An excuse to show diva tantrums
I feel bad for those poor children who enjoy this 'act-of-comedy' I'm sorry, but Miley is rude and snobby, she always thinks of herself, and when she thinks of others, she makes it worse for them because she assumed thats what they wanted (altho it was nice of her to try-sort a) I use to like the show, but that was back when she wasnt selfish on the show. In one episode Jackson has no choice but to tell his new girl friend (which is a bikini model-real age appropreate) that Miley was Hannah Montana, because she still thinks her and Jackson are 'dating' and Miley gets all in his face saying "Fine, tell her and let her ruin my life!" (For one, she didnt seem so edgy when Rico had a picture of her 'secret' which she assumed was her HM secret, and Rico said she had to kiss him to keep it under raps, and she said, fine, send it, now shes all horrible when it means actually helping someone other than herself) Second, on that (incredibly sad) episode when Jessie came back, she had to break some time with her dad to make time for him, and his dad called, and she's all "I had to break time with MY dad, yet you cant skip a stupid phone call?!" and he answered "He's stationed in Afganastan" There are times she IS consitteret, but there are many times she's not. What kind of skript to those people write? They turned the character into a real B*tch. And in the movie she learned a lesson and was going a new direction, and got a new 'boyfriend' then back at the show, its all normal again, the boyfriends gone so she can fight between Jake and Jessie again, and she's as grouchy as ever. She's disrespectful to her dad, by running off to Florida without his permition because he said "No, your too young" and its sad that Jackson had to ask if "he's his favorite child now" and when they caught up to her on the plane, all the dad did was sing her a song, and LET her go to Florida. She's mean to her brother, who often has to make sacrifices for her. Her friends (who are dating) are suck-ups, and mean to Miley behind her back (pay attention, you'll see) And those girls at Miley's school that go "Ooh.. cseee" for one, on the brightside, they shpw how NOT to act, but I highly doubt people really act like that, if someone disagrees and says girls at their school are like that, I am soo sorry! Well, some episodes are great, and some are horrible, I watch the new ones mostly because there's nothing on, and out of curiousity. But I dont think little kids that may imitate this should watch it, I mean its a tween sitcom, why ARE little kids watching it? I have a 4 year old cousin who watches and imitates Miley and oh-my-gosh.... plus, they hit Oliver a LOT and make sarcastic remarks.

Horrible. Period.
WOW!!!! this is a non-educational, super-boring, terrible, show. The characters are brats and flirt and kiss a lot. Miley Cyrus doesn't even have a very good voice. The show has a lot of stereotypes and all of the characters are sassy and spoiled COMPLETELY!!!!!!!! THIS SHOW IS JUST BOGUS!!!!!

Parents, I have described some of my experiences with this show in this post, I have some advice which may be beneficial to you
These sorts of television shows communicate messages similar to those that more "babyish" shows communicate, but the context is geared towards teenagers and pre-teens. If you watch a typical "My friends Tigger and Pooh" episode, you might see a message along the lines of "be true to yourself", such as the one in which Tigger thought he was a different species and quit being "a Tigger". On the other hand, if you watch a typical Hannah Montana show, in which Hannah or Lily or some other girl/boy tries to get a kid from the opposite sex to like him/her, you'll get the same message - "Be true to yourself/don't act like someone you're not". There isn't really much difference in terms of the triviality of the messages, but what's different is the context. In a typical Hannah Montana episode, you'll see girls going after boys in a "love at first sight" manner, and in the end realize that it isn't worth it, but only after kissing and hugging, and "sexy stuff". But in "My Friends Tigger and Pooh", that message will be conveyed through fun and, well you know, "so-called kids stuff". Basically the idea is that Disney wants to have a catalogue of shows for all ages, but that, in order to keep the parents "happy", they need to show that they want viewers to learn something rather that just get more money. The context/message interplay is one that I've already discussed, so I'll get into a description of the content of these shows. Basically, in "Hannah Montana", there are two parallels within the show - Hannah Montana and her life (perhaps with Lily and Olliver), and her brother and Rico with their life (again, perhaps with Lily and Olliver). Now, only until the third season, Lily and Olliver were "just friends". Now, you see them flirting all the time, and you might also see Hannah flirting with boys at school. The show depicts teenage life, really, and a bit more. Only the context of the show, that Hannah leads a "double life" is of some significance. It's one of those shows when, if you cut out the flirting, you'll get a reasonable entertaining program which little kids might like to see. Another aspect of the show is the kids that act on it. Perhaps the most controversial is Miley Cyrus. Unfortunately, Miley has been involved in several scandals; one in which she participated in a "vanity fair", another in which she did a "pole dance" or something of the sort, and another in which she allegedly sucked a guy off (kids, if you're reading this, just ignore it). And perhaps most unfortunate of all, if you google her name, you get "near-naked" pics of her, and all these scandals will come up. Therefore, perhaps parents shouldn't let their kids get into googling her name, because almost always the search will lead to some thing "sexual". That said, the show does have many positive messages, and it may be alright for kids above 12 to view it. I would say that kids from 10-12 shouldn't really see it, because there are some aspects that can be a bad influence on them (once a guy on the show made a joke about sex). However, even if you don't feel comfortable in letting your kids view it, remember that more than 300 million people worldwide (possibly up to 500 million) have viewed this show, and more that 60% are kids, and 30% are kids below 10. So I'm sure it can't be that bad. If you're really skeptical about letting your children view it, then that's OK because they're other shows like "Wizards of Waverly Place", "Sonny with a Chance" and "JONAS" which have less flirting. Unfortunately, all non-playhouse disney shows have some flirting in it, mainly because they want it to appeal to older audiences. Hope I've helped!

Off and On Opinions on this..
Some episodes sicken me, others are ok. Although the acting is over-dramatic (as are most on DC or as I call Tween MTV) Like sometimes it teaches good lessons, but the characters switch from caring, and into being brats. Miley seems to treat as if they're below her, like she's to judgmental towrd her friends, she has this 'whatever' attitude with her dad (who favors her) and acts meaner to Jackson than he is to her. The little kids on there are just horrible, I mean the little kids. Like every little kid is coniving and bratty and has this sassy attitude. Similier to the attitude my little cousin picked up from Miley (yeah thanks a lot) Lily has turned into a total girly-girl. She kisses up to Miley as if she needs her permission. It seems like all of the characters have over active moodswings Lily and Oliver have started dating, thats fine I guess, except they are so sappy it is discusting. Oli Pop-Lily Pop? Miley is pretty judgy too, like she wanted to date this one boy cuz she thought he was hot, until she saw him short and she was just so mean in that. In this other episode this 'nerd' asked her out (although she felt bad and approched him, which led to that) and she tried to ditch him at the dance. But on the bright side she realised what a mistake it was (actually thats my favorite episode) and she went to the dance with him. But I dont like the idea of it seeming more like a charity case. *Ok one more episode to bash* Rico's cousin came for a visit, and he was from Austrailia, and his accent wasn't even close to perfect, its like they didn't try. It was pretty steroType. Well, just watch the show for yourself.

Not a show for ages 8 and younger anymore
Well, I don't really think this show is suitable for kids that are age 8 and younger. The show has now become more like a teen show. Almost every episode is about a boy and dating. Kids 8 and younger may not like the show because of the romance. Actually, there's an hour long episode coming up about Miley/Hannah Montana loving two guys - Jake Ryan and some other guy. She doesn't know which one to choose and in the commercial she says to one of the guys, "Boy do I want to kiss you!" If you don't feel comfortable with your young daughter watching a show that's now mainly about boys and dating, then don't let your child watch this show. There are positive role models and messages in basically every episode. The Dad is always supportive and there for his kids. Miley and the rest of the crew seem to learn a lesson in almost every episode that kids who are viewing the show can learn. There is know language, but Miley does say things about dating, boys, and even kissing. It is a pretty good show overall, though.

Hannah Montana happy
I don't like the new season, but I really like the old ones. I think Miley is a pretty good role model, and so with lily. I'm just worried about Rico. Other then that, great show.

Hate it
I do not like this show. It teaches kids that the only way to be popular is to put on a blonde wig and wear fancy clothes. It doesn't teach anything. The jokes are very corny and her dad isn't very responsible. Thats my view on it.

grlekfheio
I used to LOVE this show when I was 8 or 9, until I realized how suckish of a role model Miley Cyrus is. She messes things up for herself all the time, and then expects her friends or dad to fix everything for her...that's not a good example!! And Miley is so rude sometimes. In one episode, she made such a big deal about not kissing a guy just because he was like a inch shorter than her. Sometimes she acts like a spoiled brat who needs to grow up and stop crying to "daddy" everytime push comes to shove. I mean, she's 17, almost 18!!!!

Hannah Montana Never!
Oh my god, Oh my god! Why did they make ANOTHER SEASON! All the good shows cancel! Why would they make a show called Hannah Montana Forever, when it should be called Hannah Montana Never?!?! I mean Walt Disney if he were to be alive today, what would he say? Would he make it go one more season, or be dissapointed. Disney is for cartoons only! Finally every reality TV show on Disney Channel EXCEPT Wizards of Waverly place should be removed permently!!!

miley's grown up...
This show is great for young kids, but miley's music (not hannah montana's) can be made for older kids.... the first season: miley is so cute! I feel like she really is not as sweet as she was (more spoiled and vain). After she took pics of herself in her underwear, I stopped liking her. Then, I got into twilight and paramore! :)

I love it, but Miley is withdrawn the fourth season
Okay, I'm nearing 15 and I still have to watch this show, but I think it's because I've been watching since I was 10. So I wouldn't say other 15-year-olds would turn this on and be sucked in. However, I do love this show very much. I think the highlight was season 3, but 1 and 2 were really good too. I find myself laughing out loud almost every episode. It doesn't make five stars, though, because you can really tell Miley Cyrus isn't into the show anymore in season 4, which really takes away a lot of the fun. But it's worth tuning in to for the songs (yes, I will be buying the soundtrack for this season) and for Lilly and Jackson's excellent one-liners. It's good clean fun for the most part--except for the fact that Miley can be pretty fresh to her dad, her teachers, and to her fans. Usually it's all in fun, but sometimes I'll stop laughing and realize that what she has said to them is not okay. Kids should enjoy the show, but not take the characters seriously.

WHAT HAVE THEY DONE?
I used to like Hannah montana when i was little, now her outfits are UGLY, her songs stink, and all her show is about is romance. Typical teeny bopper show. Sucks now. They ruined an ok show. But it's ok for any age.

Changed
Well, for one, the whole show is about Hannah Montana. Promotes her music, her clothes, her lunch boxes, etc. Personally, when it first came out, I thought it looked like a nice show. The first season was good. But now? Well, Miley is acting more and more like a jerk, on the show and in real life. She lies and gets away with it, she acts like jerks to people and gets away with it... she is no longer a good role model for younger kids. It's a disappointment because it seems like teen girl stars always end up like this. I had thought that Miley might be one of the few who didn't.

Hannah montana sucks, here's why.
Hannah Montana sucks. It's aimed at non pubescent girls that don't know the difference between nice and stupid. To be honest, I don't have the Disney channel any more seeing as how I never used to watch it, but when the first episode aired I changed the channel because I knew it was going to be another 'girly' show. But, looking at all the kids reviews compared to the adults reviews, I must say I'm impressed with Disney. They have once again made a successful show aimed at kids 6 to whatever. Frankly, I think the show is uninteresting and boring, but remember, if there is a show with fashion and the main star is a girl, then expect ratings to go through the roof. Now, the shows star is Miley Cyrus, a normal girl by day, and a pop star by night, the one thing that gets me all the time, is the fact that she sounds and acts like Hannah Montana ALL THE TIME. She never tries to hide up her voice in front of people she actually knows, and the people she's talking in front of must have issues because there is no way you could not tell Hannah from Miley. I mean COME ON, the only thing remotely different from the two is THE WIG!! As if someone wouldn't say,'Oh hey Miley, you know... you have the same body features/facial features as Hannah Montana. Nope, no one ever does. Because that would ruin the show. All in all, it's a pretty dull show, if you have ANY common sense, don't bother watching because you'll end up saying 'Wait, how do you not see the difference between the two?'. And you may notice that most of the 'kid' reviews are from ages 9-12, most of them saying 'OMG SO FUNNY HAHA AWSOME GO WACTH DIS ITS THE KOOLEST OH EM GEE!' Yeah, ignore those.

BOO!
Miley Cyrus is going downhill. I'm glad they ended the show because after all the things she's doing, she is totally off Disney. The show is so stupid. None of the jokes are even funny! And btw, Jason earles who plays Jackson is actually 33! (check his Wikipedia)
