Monk is a great show. My whole family has OCD to a certain extent, which makes it much more entertaining. The only real problem is the language and the violence, and many of the murders are related to extra-marital affairs. Watching it frequently gave us a bad feeling so we stopped watching it, but now Clearplay is releasing filters for Monk. We can now watch it again in peace.

Although I find myself cover my eyes as the victims are murdered, it isn't only about that. It is also about Mr. Monk and his trials and tributes as a lonely mega-phobe. His wife was murdered and he takes it upon himself to figure out who did it until his last breath. The writers are absolute geniuses. You would have to be extremely smart in order to write these crime shows with clever solutions. I absolutely adore this show!!

Funny, really makes me laugh

this is great mystery show. Some episodes are hilarious while others are just eh. overall a great show to watch. definitely something kids will like.

Monk is one of the best shows out there. It is very smart and sophisticated, but isn't afraid to be silly every now and then. The characters are usually very good at not swearing, and sexual references are few and far between. Two enthusiastic thumbs way up.

Love this show! only bad thing you will see is the crime scene. Absolutely no sex, drugs, and very little violence. The captain cusses occasionally.

Very good show And when i say "noticable product placement" i mean to say they have some products like his "Clorox" wipes and some "Lysol" but over all product placement is not that much of a problem. And when i say bad language i mean that there is the occasionable curse word. And when i say "Too violent" i mean there is a murder in almost every episode (except one). But all things considering it is a very good show and is ON for eleven and up.

This is a class example of A great TV show. Monk is a detective that has been having problems since his wife, Trudy died in a car bomb accident. As he searches for the murderer of his wife, he solves murders in a genius (and witty) way. It's impossible to watch Monk blunder around and not laugh. But, with the comedy is also the kind of 'Columbo' sophistication and at times a depressing atmosphere as he remembers his wife. One of the truly great modern TV shows, and I definatly recommend it to all teens and adults.

It is my favorite show - very funny and my sister and I love guessing who committed the crimes and how. The writers are very talented and witty. Monk is my favorite crime-type tv show, and one of the only ones I'm allowed to watch-it is not too violent, and all the humor makes it very light. There really isn't that much innuendo, an dmost of the violence is in the opening scene. Five stars, all the way!
