with the inappropriate stuff aside, younger kids will not get any of the jokes, which focus mainly on making fun of society. Bottom Line: Stay up and watch at least the first cold open (which is usually political and very funny) and a little after that. Very rarely is there anything inappropriate in that section of the show. After that, teens only.

Everything's Wrong With It... But Still Watch It!

It's funny and inappropriate in EVERY way, but I think it's funny and that's really in my eyes all that matters. I have been watching the show religiously since I was 2.

    Great show~

Besides an occasional inappropriate episode or plain boring one, this is a really great show. It's usually very funny and not too explicit for the average 13 year old. I don't usually like the musical performances though... I've enjoyed watching it every Saturday night since I was twelve. ^_^ The season finale for 2009 was an especially funny episode, my favorite part being the Jeopardy parody. They usually get great hosts and make great fake commercials. My favorite part will always be the weekend update, but I miss Amy. ;_; They take current events and poke some fun at them, it's quite enjoyable. ^_^

    this is an AWESOME show!!!!!

Well, this is a pretty funny show, and since they beep out most of the words, I think it's pretty well-approved. This show is filled with brillaint humor and is the best comedy show I have seen in years, next to America's Funniest Home Videos.

    SNL KICKS A**

SNl, home to the future Hall of Fame Commedians, such as Darrell Hammond. Great and beloved commedians such as Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Will Ferrell, Mike Myers, Danna Carvey, and Jimmy Fallon all got their start hear. Parents be warned, the funnier skits involve nasty and offensive comments such.

Sometimes funny, sometimes questionable, sometimes just grose!

It's funny, but there are downsides. There are alot of grose stuff talking GROSE! Example Rainn Wilson said that another guys substance made from his kidneys came out his nose (Grose huh?). And by questionable I mean like TV Funhouse Dora the Explorer Spoof and she saying, "Can you help me decide if Robert Blake was innocent?" Huh? And by funny I mean Peyton Manning teaching kids how to hack into to cars. It's funny but dumb at the same time. But I haven't even got to Weekend Update. There is bad singing by Sanjaya, Dan Akroyd crying, and it is actual real news but just making fun of it like this segment about Lindsay Lohan's puppies. Seth Meyers: Lindsay Lohan told GQ magazine that she recently purchased two puppies hoping they will force her to stay home and take care of them. (pause) This just in: Lindsay Lohan's puppies are dead." There is an example of one. Here is another one, Amy Poehler: ABC announced this week that it has renewed "Lost" for a fourth season. Said the show's writers, "Oh, crap." See how funny it is? So it is what it is.

    Best For Adults But Amazing

I think that Saturday Night Live is a great show very funny but FILLED with adult humor. The new episodes are good but the older ones ( I own them on DVD) are the BEST!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

That's what you'll say when you watch this show. Although it has lost its laugh a bit (No more Tina Fey, Horatio Sanz, Darrell Hammond, or Rachel Dratch? Darn!), the show still has a lot of funny sketches. But the Weekend Update news parody, the TV Funhouse animated shorts, and the commercials are my favorite, personally. It's TV-14 because some sketches use questionable words and innuendo as well as imply sex (esp. in TV Funhouse shorts). But hey, no show has made me laugh so hard. I say 10+ can handle it with parents, 12+ without, not 15+, you Common Sense!

    Great Show

I feel this show has lost some of its funny over the years but they have some really great people there. Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch. It is a shame that Tina is leaving. This is a very funny show. Some younger kids may not get it. There are some stuff that isn't REALLY funny, but give them credit, they only have a week to write, and rehearse.
