Amazing! But for young kids take in to consideration your childs level of comprehension and ability to handle gory images
I have been watching this show since it first premiered in 2005 so I was 8. I know some parents would never let their kids watch a show like this but I never had a problem with scary images. I am also able to follow the story very well and of course I love the relationship drama. I think parents should let their kids watch if they're interested in forensic anthropology and if they are smart enough to comprehend the plot. There are discussions of relationships which can get inappropriate but don't consume the entire episode. I say don't knock it 'till ya try it!!!
I LOVE BONES!!!!!! This show is awesome. I started watching it when i was 9, and loved it!! There is some violence, but that is only because it is a show based around murder. But you do learn some things. I also think there is good role models, because they are all smart scientists, so overall, GREAT SHOW!!!!
One this show is amazing and two yes they swear, three there are going to be some questionable scenes but i have one question to all of you if your kid is in high school and you don't let watch this what is big difference? I'm in high school and this show is pretty much the same thing so stop pretending.
This show has positive messages and no more swearing than seems usual for prime-time TV. The violence itself does not seem excessive, though the dead bodies shown may be disturbing. However, for these one may simply glance away for a moment, as there is nothing offensive.
i love this series. the fact the two main actors frequently direct it is great andd i think that apart from the dead bodies the overall humor and the characters are brilliant. (the dead bodies dont bother me)
This is one of the best shows on television. Brilliant casting and really good characters. The corpses are very bloody and can unnerve even me, a fifteen year old with a stomach of wrought iron. The role models aren't quite great either, as the majority of them are agnostics, and one of them is a sex addict. Booth is really the only good role model in the entire show.
Don't get me wrong, Bones is only for teens who are mature and have a strong moral compass. There is some sex, and even some weird sex portrayed, which my parents worry about, but it is portrayed as weird. I am not referring to the episode with the transgender victim, but the one with the cougar cruise, and the one with the 'pony play'. However, almost all the gruesome scenes are obviously fake, and therefore, not much of a problem. I think that there is more benefits than problems, though.Dr. Brennan has Asbergers, and the viewer watches her as she learns what comes naturally to most of us, and these lessons re-enforce positive morals in teens. Additionally, Booth is a wonderful role model. Booth constantly puts his loved ones before himself, and teaches Brennan and others by his wonderful example.
Great show! I have been watching it instantly from netflix. I have watched all the shows, I need my Bones. The show does get a little violent but it is fine for kids who understand that murder is bad. The good people out weigh the bad.
love this show very good i love it but there is some talk of sex and almost in every episode there is some gory body's that would probably scare lots of kids this show really just depends on what you like and how scared you get . Im 13 and some parts are iffy for me but I get over it but some people this might scare your older teens so it really just depends but over all this is a very good show love to wacth it but some episods are sorta iffy......
This show is the best ever !
Even though its about dead bodies It's probably not what you would think. In the show Bones and her team of scientists along with FBI Agent Seeley Booth try to find out the cause of death and who did it. The culprit is usually someone hardly metnioned in the episode. It's very funny at most times and the relationship between Bones and Booth is hysterical at some points
:) lovee this show !
i love this tv show it has very good role models like temperance brennan she is a strong hard working and friendly woman who shows that women can be as good as men as solving crimes and many characters are smart and very wise so children learn to be a crime investigator you need to be smart and be very good at not getting distracted easily.
My favourite show EVER!! I have liked David Boreanaz since I, as a baby, first saw him on Buffy back in the late nineties. My favourite vampire (Ed Cullen doesn't stand a sliver of a chance against him!) and FBI agent. I have learned quite a bit about the human anatomy too; and the jokes and innuendos are really quirky =D
The description "CSI-light" is only relevant when refering to the amount of goriness in the crime scenes. The topics of discussion in Bones make CSI look like a Disney Channel sitcom. While the characters in CSI fight against the sexual offenders and evil criminals, the protagonists of Bones discuss their sex lives and their sexual techniques as if they were talking about the morning weather. Although Bones may add more comedy into their show, it is only appropriate for 16-17 year olds at least.
This show is great there is some talk about sex in some episodes and there is some gory images but overall there is a good message and the weird inappropriate is portrayed as weird and not normal so you should not have to really worry about that.
I love the show. The cases are interesting, they sometimes deal with people or events relating to the character's pasts. I think that unlike many other forensic/crime shows 'Bones' has more of a "soap-opera" kind of feel at time.
I think that the overall attraction to the show, in various cases, is the "will they, or won't they" relationship between the two main characters, Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan and Special Agent Seeley Booth.
BEST. SHOW. EVER. the storyline is so well written and the actors are phenomenal, some gross dead bodies but its not that bad. I've seen every single episode multiple times, and it is by far the greatest show on television. No show even comes close, it gets better every season and is recommended for everyone to watch
This is, litterally, my favorite show. I fell in love with the characters, (mostly sort of quirky, but hey, if snobs and non intellectuals are your type, go watch Gossip Girl or something.) and I love the fact that it also has a developed plot line, but is not an annoying, skanky soap opera. Some graphic-ish images, and a very detrimental view towards psychology (with the exception of Sweets) but other than that, a good show for anyone who loves problem solving, and is NOT squeamish. (BIG part of it)
