Stereotype jokes, but it's ok...
It's a funny show! I think it should be 13+, as long as your kids don't copy what they see or hear. I've learned a lot from Abed, a character on the show- you can learn to solve a situation by finding a movie that's just like what's going on in your life. With me, it was Pete's Dragon- my boyfriend being Paul, me being Nora, metaphorically, of course. My boyfriend disappeared, but I'm sure he'll be found again someday.

Funny For Teens, Inapropriate For Tweens and Younger
I LOVE THIS SERIES. It's cute, sarcastic, and teaches many valuable messages about friendship and unity. In almost every episode, arrogant Jeff Winger is humbled in some aspect. My favorite characters are Abed and Troy, the creative, boy-minded bffs who are always doing something new and different. Abed tends to integrate the plots of popular TV shows and movies into the plot and has a TON of little side adventures! BUT BE WARNED. There is a lot of consumerism, which, for my family, isn't that impactful, but they constantly mention name-brands. (Ugg Boots, iPods, iPads, Dungeons and Dragons, KFC, etc.) Peirce, the oldest of the group, is constantly making racist, sexist, or vulgar remarks. Jeff is picking up girls decades younger than him. Shirley constantly mentions her ex-husbands relationship with a stripper. Jeff and Pierce don't make very positive role models, (I've mentioned Pierce and Jeff's problems) But Annie, Abed, Troy, Shirley, and at some times Britta, all try to bring positive messages to the story. Overall, this is a very funny and quirky Thursday night comedy that I would recommend to fellow teenagers, but not tweens.

Stupid show, okay for teens
I don't know how the heck this is a comedy or what it's even about, but when I watch-- for the most part-- all there is, is "crapola". There is the occasional laugh, but I laugh at this show very rarely.

Wonderful show! Great for teens and young adults!
Oh I just love this show! The humor is so crafty and the characters are so lovable. The sexual behavior is a little much for some kids, but I'm 13 and I really think it isn't anything teenagers and mature tweens can't handle.

Great charecters!
I love the charecters in this series, they are all very different, they seem to have some fights, but always seem to be there for eachother.

Younger kids wouldn't really understand.
To start off I love Community to pieces, it's different then anything else on TV and absolutely hilarious. While there is a lot of sexual stuff it's nothing that kids older than 11 haven't talked about before. My big issue is the role models, while yes Jeff does in the end always helps his friends he acts like a jerk and doesn't have a sense of what is ethical and isn't. Some of the other characters aren't the best role models either and a big portion of the show is based on stereo types. If your children don't quite understand that Community is mocking things than these could be taken as real, also younger kids probably won't understand the humor.

This show is so funny. Younger kids probably won't get most of the jokes, so that is why I say 13+

One of my favorite shows !
I think that the best part of this show is the fact that it doesn't take itself too seriously. It is literally half an hour of satire and sarcasm, which I absolutely love. Everything they do on the show is so clever, between the witty dialogue, the hilarious movie references/tributes, and the absurd situations that these kids at the college encounter. What other show would you get to see a Star Wars themed paintball battle? It's perfect. As for the content, It isn't really that innappropriate. There is some sexy stuff every now and then, but mostly it's for comedic effect so it isn't really heavy. The show does have some good morals/messages, and Jeff always has words of wisdom to impart onto the group after they finish their wild adventures. I think that it's nothing a 14 year old can't handle, or a mature 13 year old.

Positive messages and role models. Some innapropriate conversations, and occasionally an innapropriate episode, but over all great show

Ahh, yes, Community...........
HAHAHAAHAAA!!! Ahem, sorry. I just really like Community. One of my fave TV shows EVAH! And yes, I know I'm still a tween but this show is da bomb! Alright, you've heard my opinion and so, we should probably cut to the chase on things. There is the occasional swearing like s*x, a*s and some mild things.so it can be innapropriate for younger ones, but I still like it. There can be sexual remarks but nothing is shown. So, overall, it's mostly for 11 and up but, if your kid is mature, and doesn't copy what they see or hear, it should be okay. If you wanna decide if you want to let you kid watch it, then watch the show, yourself!

Best Show on Television
Watching television is very much a family activity in my household (mom, dad, self, older sister), which is why I was thrilled to find a show we all love. It's witty, deep, and laugh out loud funny. What really makes the series are the characters. Each character is so real, so flawed, so well developed. Positive messages and role models: A young woman beats her adderall addiction and starts college despite getting kicked out of high school. She checks herself into rehab when her mother refuses to help her and works to get a place of her own. A divorced single mother takes good care of her children. A cynical loner learns to love and gets a sense of family. A peaceful, self assured young filmmaker pursues his dreams. A high school football star learns not to be so self involved. Characters stand up for themselves and others and generally do good despite their flaws. The whole series has a strong sense of family. Some warnings: Sex: Characters are shown making out, but are all adults. Innuendos are not uncommon and are especially favored by Chevy Chase's character. The youngest character (18) talks about losing her virginity and sees male genitalia (not pictured in the show) for the first time during the series. Condoms are shown. There's really nothing here I didn't learn in high school health class. Language: Nothing worse than b**** Drugs and Alcohol: There are a couple recovering addicts in the series. There is a housewife who was an alcoholic, an honor student who was addicted to prescription medication, and an elderly man who was hooked on pain pills. However, these characters have all gotten help. A character in her late 20s smokes cigarettes and admits to smoking marijuana. An episode is focused on her quitting smoking.
