Great Show

The "is it any good" review for this show is ridiculous.
This is frankly the most clever show that has been on Cartoon Network in a long time. I'm disappointed by the low expectations put forward by the reviewer for this site. Sure, the character "Blu" does con other characters pretty much every show and preys on weaker characters to get what he wants, but by the end of the episode, he gets his. This is the way people taught morality in folk stories, I don't know why the reviewer has no confidence in the ability of modern children to see cause and effect.

This is a wonderful show!!!!
Foster's is a wonderful show about a boy named Mac and his imaginary friend, Bloo. Bloo now lives at Foster's because Mac's mother thought that Mac was too old to have an imaginary friend. With Mrs. Foster's help, Bloo is allowed to stay at Foster's and not be adopted out as long as Mac stays loyal and visits Bloo every day. This is a wonderful cartoon. Yes, Bloo does get into quite a bit of mischief, but the mischief is NOT encouraged. The lessons my son has learned from this show (reinforcing lessons from Mom and Dad)are priceless. My son often will state "Uh-oh! Bloo's being naughty again. He shouldn't be doing that." or "Bloo's being stingy, he should share." Things to this effect where he calls Bloo on his poor behavior. At this point, if my son has recently been naughty with similar actions, all I have to say is "Reminds me of a little boy I know....". Then, he more effectively realizes that he had been acting like Bloo and corrects his behavior since he caught the naughty-factor in Bloo himself. It also shows me that the lessons we are teaching my son are not falling on deaf ears! :) Besides the social lessons, the entertainment value is great. For the naysayers on this show, please watch the shows with your children. This show is being widely misconstrued. We need to be watching these shows with our children to explain things and to help put them in the correct context.

Great for both kids and adults
Mac is a good boy- bright, sensitive, and a little shy. His mother insists he's too old to have an imaginary friend. She means well, but Mac and his imaginary friend Bloo refuse to part. So Mac secretly brings Bloo to Foster's, where many other colorful imaginary friends live because their creators gave them up. The other friends are hoping to be adopted by a new kid, but Madame Foster, for whom the home is named, agrees to a deal with Mac that as long as he visits Bloo every day, Bloo will always be his and no other child will ever be able to adopt him. So now Bloo has a new home, makes new friends, gets into new mischief, and still sees his best buddy Mac every day. I love this cartoon! It's so funny, even by adult standards. I don't know why potty humor is considered a factor here, because it really isn't. There might be a total of five or six "suggestive" comments in the entire series, they are all very mild, and should go right over the heads of anyone under the age of 8 or 9 anyway. And it does handle lessons and morals like friendship, loyalty, courage, peer pressure, self esteem, and others. On TV it's rated Y7, probably because some younger kids might find some of the imaginary friends a little scary looking, particularly the "Extremesaurs", but they don't make very many appearances. But even if some of the friends are "monsters", you can't find any funnier or nicer, other than maybe in puppet form.

I am 25 years old and even I greatly enjoy this show. I watch it with my 6 year old nephew often, but I've even caught a few episodes on my own. I think the messages are intact with being good citizens while still having creativity and imagination. The show is humorous enough for children of all ages and even adults (as I said, I'm 25 and I laugh too!) I definitely recommend this show to people of all ages.

Does anyone remember being a kid?
Foster's is a highly imaginative, fast-paced cartoon brought to us by the creator of the Powerpuff Girls. Bloo, an imaginary friend, is a very impulsive, self-centered character that subjects most of the other residents in the home to a great deal of frustration. Mac, the boy who created him, visits him everyday and often gets pulled into drama or adventures that Bloo and the others have gotten into in his absence. Mac and Frankie, a teenaged girl who lives and works in Foster's, often have to solve these problems before Mr. Herriman, the figure of authority, finds out for himself. Although Bloo is a bit of an antagonist (although a very lovable one) each episode has a moral, if Bloo realizes it or not. The purpose of Bloo behaving like a "brat" is to set an example of what NOT to do. The reactions of other characters carries the message of fairness and responsiblity to compensate for Bloo's poor behavoir. Mr. Herriman is often too overbearing on the residents of the home, which is illustrated through the many ridiculous rules he makes up every episode. It is very hard for the friends not to break one of his many, needless and seemingly pointless rules once in a while. This serves as a catalyst for many episodes. Many times characters find themselves in life-like situations, dealing with peer pressure, (sometimes called for)rebellious behavoir and bullying. These are all things all children can relate to and although they aren't "encouraged" in the show, they are often used to drive each episode's plot.

A good cartoon for kids
Fosters is a very mild compared to some of the stuff CN lets kids watch. Kids and Adults will like it but I'm probably the only teen that watches it. It's hamless besides of the mild social behavior of Blue, the most lovable character, and some potty humor. Again this show is harmless for kids.

Very Silly, and Yet Imaginative Cartoon
Here I go again, another kickbutt cartoon. Foster's Home For (the Greatest) Imaginary Friends is another excellent cartoon ever to come out of Powerpuff Girls mastermind Craig McCracken (A.K.A. one of the greatest cartoon creators of all time in my opinion). Silly characters (Blooregard, Wilt, Eduardo, Coco, etc.), fun plots, good animation, and perfect humor made this here cartoon one of the greatest cartoon success stories ever, and the best while I'm at it. Even though this is not as violent as McCracken's previous cartoon, Powerpuff Girls (which can still be seen on the Cartoon Cartoon Show and Top 5), and uses more humor, it's still cartoon gold in my humble opinion. I also found a great link for screengrabs from the show (www.fosters-home.com), check it out, I encourage you to. Kids will LOVE Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends and the funny imaginary friends in the show! BLOOREGARD Q. KAZOO IS HILARIOUS (and mischievious, too)!

Good show...nothing bad.
I watch with show with my little sister all the time...I don't care if I'm too old. It is cute, clever, and we both enjoy it. There is little to none innuendo, and if there was anything, none of the little kids would understand it. Bloo is mean and sarcastic, sure, but he's the Anti-role model, and he always gets his just desserts. I don't see anything wrong with this show and I greatly reccomend it to little ones 7+.

It's a hilarious show about crazy imaginary friends. There's Bloo who is always causing trouble and breaking rules, Wilt whos is extremely polite, Eduardo who is a scary looking scaredy cat, and Coco who is a weird airplane, tree, bird thing. Then, there's Mac who created Bloo. He's almost the exact opposite of his best friend Bloo. Mac is very responsible (as long as he stays away from sugar). Bloo, Wilt, Eduardo, and Coco live in Foster's home for imaginary friends along with other imaginary friends. They usually have some sort of "problem" (sometimes caused by Bloo) and solve it (sometimes with help from Mac).

Good cartoon! One of CN's best!
WELL... foster's home is very funny there is a little innuendo, definately not things kids would pick up on! Bloo is selfish, ignorant and sometimes pretty damn annoying, put Mac shows him the do's and don'ts and Bloo nearly always learns a lesson. Its not violent, no bad language yet it still manages to be hilarious! Good Show!

A silly and hilarious cartoon
I know, I know; I'm a little big to be watching cartoons. But I still love the good ones, and Foster's is one of my favorite cartoons ever. It's characters are strange and lovable- easy to sypathize with. There are many, many funny moments and it's a good show overall. I think it is great for kids 6 and up.

Funny, for kid's brings back memories of the cartoons I watched
Fosters could possibly be recomended for younger audiences in some episodes. It is humorous and can be enjoyed by all ages. Heck, my uncle watches Camp Lazlo alone.
