Sheira & Loli's Dittydoodle Works

What’s the Story?

Reviewed by Emily Ashby

Rag doll twins Sheira (Julie Smith, voiced by Sheira Brayer) and Loli (Claudine O'Rourke, voiced by Leora Brayer) are great at creating fun. That comes in handy at their fun-making factory, Dittydoodle Works, where each day is a new adventure waiting to be explored with their colorful cast of friends. But sometimes their escapades bring them face-to-face with problems they can't sort out, and the sisters must turn to their friends for help. Along the way, they discover what it means to be a responsible person and a good friend.

Is It Any Good?

3

This vibrant series will quickly capture preschoolers' imaginations with its colorful characters and kid-friendly adventures. Young viewers will easily relate to the girls' concerns about honesty, self-esteem, and respecting others' feelings, and they'll also pick up constructive problem-solving techniques that they can use in their own relationships with friends and family.

Although it overshadows the show's educational/message aspect a bit, the series' high note is definitely its award-winning music, which is written and performed by twins Sheira and Leora "Loli" Brayer -- the real-life inspiration for the show's rag doll stars. Both kids and their parents will appreciate the musically talented cast, which includes appearances by Chaka Khan as Mother Nature.
