I LOVE this show and it does NOT air on adult swim...
It's totally for kids and an adult would find it stupid but for kids it's AWESOME!!!! It's not that violent because nobody walks out with serious injuries. Sometimes they're rushed to the KND hospital for eating a brussel sprout or a bad hair-cut. Kids may get kicked or punched a few times in each episode but they really are not graphic.
Don't knock it 'till you try it!
This is violent? BAHAHA! Oh, god common sense quit beingt so overprotective. If you think this is violent then you might as well wrap your kids in bubble wrap. (like someone else said on here)
Whoever reviewed this show does not know what they are talking about
Let me start by saying, who ever made this review is a retard. There are no real harmful weapons besides the slapgun. The other long range weapons are mead from stuff like gum, soda, gumballs, etc. And yes, the one main African American girl on th show does have poor grammer, but there are many other recurring African Americans who have perfect grammer as well.
"Adults encourage bad behavior" my ass mom (whoever wrote this crappy review). It is called IMAGINATION. Get use to it.
Well, commonsnse messed up bigtime on this show. I reconized the episode they reviewed.
There was ZERO PERCENT BLOOD in it, not in the whole series except this one time were one of them got a tiny point seven inch cut. And about the teeth knocked out, I did see thst when one of the villains got hit on the head and spit out a tooth. For godsakes! Spongebob got hit and spit out his skeleton!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't listen to commen sense, they are devious, overprotective, melodramatic liars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay reviewer HughnitedStates has got this show all wrong! KND is awesome and even though some kids are battling EVIL(hence evil) adults doesn't mean it'll affect your children in anyway and result in a negative way. This cartoon is harmless, I used to watch this with my dad when I was like 8 and enjoyed each episode. I'd rather watch KND than some of the lame shows CN has on now. People over react big time!
I actually like the show, and not all shows need to have meanings. The kids have cute ways of putting somethings, in kid verson, yet they do always say 'Shut Up!' which they need to stop. Its not a 'bad word' but it doesn't need to be used all the time. The kids are agents adults, but only evil ones. They are very honorable, they usually follow treehouse rules and are hard workers. They treat friendship as something very important. Some episodes irritate me, but its actually a great show compared to crap like 'FlapJack' 'Chouder' and 'Adventure Time' I mean what on earth? Well, I'd let my kids watch it as long as they don't act like them, and I would raise them well enough for them to not imitate everything on tv. I use to love this show, and I'm glad its back on.
Hmph, what is this review? As a young boy, I wasn't raised with television so it was a treat being able to go to my friends house and watch it. Those were the days and ages when the comedy shows were just as enjoyable as the action shows.
After a while one show in particular in the CN universe grew on me. Code Name:Kids Next Door.
This show had this organized coolness factor about it which (at least mainly in the 1st season) exadurated problems and dislikes of kids. The story telling was clever (this was the series that introduced me to the dystopic future [operation F.U.T.U.R.E] and the virtual reality fake world) and the "multi-ethnic" groups of kids (at least thier voice acting) struck a cord with me.
One of the coolest factors of this show was the constant use of acronyms. Every vehicle and episode was an acronym.
The "2x4" technology they used was pretty clever. Even though it wasn't a real gun it's "psudo plausibility" made the home made technology AWSOME.
Having the characters go by thier "numbuh" names made them easy to recognize.I loved the characters accents and personalities that reacted off each other. The variety of villains gave this show an appeal to see who the next villain would be, but still knowing the main villain woulld be the Delightful Children from Down the lane (and eventually Father, who really wasn't anyone of thier fathers.)
As the series progressed, you do notice a growing cast of characters and a developing storyline that involves re-occuring plots, characters, betrayal and relationships.
The only time I'd say this series could be scary is during the OVA (Original Video Animation) Operation: Z.E.R.O where Grand-Father turns everyone (and thier hamster) into senior-citizombies.
All in all this show was I.N.S.P.I.R.I.N.G

This is operative Numbuh 53 over and out.
Did I mention team work is involved?
One Cartoon Networks last great franchises.
I don't see whats so bad about this show. They are only fighting EVIL adults who try to brings kids harm not adults period. The Number 5 character may say grammar mistakes but it wouldn't affect kids' grades. It is silly and most of the humor is really that funny. Its not that violent but there can be some intense battles. The show to me actually show to mes shows that kids can make a difference and they can have rights. This show really isn't that bad.
Seriously, while the show can take the whole 'adults are evil' thing a little seriously, I do agree that sometimes we have to stand up to adults! Even adults could learn from this! I love the fact that no matter where the kids come from, or whatever they do, they always work together. There is a lot of violence, but it's all slapstick Tom & Jerry stuff. And I gotta say, the kids are only disrespectful to those who deserve it. Five stars, and I say kids who already have their manners together can watch.
Great For Kids Who Don't Take Everything They See On TV Seriously
Like so many others on here, I am baffled to no end by this review. Ok, here's a REAL review for it.
What to watch out for:
Messages: Adults and teens are portrayed negatively, but it is stated quite a few times that they only fight EVIL adults.
Violence/ Scariness: There is quite a bit of violence, but it is NOT the only way they solve their problems. There is never any blood, and the only so called "torture" is kids being forced to clean their closets or eat vegetables. IT IS A JOKE. There are a lot of things that can scare your little kids, but the scariness is actually, how do you say this, the smart kind of scary. Not just the "Lets see how much we can squeeze under the radar" scary. One example of the scariness is kids often getting put through a process that leaves mindless and brainwashed.
Sexy Stuff: Lots of teen flirting and romantic relationships, specifically between Numbuh One and Lizzie, and Numbuh Four and Numbuh Three. There is also a lot of mild innuendo (For example, one episode has the kids grossed out and shocked about where babies come from- New Jersey.
Language: There is a lot of harsh language such as "Shut up" "Crud" "Stupid" and other stuff like that.
Consumerism: A few action figures.
Dugs: The kids drink illegal soda, but once again IT IS A JOKE.
The Good Stuff:
Role Models: The kids are all independent and will do anything to protect what they believe in.
Messages: Nothing is valued more in this show than friendship, all kids love eachother, will fight for one another, and are willing to forgive.
Quality: This show is hilarious. The jokes are ridiculously clever and have a style that is very hard to find. All the plots are based off of real life struggles kids have to deal with and commonly known events in the world (The Spinach Inquisition). It seems to me like CSM only watched one or two episodes. This show is great for anyone with a good sense of humor and won't do anything the TV does.
And here we have another stupid review from emerald232. You're NOT I repeat NOT a lenient mom. To tell you the truth I think your rules are more lame than Mrs.Benson from icarly.(aka freddie's mom)
