What's the Story?
In BIA, an artistic girl has suffered the loss of her sister. Though she grieves, Bia (Isabela Souza) sees the world through an artist's eyes, making paintings that reflect what she sees. Her friends and acquaintances are also making music, shooting videos and dancing. But some teens take their status as influencers so far that they stop being kind to the people helping them. Can Bia and her friends follow their dreams without getting sidetracked?
Is It Any Good?
Creative, bouncy, and musical, characters in this show are as obsessed with their images on social media as they are in the "content" they produce. Though there are themes of loss that create a subcurrent Bia's storyline, the many characters and their aspirations bubble to the surface like fizzy distractions. Sometimes the variety in this musical show feels overwhelming.
Teens who like musical and creative shows will appreciate this colorful show. Parents can rest assured there's no language, iffy stuff, or drinking, but might want to keep an eye on the messages conveyed that position social media quite highly.
