The Legend of the Seeker is an adaption of the first book of the Sword of Truth book series, Wizard's First Rule. Out of the half-dozen or so episodes already released, I think perhaps 15% of the content is actually from the book. Is that a bad thing? Of course not. I think the writers have done a pretty good job of adding extra material. The sets are awesome. Being filmed in New Zealand, some Lord of the Rings fans will recognize many of the locations. The acting is raather corny, but it's a fantasy television show, what else can you expect? It takes me back to the good old days when Xena: Warrior Princess was around. A good watch for anyone looking for a show like Xena or someone who wants to jump into a new world and story. I can't really imagine the average TV viewer getting into this show, however.
The Most Epic and Heroic Show in the History of Shows
This show is so amazing that I only watch it at it's latest hour (at night, because it is that kind of show), and I can never wait to see the next episode. This is the very first show that I have ever followed and kept track of the times for. This show should be acknowledged more. The acting is so convincing, and the plots are so unpredictable, that you stay with the show.
Legend of the Seeker is a really great TV show, I watched all of the episodes in just days. You can't go without a show without someone dying. There is some inappropriate parts with Richard and Kahlan and some other people. Overall it is a must see.
this show is amazingly cheesy i love it!! the acting is terrible the special effects are horrendous but some how i like it and can't wait to press the NEXT EPISODE button on my netflix instant dvd control panel this one's a keeper
LOVE THIS SHOW.
I cant believe it was cancelled. The first season should be perfect for young teens to watch, but even I started noticing towards the end of the second season, the show begins to get pretty brutal.
Things to watch out for are small, but there are certain scenes, for example torture scenes, which can be a little disturbing. Basically, certain people are tortured until they break, and are able to be controlled by someone else.
Also, in the later episodes, there are a few sex scenes or references to sex.
Overall a great show. Should not be too mature for young teens to watch. NOTHING like supernatural or anything like that. This show is similar to... merlin. Give it a try!
This show gets you hooked from the first episode and I love it, but it has some or many episodes with sex or sex-rated topics. If they took it out, it'd be a great family show. Before watching, review it. It may be perfectly fine or you may need to skip parts.
I watch it every now and then. There's one episode where Rich goes on a bloody massacre, but that's in the later seasons. Most if not all of the woman wear outfits that show over half of their chests, but that's again, in later episodes. Other than the revealing outfits, I think it's fine. They don't always show blood spewing out of people when they die or anything, so it's okay even for kids who don't like lots'o blood.
