Hilarious show is completely over the top
Great show. Hilarious. But this review needs to be changed. In its early seasons, this show was fine for 10+ year olds. Now it has turned into a racist, sexist, cussing, drug filled show that at times rivals or even surpasses the likes of South Park in terms of inappropriate content. One episode involves a dog named Hand Banana repeatedly raping a character on screen. It is very funny the way it is portrayed, but that is the problem. It portrays rape as a funny thing. Another episode called "D*ckesode" uses the word d*ck 53 times in 10 minutes, shows millions of (poorly censored) severed penises, a large amount of blood, and a character who looks like a giant penis. Yet another disturbingly nasty episode involves a character microwaving cats to the point where they explode, with guts and blood everywhere. Also, a character eats feces on screen, and everybody dies at the end of the episode. The last episode I will write about is the most disgusting and inappropriate episode of ANY cartoon I have ever seen. This episode is called "Rubberman". In this episode, a duck is made out of used condoms and syringes, and brought to life. Rubberman (as he is called) is a horrible role model, and encourages Meatwad to smoke crack and kill homeless people for money. A character has his genitals bitten off on screen by a killer whale, crack is bought and smoked multiple times, Meatwad eats the contents of a used condom, a drug dealer is executed, a policeman is maimed and killed brutally, and a character has his arms cut off with a hacksaw. All this in a 10 minute show that is supposedly fine for young teens. Please change this review CommonSense, because this show is becoming the new South Park.

Depends on season.
OK, the first couple of seasons are definately OK for tweens and teens. These next seasons are not ok for tweens, and not early teens. They got very mature and more surreal during the later seasons. Don't let your younger kids watch new seasons just old ones.

Its like a roller coaster
Well, seasons 1-5 are ok, but the rest of the series goes up in language and stuff after that. Master shake and carl always die, but because they were being unreasonable. Just watch out for the mooninite episodes, but the series after ATHF, which is aqua unit patrol, is mostly appropriate for younger audiences.

Aqua teen hunger force is a great show but some episodes can be more adult then others. For example the first season of the show is ok for ages 12 and up and only contains a few swear words but new episodes are more edgier because one episode they had said the word d***k 56 times in explicitive ways but other then that episode its good for ages 14 and up

it really depends what episode you are watching. some episodes have only mild swearing and dialogue. others have mature themes and extreme violence. some episodes are tv_pg. others are tv_14 and the new ones are all tv_ma. this show is very bizarre and random but great. the first season is very tame and is ok for tweens. the new episodes are more iffy but should be fine for most teens.

Watch Carl.
It's the best. Parents should know that the show's best character (neighbor Carl) is also a terrible role model. So is Shake. It's also violent and sexual.

Hilarious, but a lot worse than many make it out to be.
A lot of people on this site, including the person that wrote the official review for this show, don't seem aware of the true nature of the show. Granted, many of the reviews were written before the show got so bad, but you need to understand that this is one of the most unapologetically obscene, violent, and racist shows you'll ever see, not to mention the fact that the jokes mock so many taboo issues. The violence is very graphic, with characters being decapitated, committing suicide, being ripped apart, having parts of their bodies blown off, etc. with copious amounts of blood. Profanity is also an issue. Even though the f-word is censored (even on the DVDs), there is still a lot of other words that are uncensored. Characters refer ro policemen as "pigs", and, in one episode, a strong word meaning "penis" is used 63 times in a 10-minute episode. One episode contains graphic drug content, with both dialog and depictions of characters getting high. The sexual content is also extremely offensive, with episodes featuring graphic sexuality, explicit humor, and one episode featuring four or five explicit rape scenes. But the worst thing, by far, is the message the show sends. Rape, cancer, and suicide are all portrayed as very funny and acceptable sources of humor by the show. One episode was banned from TV due to its racist depiction of African-American culture through hateful stereotypes, and implying that being black should be "cured". Honestly, I love this show, but I'm mature enough to make the distinction as to what behavior is and is not acceptable to repeat and emulate (the answer: nothing on this show). Many are not, especially fans of shows like this one without any positive messages whatsoever. NOTE: Most of the earlier episodes are a lot more appropriate than the ones mentioned here; it's the newest episodes that give the show a bad name.

I laughed so hard!!
This show is absolutely hilarious, but not for everyone. the sexual innuendos in some of the episodes are over the top in some places and some of the references and violence in certain episodes are awful. Great for 15+.

Kinda funny show
I'm a fan, but this show can be very hit or miss. Regardless of the fact it's on Adult Swim, teen are gonna watch it. There's no lessons, someone usually dies and is alive the next episode, crude sex, rape humor, toilet humor, slapstick, violence such as suicide, and strange stuff. If your parent who doesn't mind some adult cartoons for your kids, try it out. Just to be warned it's in no way shape or form aimed at kids. Never to be watched unsupervised.
