Very gory
The plot is great and tge thrill and action is something you should really look forward too. However, the messages are kind of muddled and I have a hard time finding the truth in each story. Now the gore (Gosh, where do I start?), there is SO MUCH. Shooting, accidents, fires, stabbings, and one of the villains cuts off the tops of people's heads and eats their brains. XP. But it's a great show! Watcher beware, however, if you're not the kind who can handle that kind of gore. But it's Addicting to watch!

Too much gore
It has amazing plot and has got me hooked, but the gory scenes are WAY to violent for even those with stomaches of steel. I still love it, (not the gore though)

I LOVE IT. but there is some gore you have to worry about.
I flippin' love this show. Maybe I have the strongest stomach in the world? I don't even flinch when I see the gore. But now that I think about it, I suggest you prepare for a lot of gore. I have watched every single episode, it has an amazing story line, and the visual effects are great.

I adore this show. It tell you that you can a hero even if you don't have powers. There is some sexual stuff in the beginning of season 1 and lesbian what-not in season 4 but that's about it. Yes there is some violence and gore, but not so much that you vomit, but then again if you're very faint-hearted then stay away. If you're an X-Men fan (like moi) then this is the show for you!

Good Show, but it's pretty SCARY!
Heroes is a pretty cool show, but it's very gory. For instance, even on the 1st episode, a woman wakes up inside her garage to find it completely COVERED in blood and bloody dead bodies all over the floor. Guts (At least I think it was guts.) were spilled and one guy even had a razor in his neck. Also, a teenager is pushed into wooden planks. When her "friend" picks her up, there's a long nail in her neck. But, the good thing is that she can regenerate body parts. When she comes back to life, her chest is wide open and all the meat and bones and... well, I guess you understand. There's also a little stripping. They don&'t show anything, but it's a little graphic. There's language like "Bi***" and "D***" and other words. There are some drugs in it too. A guy can paint the future (If someone will die, he paints their dead body.) as long as he's high on drugs. Other than all that, it's a great show for teens!

Entertaining, but SUPER GRAPHIC
This is one of those epic shows you have a hard time getting out of your mind. With complex characters and a complicated story arch, it's an amazing thrill. HOWEVER, the violence is REALLY GORY! In season one, the main villain cuts off the top of peoples heads and eats their brains (the head cutting is shown in graphic detail but the eating is implied), the cheerleader can regenerate her body so often after getting graphically killed (sticks through her brain), body parts broken off (her arm bend completely out of place, her fingers are destroyed and bloodied in graphic detail, her bones stick out, she is even dissected), and after even cutting her own toe off, you are left with a churning stomach. Violence is extreme and I would NOT recommend it for people who have even slight sensitivity to it. I'm warning you, you will be insanely freaked out. However, for older teens and adults looking for an interesting story, it is incredibly engaging and a real "page-turner" (if it were a book).

Loveeeee :D
I LOVEEEEEEEE this show! :) I'm only on season 1, though, but I'm sooo addicted!! There's plently of sex stuff in this season, I mean one of the main characters is/was a stripper... and there's violence, too. But I think this is an amazing show. I love how they make you think, the person who made it was genius! :)

Jaw Dropping Freshman season isn't enough to make this show a classic.
If I were reviewing only the first season of this show, I would give it 5 stars. Incredible characters, character development, story, you name it. Even the highly criticized second season I myself found to be brilliant. While I enjoyed seasons 3 and 4, there's no denying that each season gets progressively worse. With the first season getting 5 stars, I will give the second season 4 stars. Certainly a slower moving story, but since I watched it on DVD, that wasn't a problem for me. The third season I give 3 stars, and the fourth I give 2 stars. Overall, then I give the show 3 stars.

Epic first season, but the others are okay.
I LOVED the first season of Heroes--it was so addictive and I loved the mystery/suspense. But the later seasons aren't as good in my opinion, espically season three in volume four. Violence: A lot. Gore and blood is shown when people attack, whether it's punching or with actual powers. Sylar cuts open people's heads, and it's pretty distubring. Claire can heal herself, and she did several suicidal things (jumping off a high cliff, getting hit by a car). Some killing. Sex: . A few kisses, some people are shown (naked) in bed together, but you don't see anything disturbing Langauge: fairly frequent uses of "h*ll", "d@mn", "a$$", etc. At least one chocked off, "s**t" Drinking, Drugs, Or Smoking: In the first season, Issac was a herion addict, but that was how he used his powers. Some people drink/get drunk. 3.5/5 stars

Save the Cheerleader!
I watched this show when I was only 12, and none of the violence bothered me. Gory, yes, but mature tweens will be able to handle it. As for the sex, I closed my eyes only once in the first season, then everything after that was moderate (it was a stripper scene). Heroes tells a complicated story that intertwines the lives of numerous characters and how they adjust to their newfound powers. Those that are excited about it set out to make a difference and emulate the superheroes that they've read about in comic books. Others, however, have some powers that are dangerous to themselves and seek to live normal lives. What I liked most about it was its complexity. The slightest details are important, which makes for great twists and turns. When I had the opportunity to visit the set of the show in LA, I was eager to dive into everything Heroes. What the show addresses most in terms of morals is really what it means to be "special." The villain does what he does because he felt manipulated and unnoticed, so he embarked on his quest to acquire as many powers as possible from other people. What else i like about this show is that it has many other characters of other ethnicities. Not all of them are stereotypical American superheroes. The scientist is Indian, two main characters are Japanese, a few characters are African American, and another is Hispanic. It's a great show.

Great for kids over 11. But not for kids under that age.
Great show. It does have some violent scenes, blood and gore do occur in many episodes. But other than that, this show is a good show. It's sometimes funny, it's dramatic and suspenseful, and it's about superheroes!

PERFECT FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!! this is the show i've been hooked on since it came out. i made sure my mom bought the dvd's and everything! this is the BEST show in the world. i love how the character's personalities change realistically, how each character deals with his/her power(s) [I put in the (s) regarding Peter and Sylar] And i believe it is fine for anyone over the age of 6. Altough there IS a lot of violence [One character RIPS people apart] and a little bit of cussing, i still think this show deseves to be seen by EVERYONE

Super-Drama.
The perfect mixture of angst and power; love and the extraordinary; violence and...well, violence. A more mature show than what your kid may not be used to, but it's something that would certainly make for a few interesting family TV nights.
