I HATE IT. THE NEW ANGELINA SUCKS. First of all, happened to the England setting? Where's the Queen? Where's the old-fasnioned stuff? Where's the british speaking style? Using clips from episodes for the theme song? LAZY WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. It's too modern, it's stupid how everyone sounds like Dora: Oh! Let's go and have fun!!! NO. That makes them all sound bootsey! And singing some dumb song every three minutes? Laughing histaricly when nothing even happens? You've changed it into a baby show! FOR BABIES. The real Angelina I know, doesn't go frolicking with with her friends, making up stupid beats as they walk, or sing a merry song! They talk about things that are ACTUALLY HAPPENING. SAY, Ms. Lillie coming over for dinner, or a ballet show coming up. And what's up with Polly? She was like, an infant in the old series! Then, you're just going to make her older, and not make Angelina older? That's kinda scary, don't you think? I mean duhhh. And second off, what's UP with this new setting? Hip hop? Jazz? Instruments? THAT'S NOT BALLET YOU IDIOTS. It's not about a stupid comfort zone and I bet she wouldn't be afraid of dancing any other way than ballet, but learning ballet is her thing! She can't get distracted she poorly drawn charactrs who don't know the slightest clue of dancing!!! I don't know why you even bother calling it angelina ballerina anymore! You should call it, Angelina Everythinga! And third and finally of all, WHY DID YOU PUT ANGELINA IN A NEW AREA. WHY? Everything there is sooo not England style, and defianetly modern. But most importantly, why different characters? WHat happened to her boy, William? Or Henry, the little guy that makes everything possible? Or even the twins, the ones that keep Angelina on track. And OMG, Ms. Lille! WHY, oh WHY would you just scratch her out!? That's the only reason why Angelina even wants to do ballet, why she keeps pushing herself everyday, her pride and joy, to become a great BALLET dancer! Without her, she's nothing! Whoever this over bootsey teacher is, Mrs. Peach, Mimi WHATEVER her dang name is, she is nothing compared to Mrs. Lillie. So overall, this new production is HORRID. Why would some maniac, too lazy to draw so we'll do it in 3D, freaks like yourself, trample over the heart and soul of Angelina Ballerina? Me and ALLL the REAL Angelina Ballerina fans would really appreciate it if you'd suck in your pride, and make like it should be. I am especially furious with the owners of AB, just letting it become a heapping pile filth! DO NOT try to tell me, "Oh well, we need money." or, "Oh well, everything needs a change..." YOU FILTHY FILTHY FILTH! YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!!! I'M BEGINING TO BE HAPPY THAT THE CHANNEL OF PBS KIDS SPROUTS DOESN'T SHOW HERE, CAUSE BASICLLY, I DON'T WANNA SEE IT. Thank you.

pure junk
Horrible. Typical US blather and nonsense. They took an incredibly well done British cartoon and make something insipid, boring, and stupid. They should be put in prison for this. Or at least fired. Makes me sick. One of the few cartoons that I could enjoy with my two daughters. Oh well.

The New Angelina Ballerina Stinks!!!
The new AB is nowhere near as good as the old series. In the old series, AB dealt with real life issues and showed the emotions and consequences involved. In the new everyone is best friends and dances all the time; and that is far from real life. The new AB also doesn't look like a mouse. Who made the decision to make her a PINK mouse!!! Plus she has fingers and looks more like a human with a mouse costume. They need to go back to the old way the series was written!! I can tell you our 3 1/2 year old is not as intrigued in the new Angelina as she is with the old. We will keep watching the old series on DVD and read the old books!

New Angelina is horrid
This new Angelina the Next Steps is horrible. It looks stiff and the story lines have departed greatly from the original stories. Go find the old animated cell Angelina Ballerina, its great for girls and boys.

W.T.H
Very strange and boring. My daughter does not like it. She keeps asking for the real Angelina Ballerina. Since when did they all lose weight and become human looking? They seriously look like humans with a mouse head and tail. I read about it awhile ago and was looking forward to them being a bit older. But it's beyond ruined. Will they be showing the old episodes? I would of DVR'd them if I would of known it was being replaced so soon.

What happened to good old cartoon?
I was so disappointed to see the direction that Angelina has taken. It was one of the last original type cartoons. Not only that Angelina's voice has changed, her body has been morphed? My daughter and I both were both disappointed. We want the old Angelina back.

They've successfully turned lovely into crap.
I selected "not for kids" because it is no longer good for anyone . . . and if I could have given it zero stars I would have. This cgi "update" is simply dreadful, and it's not just the loss of the lovely and timeless English countryside animation that makes me sad. The old Angelina had characters that actually had some level of depth and subtlety -- the twins were snotty, Angelina herself had some bite, and you had to love Angelina's parents, and William, and Henry, even Sam. And they've done away with Miss Lilly! It's as if the folks in charge of Angelina were given a charge by someone to turn beauty into crap. It's such a shame they were so successful.

It's great for any child that enjoys dance and fun for parents too
My daughter who will be 3 this month LOVES this show and I enjoy watching it with her- I really love that it teaches actual dance steps along with everyday trials and leasons- hopefully it will on more often soon. So happy we have DVR- we watch the recorded episodes over and over- hope to see new ones soon!

Good for 4+ but not for littler ones
I was disappointed to see how much Angelina's little mouse body changed in this new series. Now she's a thin, human-like figure. There's too much pressure on girls to be thin and beautiful and AB should look like a mouse. I also think the interaction of the mouselings is more mature than what's appropriate for 3 year-olds. Teasing and making fun of one another is something (I hope) is foreign to those under 4 or 5. We still prefer the books!

Somethings should stay the same
I really miss the old cartoon and my daughter does 2. The new AB is dry to put it best. Please return to the true format. Until the me and my tutu wearing princess are out!!!

My 5 year old daughter likes this but not as much as the orginal Angelina Ballerina which she loved as a 4 year old. I agree with many of the reviewers here and do not understand why the producers felt compelled to update this wonderful cartoon. I think this new version is a bit sophisticated for a 3 year old.

Angelina Ballerina is a household favorite!
This is a show my daughter & I can watch together, and repeated viewings don't drive daddy crazy, either! The animation is extremely well done, and I believe the messages to be extremely positive as well. Highly recommended!

I hate the new Angelina and so does my 3 yr. old! Why couldn't you have just left it the way it was? We both liked the old one, please bring it back!

New CGI Version Has No Soul
Our little girl loves Angelina. But the outlet here in the states is Sprout and they seem to have taken to only the new sterile-looking CGI version which frankly blows. The old one with the English setting and the water-color looking story book animation looked far better. It may not have the precision of the new CGI version but it has more soul. Also The music on the old one is better too and much more like one would think of when it comes to ballet. I guess DVD's are the only way to give our daughter the old version of AB.
