Hilarious!
This series is absolutely hilarious! I love it and watch it all the time. I think you should be at least 12 to start watching this. They have mild language, and some sexual contact. But this is a great series for teens and up :)

Great '90s Sitcom
I'm a big fan of the work of Fran Drescher (and her voice), so it's not surprising that I like "The Nanny." It's very funny and cleverly written. It's also heavily influenced by "I Love Lucy." And this will sound a little strange, but I really love the opening credit sequence. It's a cartoon that was so awesome they actually won an animation award for it. But I think after Fran (the nanny) married Mr. Sheffield (the dad) it got kind of boring and overly sexualized. I'd recommend watching the older episodes instead of the post-marriage episodes.

Great show but horrible for youngsters!!!!!!!
oh my gosh I cant believe that common sense is letting 9 year old also with the dads bachlore party there are alot of sexual actions and throughout the shows they talk about having sex and kissing and getting pregnant. I am so disappointed in parents these days because they let there little children watch shows like this and PG-13 movies. I am sorry if you r one of those parents but it is the truth. Also the dad smokes ciggars and drinks.

Funny, cool story line, and good messages
Really good, the worst is a few iffy things but kids won't catch on they do drink and smoke but drunkness is very small usually just a few drinks here and there. Funny deffinality funny and the messages can be pretty good I say it's good to watch.

Common Sense Media isn't making much sense now...
I... I don't understand... Usually Common Sense Media is extremely strict with... EVERYTHING, and they let the NANNY get by as 9+?
Weird... there's a lot of episodes with sexual scense between the father and the Nanny. Children might not get the "inside jokes" and the implied sexual humor... but... I'm suprised Common Sense Media rated it that.... they're extremely strict.
Example time!: They rated Law and Order: SVU (I believe) Iffy for ages 15-18.
.... Does that make sense? And then they rate this On for ages 9+?
.... Oh well, it's still a funny show.

i love this show. i have watched it since i was 8. it has great messages and is a fun show to watch.my only concern is the sexual innuendo fran gives and the skimpy clothes.

funny!!!!!!!
this is a really funny show! I watch it a lot on Nick at Nite. There are some sex scenes, and it's frequent. But still I think it's a good show for everyone 10+. :D

Great show great show!
I mean its all right. I like the show. What am i thinking. I LOVE IT. Pluse Fran (the nanny) is like a mother to the kids. But the laught is kinda creep so watch out parents.

Funny Fran: Bad Jokes
Although my brother really thinks this show is a big laugh, I really think it's one of the worst tv shows around. A very poor story, bad acting, and Fran isn't very funny. Although if you ask me is is appropriate for young children, I have to say yes. There is no shocking language, sexuallity, or violence.
