Make it or break it is a wonderful show that is about Elite level gymnasts who are all trying to maake their way to the olympics.
Payson is my favorite. She is an exceltent role modle and is very dedicated to the sport. Kailee has an eating disorder and is recovering. Lauren is a snot and is inly good with boys, sex, and money. Emily is a great role modle. Her brother is disabled and sick. She is on probation as of right now because they could not afford the medication. She stole it becaause it was a life or death situation at the time. In the last episode Emily found out she was prenant. This is very shocking becuase Elite gymnasts have hardly started to go through puberty. They have bodies of 9,10, and 11 year olds. This is ok for many 12 year olds. Its no more than they will hear at a lunch table or a locker room, or even science class.
My sister absolutely loves this show and I've seen it a few times. It's ok, with not much innapropiate things in it. It's one of those few shows that keeps you hooked in for the full hour, but doesn't completely succeed in how good it is.
I love this series! I have been watching it since it premiered and it rocks! One of the girls trys to get whatever she wants no matter what the cost though. Although girls do stand up for themselves, there is lying most likely involved. Great show for teens.
I was encouraged to see this series from the beginning by a friend; however I'm honestly a little dissappointed. It can be really awkward around parents and the rest of your family because of the constant sexy stuff and innuendo. Im "technically" old enough to watch this program, but similar to other abc family shows, it is absolutely not family friendly. If you know your kid is watching this make sure you watch it with them so you can get the feel for this somewhat innappropriate series. Although it teaches positive lessons about determination and perseverance, its almost not worth the catfights and sex content.
First of all, I completely regret ever watching this show. Second, ABC Family annoys me because most of its shows have too much sex to be family oriented. The main characters in this film are not good role models most of the time, and the television network is putting too much emphasis on teen sex with this show and the Secret Life of the American Teenager. Yuck.
I am completely obsessed with this show. I have to watch it every week--my friends and I joke that the only reason we're living is for Tuesday nights! Be prepared to be sucked in. However, Season 2 is less about the gymnastics and more about the drama, which I think is a step down from season one. In all, be prepared for some snappy comebacks, awesome gymnastics moves, and hilarious conniving on Lauren's part. Yes, there is a bit of sex in the show, but I think it's okay for twelve year olds. And I would not recommend watching it with your parents. Not because it's bad, but because they just don't get it. This is pure teenage wonderfulness--be sure to watch!
love it !! i am 12 and the show is awesome! even though i think they should turn down the sex just a little bit but hey its part of life good for preteens and up (matters how mature u are ) this really helped me about making the right choices!defintaly wacth it
Make it or Break it is nothing like I thought it would be. It's a good show, but has some very iffy or just plain old bad messages in some episodes. I figured this show would be about stepping inside the lives of elite gymnasts, but it's really not. It's all about the drama these girls are causing and going through. The is a lot of sexual stuff in this show including teens having sex and even parents having sex setting extremely bad examples for the gymnasts. Almost everyone in the show has sex and is totally fine with having their personal matters out in the open. Recently in the show, one mother who is sexually involved (they are dating) with her daughter's rival's father begins to start a relationship with his daughter and lets him know she wants to start setting a better example. There is little partying and drinking, but I expect now that the 'leader' of the gym is her old partying self again, a lot more drinking will be shown in the show. One of the gymnasts is a lot more 'evil' than the others and is willing to do almost anything to win.
this show is soooo not "iffy" i think its good and its really cool that it has gymnastics mixed with teen drama. It is not appropereat for young kids but perfect for tween and teen girls
I really think there is nothing wrong with this show, i LOVE it! It's so entertaining that no matter how many times i've seen the episode i have to finish it. I love it, there are some parts that might be inappropriate but nothing scary or like if your kid saw it they would be damged for life. It's a very good show!
I think this show sends a positive message because when they make mistakes in the show, they have to pay for them. They regret them and learn from them. It shows they are actually people. They have things in the show I don't think you normally see. Kailey Cruz (Josie Loren) in the show has a eating disorder, that really happens. And it showed ways to overcome it. They have sex in the show (nothing beyond kissing) and show how the girl react after. One got pregnant, that really happens too. I think this show is 'real' and will have a positive impact on teens. Telling them to wait for that special one because a lot of teens are pregnant and this shows shows you that it's okay to wait, and you should.
