A lot of people on this site, including the person that wrote the official review for this show, don't seem aware of the true nature of the show. Granted, many of the reviews were written before the show got so bad, but you need to understand that this is one of the most unapologetically obscene, violent, and racist shows you'll ever see, not to mention the fact that the jokes mock so many taboo issues. The violence is very graphic, with characters being decapitated, committing suicide, being ripped apart, having parts of their bodies blown off, etc. with copious amounts of blood. Profanity is also an issue. Even though the f-word is censored (even on the DVDs), there is still a lot of other words that are uncensored. Characters refer ro policemen as "pigs", and, in one episode, a strong word meaning "penis" is used 63 times in a 10-minute episode. One episode contains graphic drug content, with both dialog and depictions of characters getting high. The sexual content is also extremely offensive, with episodes featuring graphic sexuality, explicit humor, and one episode featuring four or five explicit rape scenes. But the worst thing, by far, is the message the show sends. Rape, cancer, and suicide are all portrayed as very funny and acceptable sources of humor by the show. One episode was banned from TV due to its racist depiction of African-American culture through hateful stereotypes, and implying that being black should be "cured". Honestly, I love this show, but I'm mature enough to make the distinction as to what behavior is and is not acceptable to repeat and emulate (the answer: nothing on this show). Many are not, especially fans of shows like this one without any positive messages whatsoever. NOTE: Most of the earlier episodes are a lot more appropriate than the ones mentioned here; it's the newest episodes that give the show a bad name.
