This show is very funny! Parents, if you child hasn't seen it, get them the DVD. Ok, There is some Iffy Sexual Content, Usually from Zap Branagin, but nothing to Inapropriate. One episode is all about some aliens trying to get Fry's "Lower Horn," is one of the More inapropriate Episodes. There is some Violence, but it's nothing a 7 year-old hasn't seen. For Language, Bender, and A character Named "Mom," Swear in every episode. BUT, It isn't HORRABLE! The Characters can be Sexist towards Leela in some Episodes, but she usually proves them wrong. Overall, Let your 12 year old see it!
This Program is very, very suitable for any age. Its funny and humorous and has some brilliant jokes with no inappropriate language. Exactly the same as "the Simpsons".
I've watched this and The Simpsons, and I don't find either one to be appealing, but I would definitely let my children watch The Simpsons over this show. I am not the most conservative person when it comes to what my children can watch, because I don't think tv has that much of an impact on a child's behavior. However, I wouldn't let my children watch this. I find it to be disgusting, unnecessary, and quite frankly I think it's stupid. I don't think it belongs on Cartoon Network, even if it's called 'Adult Swim'. There is no stopping any child from going in and watching the shows unless the parent blocks the channel. This show is horrible, and it isn't even entertaining.
This show is fine for kids over the age of 10. There is a little bit of sexual innuendo, but not much. The charcter Bender does drink a lot in almost every episode though so be careful.
Most episodes have some bad language and sexual behaviour, some more than others, so parents beware. However, it is a very fun programme, and I would think it is okay for teenagers.
A lot of times episodes don't have swearing, but some have some swearing --- though it's nothing worse then what's typically heard on prime time fare, I wouldn't especially like my 11-year-old hearing it in a cartoon. I let him watch some episodes, but I don't let him watch others --- I won't let him watch the movies either, because they're supposedly raunchier then the actual TV show. Also a concern, the show plays on Comedy Central, a network that advertises things that are especially inappropriate for my kid. I typically try to record the approved episodes on my DVR and skip through the ads.
This show is not "The Simpsons". There are rarely redeemable qualities from characters. Sex jokes are frequent instead of smart humor like on "The Simpsons" Matt Groening has disappointed me. But, to his benefit, I have found myself laughing every now and again while watching night-time reruns on Comedy Central when nothing else is on TV.
I like this show. It's made by the same people as The Simpsons. But I think Leela is creepy. (My 29 year old son thinks she's "hot"). This is a nice sister series to the popular cartoon, The Simpsons, but I prefer the Simpson's other, lesser known sister series, The Critic. By the way, you should ad that show onto this site; I'd love to review it.
