What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Bleach:Thousand-Year Blood War is the sequel of the anime series Bleach, which is adapted from a popular manga. It has some bloody fantasy violence and some occasional strong language, including "hell" and "bastard." Some images of female characters feature exaggerated large breasts (but they're fully covered). Fans of the franchise will be drawn to it, but those not familiar with the story may have a hard time following some of the plot.

What's the Story?
BLEACH: THOUSAND-YEAR BLOOD WAR Is the anime version of the final arc of the Bleach manga series. Hundreds of Hollows are crossing over from Soul Society to the human world, which has the potential of erasing the boundary between the two realms. Using his Zangetsu, Shinigami Ichigo Kurosaki (Johnny Yong Bosch/Masakazu Morita) and his powerful friends are ready to protect Karakura Town by bringing the Hollows down. But soon Ichigo comes across an enemy that has the power to take away the Soul Reapers' bankai.
Is It Any Good?
This action-packed, English-dubbed anime adaptation of the popular manga picks up where the last Bleach episode left off almost a decade ago. Fans of the series will find the cast familiar, which makes it appealing. Adding to this is the producers' efforts to expand on plot lines that the original series didn't fully develop. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is much darker than previous installments. Regardless, it manages to conclude Ichigo's story, and that of his friends, allowing viewers to get some satisfaction from knowing how it all ends.
