This show is for more mentally mature teenagers who know better than to take this show completely seriously. The show can get violent and bloody, but the characters are good. It makes you think.
CM is the best show on tv.(well crime show)it shows how real the world is.my little sis(8)always says"when i grow up ima be just like Reid"that show made me want to take a psychology class in college.the role models are great.ive been hooked since i was 9 and i cant wait until september 2010 for the new season!!!!(just dont watch if you have a weak stomach)i love kaykayd's review btw
I personally adore this show! The characters are just show awesome and the way they all work together to solve these crazy, shocking crimes is fantastic. Yes, Criminal Minds doesn't really hold back on the gore(tamer than what you'd see on CSI though). Probably the worst/goriest episodes for me were when they showed severed heads(eww) yeah...they don't hold back much, but if you look past that, it is NOT like most police procedurals out there! Instead of focusing on the crime, they focus on the Criminal. they get inside their mind and make a profile for them, to predict their next move and to save the next victim. Good mostly triumphs evil in this show, though unfortunately, it takes a few victims to make that happen. all in all, The team is full of highly intelligent people, who you will love!
Fantastic show, love it!
I love this show have watched since it first came on when i was about 8 or 9 ( guessing from number of seasons) it is my favorite show and has amazing role models the women are strong and can handle themselves. The men act like gentle men. I want to be just like all of them when i am older when i go to college i already plan on becoming a criminologist thanks criminal minds ! although every other victim is sexually abused and maybe a little inapropriate unless your kids are like me and have been watching csi all their lives. but other than the rape and murder the show is smart a few jokes are thrown in there
This Show is a smart show, but can also be quite disturbing, several episodes, for realism, include children both as victims and offender, the murder portrayals can also be quite vicious. But the use of profiling the suspect to convict him/her is quite interesting and might spark an interest into psychology for your children, it is much better than most of the drivel on tv, mainly MTV, and this coming from a teenager. Verdict is great for teens, but not so much for younger ones, and can possibly spark an educational interest in your children.
I love this show and i hav been watching it since i was like 9. there are great people on this show and the victims are just people laying down with ketchup all over them. i am so addicted
Extremely disturbing Show. Despite being very violent its still one of my favourite tv shows!
Many references to sexual intercourse and many decaputated bodies. Might not be suitable for those under 15.
I started watching this show a couple months before I turned 15. I have a very strong stomach so I can handle most of the stuff they show. It is a very intense show. Most teens probably couldn't watch it unless they are mature enough. It can be funny but that is very rare. it deals with the minds of serial killers and some of them can get pretty gory. it is not uncommon for there to be pools of blood or dismembered body parts. I personally love this show. but at times I can get a little paranoid from some of the people (especially when they don't catch the guy). There is a lot of sexual talk because that is some of the Serial killers motives. I would say show is for mature 15 year olds. as long as you can handle the intense nature.
I was appalled when I saw the age rating for this show. While certain episodes are violent, the show overall I’d say is good for 11 and up. I have been watching since 12. Many of the crimes are very brutal, but there aren’t many graphic scenes. The main characters are good, clean agents and good almost always triumphs. There is some swearing, but not so much that it’s a problem. I think this show will get kids interested in profiling, and considering law enforcement as a job.
Obviously you wouldn't show this to your young seven year old child. No one does that. You shouldn't show your child crime shows, period. However, once they reach a certain age (high school) it's okay to let them watch some stuff, just to let them get a taste of the real world. Yes, this show can be very disturbing at times, but it is also very fascinating and the characters are all very brave and loyal to each other. I used to hate crime shows because of the violence and the scary plotlines, but now I realize I have to face my fears, and I'm glad I have. The show can be very depressing, but what crime show isn't? This stuff probably won't ever actually happen to you, and it's important to keep that in mind while watching. If you are mature enough to handle it, go ahead, it's a great show.
i love this show and because of it i am now going on to study psycology, sociology and criminology. i think that the storylines are amazin and as for age limits, i have been watching CSI since i was about 6 and this is not as bad so i dont see the problem. oh and from this show i have been introduced to some amazing actors including matthew gray gubler who i am now in love with :)
Not all episodes have happy endings, but the killer is almost always put to justice. Some episodes are more disturbing than others. The members of the BAU team are good role models and became members of the FBI to see bad people put to justice. VERY GORY though and will definitely scare kids 11 and younger.
Good series the only thing that stands out is somtimes the crimes are too mature for some people depending on thier personality and or age. The team works together good and even though a few people die druing the case they catch the criminal and turns out good very few episodes end terribly. the vilonce can get pretty graphic and at times scary but not to the point that most people cant handl. Overall this is a good show!
Criminal Minds is my favorite reality show on television, not just because it's a snazzy crime drama.
Criminal Minds examines an often obscured branch of the FBI to reveal the things they deal with in order to stop criminals; by getting inside their heads. Very grim, no?
I agree with the descriptions; it IS very bloody, very gorey, and very graphic. Not good for the sensitive.
I disagree with it stating that it "makes people overly suspicous of others." That's ridiculous.
The role models are good people, they fight for the right thing, no matter the rules they have to break, and catch the murderers. The positive message is simple; fight for what you believe is right.
