This is one of my FAVORITE shows! I started it when i was actually 5... But I had only seen (and loved) one episode... But since I was 9 I have been addicted!!!
I wouldnt recommened this for anyone under 8, but the only issues are barely mild, nongraphic violence, shirts off on boys, and slight groping from one character but nothing bad. This story is actually loved by every age... The youngest I know is 2 and the oldest about 35. But the shows is best for tweens and teens.
I like it! Not the best for kids under 12 dew to violence and curse words. It mainly has demon blood instead of human blood (From what I have seen) and miner curse words I have not seen any nudity or stuff like that.
I've been watching InuYasha since I've been 11 and well I have to say its a great anime. Alittle repetitive but still great. The use of language in the anime isn't horrible but it's not the greatest and picky parents won't enjoy their children watching these characters cussing up a storm.
Violence... well... it's everywhere and it inevitable in any anime I've ever seen. It adds to the action and adventure of the show. Now if you don't want to see two sword fighting people or demons getting sliced in half then I wouldn't suggest this show to you.
There also is some drinking involved in the show though its not highlighted upon and its very seldom.
Heh, I just LOVE Inuyasha and Koga when they fight. It is always funny how he can never control his anger. I have not seen many episodes, but it is a great series and a total must watch.
I've been watching Inuyasha ever since I was 6yrs old now I'm 13 and it's really great! And I think Sango the demon slayer is a very good role model! She is protective of her kin like I am with my little sister and brother. She is very kind and she protects the ones she loves. There's some mild language in here and some nudity but nothing inappropriate! this show has some violence but it's not that bad. Then there's this perverted Monk Miroku he's kinda a good role model but only when he's not being a perv and there's the main character Inuyasha he's a good guy only with some cursing and mean to a little cute fox demon but he's a really good guy! But I recomend this show for 11, 12 and upeven though I watchedc when I was 6 but there was some things I didn't understand back then. But this anime is really awesome! But this is the only anime you'er kid can watch till he/she turns 11, 12, or 13 cause there's other animes I've watched and it's really not good for he/she! Well I hope this review helped you. :D
I love this manga! Especially Sesshomaru and Kaede. It is reaaaaly goood!!! But there are some thing that you wouldn't want your child to take as an example. For example, there are some perverted things, and sometimes a bad language. But! Look on the bright side. In this story some characters that were once bad and mean, will become nice and good. I suggest that only teens read or watch this!
ANOTHER 3 STAR RATING FOR A GREAT ANIME? man.There is small amount of bloodshed(ex:episode 1,Kekio bleeds to death),but it's a very small amount,and it's not graphic.There is a bit of nudity,but it's not detailed.
I LOVE INUYASHA!! my 5 year old sister loves it to! its a great comedy romance and action for anyone. Its all about teamwork and saving people. There is nothing on that show a kid shouldnt see. It teaches about the japanese folklore such as demons and is juts awesome in my opinion my grandparents even watch there is nothing u should worry about
Just so you know, Viz (the company that distributes InuYasha overseas, particularly in the US and Canada), rates InuYasha as "Older Teen for Teens 16+." Keeping this in mind, there is quite a bit of fighting and violence, some inappropriate language for children, and a few sexually suggestive themes. It also has some resurrection of the dead so if this offends you in some way, you may not want to watch this.
InuYasha is one of my favorite anime, however, I wouldn't recommend it for young kids.
An excellent anime - it carries all essential elements
Inuyasha portrays a rather interesting and perplex plot, with a sequence of events and elements that do not take ordinary chronological order. Although the series may be suitable at given times for a younger audience, it can be quite ambiguous for a child. In combination of its in-depth plot comes a connection and development between characters throughout the series. Only older audiences will be able to see through the idealistic points in the anime and draw correct inferences. It is additional that Inuyasha (the protagonist) and his companions are often involved with supernatural forces such as demons, creatures, and magical monsters as well as priests and monks, which involves violence, fighting, blood and mild derogatory language. The anime fits its setting well with its conceptual framework but once again is generally not appropriate for those under the age of 14. The series is a double-edged sword. At one moment, it can be violent and demonic. At another moment, it can be quite dramatic and ironic in how it carries out events. As a younger pre-adolescent, this show had been one of the most formidable and admired anime series I had indulged in.
Wow.........First Anime TV show where my tears fall...
I love this Anime! i'm writing this directly after finishing the last episode (this series is a prequel to inuyasha Kanketsu-hen). the ending was so moving, but i'm not giving anything away! :) i would have to say i disagree somewhat with commonsense this time on how much violence and content there is in this show though.
it is very focused on fighting, and in this anime it is often
the answer. there is a main character who is kind, but also greedy and perverted. there is a lot of sound effects in the fight scenes (it doesn't scare me, it just kinda grosses me out), and naraku, the main bad guy, gets broken into lots of pieces, and there is a fair amount of partial nudity, but all around fine for twelve. the only reason i don't give 5/5, is because there's 167 episodes! a lot of them are fillers, but often really funny (and sometimes it can be really frustrating JUST how slow it progresses). The sequel to this series has a bit more of a romantic twist, and one person coughs up a lot of blood. conclusion: amazing and tear jerking. all in all, epic work of art.
Inuyasha is a wonderful anime, but not very good for really young children and some tweens. It has violence in the show, but most of it's not very bloody/gory. It does have mild nudity in the later episodes, but it's form faded so you can't see buttocks or nipples etc, etc.
In the movies and the later TV show it does have a couple Suggestive jokes, but it's nothing compared to movies today.
Altogether Inuyasha is a wonderful show with great voice acting(English and Japanese) and a really great story line!
It Was Really Good! I am an 11 year old and I watch it all the time. Despite the bad messages all you do is ignore them! There are so many lessons in the episodes!
WARNING- There is a lot of bloodshed so if your child doesn't like it don't watch the episodes.
Remember everybody is different. I Started watching Inuyasha since I was 4 years old! Nothing is wrong with me! I usually just ran out of the room when there was stuff too scary, but I couldn't because I wanted to keep watching!
Awesome Movie!
The series is a fine anime for young teens.Tweens already have a anime to watch..Narotu(something like that). There`s a large amount of killing and slaying, some salty laungauge but its not too bad.Great show.
I LOVE this anime! If you are looking for a good show this is it. Full of action, love, and more. There were parts that made me laugh and cry. I recomend this anime/manga.
A good anime. There are plenty of positive messages, like saving some one no matter what and friendship. Sometimes it can get a little boring, like when a fight takes a whole episode, but most of those are relavent to the plot and you can make it through them. There's plenty of violence and blood, but it's nothing too bad and hardly anyone dies. There's also an instance where one character accidently sees another naked and other mild stuff like that, but it's nothing to worry about. A little cursing, too, but nothing too major. A great anime for tweens.
