Why We Rated This on for Ages 6 and Up

What to watch out for

  • Messages:

The panda character is the prototypical "wise old teacher" who tries to get Skunk to do the right thing (and he does learn the odd lesson here and there). But several of the other characters sometimes model negative behavior in the way they treat others -- there's a lot of physical and verbal "pushing around," and that behavior usually isn't addressed as being either right or wrong (it's usually considered funny by other characters).
  • Violence & scariness:

Lots of cartoon slapstick that's mildly funny for the most part but occasionally takes a negative turn when an animal's distress elicits laughter and jeering from the other characters.
  • Sexy stuff:

    Not an issue.
  • Language:

    Not an issue.
  • Consumerism:

    Not an issue.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Not an issue.

What Parents Need to Know

About Skunk Fu!

Parents need to know that this cartoon, while cute enough, leans heavily on slapstick for its humor, and some of it occasionally goes overboard. The characters sometimes clobber each other or play practical jokes just for the sake of eliciting laughter, and a lot of it comes across (to adults who know better, anyway) as simply mean-spirited behavior.

Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about the way the characters treat each other. Do you think Skunk and his friends talk to each other and treat each other nicely? What do you think of they way they fight with each other? Do you think it's funny? Is it OK for them to tease and make fun of others the way they do? What other kinds of things do cartoon characters do that might not be as funny in real life?

    I loved it

Skunk Fu! is the most amazing show in the world. The action, the characters I can't get enough of it. But they should give Rabbit more screen time than Skunk.

    Decent Show

There ie cartoon kung-fu violence. This show is not that lame actually ignore what CSM say. There is alittle bit of bad behavior but "Master Panda" in this show always teaches Skunk a good-true lesson. The bad behavior about evens up with the good behavior so you decide if you want your kids watching this show
