About @GinaYei

Love the “Follow your Passion” theme of the show. Most of the girls are are presented as self-reliant! It is set in Puerto Rico where it’s 80 degrees in the winter. Why are so many teens wearing ski knit hats???? Whether you clique w/ the “popular kids, everyone is in a clique. Lots of bright bubble gum pinks & candy colors in the clothes, the background everywhere; seems to go with the fact that we Latinos(as) come in all skin tones & with brown, blue, & green eyes! Love the positive representation of both this beautiful island and our culture. Great music! Each musical sketch had me up dancing - my waist hurts!

It's impossible not to crack a smile at least once throughout this fast-paced, upbeat show. Gina Yei is an incredibly peppy series threaded with positive messages and talk about self-love. The witty, quick dialogue is often comedic. There's no shortage of musical numbers and dance breaks, so younger viewers into music/dance would enjoy this.
