Whiny but not Bad
Caillou is sometimes whiny and is not really a "role model" but does act like a typical 4 year old. The show encourages kids to explore and ask questions.

Anyone Watched the New Caillou? April 2, 1998 – October 4, 2010 (Canada)
Caillou used to be whiny, but now, he isn't. The Show's is now Animatied in Flash rather than in Korea and Caillou is now voiced by Annie Bovaird. Becuase somehow Jaclyn Linetsky died in some car addcendint. But Bryn McAuley voiced Season 1 and is still alive but i don't know why he gave up voicing Caillou, But he proably go tired of it.

Ok
My little brother doesn't like it, but I used to. Caillou can be a bit of a brat sometimes, but he learns his lesson by the end of the episode.

a great way to teach toddlers lessons about everyday life.
Caillou is the best little rolemodel for your young toddler. Caillou will teach them evry day lessons like : patience is a vertue, sharing is the friendly thing to do, if at first u don't succed try again... and there is sooooo many more lessons caillou can teach them! i recomend this fun tv show to ages 3-5 or maybe 6.

He is a bad role model.
He whines until he gets what he wants and doesn't ever get in trouble with his parents.

Caillou's head is huge lol
What a horrible show this is for kids. Caillou is a spoiled brat which is a better way I say he's a brat. He wines too much. Too much violence. Like when he was in a death chamber and got his head chopped of or he got shot by a gun or got eaten by a shark or other violent stuff. Not for any age. It's creepy. I HATE IT SO MUCH!!!!! Aahgh. I agree with other reviewers who complain that their children have begun to whine and be afraid of monsters after watching this show. Mine has done the same, and she also began to say that she "hates" things, and that she "gives up". Plus, what is with Caillou's parents? They never seem to be aware of what their children are up to, and they put up with behavior that doesn't get tolerated in my house, such as tantrums and whiny backtalk! They also seem to favor Caillou's little sister-mother especially seems to spend more time with her, while palming Caillou off on his dad, and when they find themselves unexpectedly without a sitter, they leave their kids with the weird old man who lives next door, whom they don't seem to know all that well. (Maybe I shouldn't be surprised, since they gave their son a name that translates as "pebble." I grew up during the seventies and knew a lot of people like that, none of whom I would trust with a child). Caillou gives up far too easily, cries far too much, and has a voice that even my little one finds piercing and annoying (when he whines "AWWWW!" I feel like banging my head against a wall). The only things my daughter has gleaned from this program are a few annoying habits-I'm not saying that a show which is strictly entertainment is a bad thing, BUT-we won't be watching this anymore. I can't imagine that this would benefit younger kids in any way, shape, or form, and older ones will probably be turned off by Caillou's immaturity (I can't believe that this kid is supposed to be four! I initially thought he was about two.) I only chose an age above because the site says I have to-if I could have bypassed that feature, I would have. Wouldn't you know it! The one thing kids will learn from Caillou was how to whine! While there is always a positive message at the end, it is lost in all the whining. This show is a definite no-no in any house. Caillou is a big brat and he is whiny! I despise this show totally, I can't look at his giant head too long. If your kids watch this or anybody watches this, You're a bad parent/kid. AND THEY LOOK UGLY!!!! AAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Caillou
I think Caillou whines a lot and her sister Rosie. My dad can't stand Caillou. He said he always whines and he's right. Your kids can watch it, but not to much. or your kids are going to think it's alright to whine. Let them watch it once a day.

Bald headed brat teaches kids the wrong lesson- not mature, it's IMmature!
Caillou is a whiney kid with bad parents. They let him get away with everything! My brother used to be banned from this show for catching Caillou the pebble's whining disease! Now, we watch it to make fun of it.

Why Am I Even Writing This Review?
This show is worse beyond words, and it heavily emphasizes on racism and stereotypes. Ha! If you don't believe me, check this out; in one episode Caillou visits one of his classmates, who is a Chinese girl. When he goes to her house, her house is this Chinese style house. Her family is dressed in traditional Chinese clothes and eat Chinese food and even speak Chinese. That is just creepy, period. It's like saying racism is educational. Now that does scare me because is the creator trying to use Chinese stereotypes to teach kids or can't they focus on the modern day Chinese? They can be the college guy next door who is a techie and extremely Westernized or they can be the old lady next door who's got a job and is an Apple fan. Come on, they have really got to stop it with the stereotypes. They even did one on Mexicans, which I found even more offensive than what they did with the Chinese. Caillou goes to this Mexican kid's birthday party and they were having a fiesta, there was a pinata, Mexican food and even Spanish was spoken. The Mexican kid's family lived in a Mexican style house (or was it a pueblo?). They have really got to stop with the stereotypes and look into reality, we are all different.
