oh my gosh I cant believe that common sense is letting 9 year old also with the dads bachlore party there are alot of sexual actions and throughout the shows they talk about having sex and kissing and getting pregnant. I am so disappointed in parents these days because they let there little children watch shows like this and PG-13 movies. I am sorry if you r one of those parents but it is the truth. Also the dad smokes ciggars and drinks.

The nannny is one of my favotite tv shows. I think the whole family is hilarious! :)

I'm a big fan of the work of Fran Drescher (and her voice), so it's not surprising that I like "The Nanny." It's very funny and cleverly written. It's also heavily influenced by "I Love Lucy." And this will sound a little strange, but I really love the opening credit sequence. It's a cartoon that was so awesome they actually won an animation award for it. But I think after Fran (the nanny) married Mr. Sheffield (the dad) it got kind of boring and overly sexualized. I'd recommend watching the older episodes instead of the post-marriage episodes.

I... I don't understand... Usually Common Sense Media is extremely strict with... EVERYTHING, and they let the NANNY get by as 9+? Weird... there's a lot of episodes with sexual scense between the father and the Nanny. Children might not get the "inside jokes" and the implied sexual humor... but... I'm suprised Common Sense Media rated it that.... they're extremely strict. Example time!: They rated Law and Order: SVU (I believe) Iffy for ages 15-18. .... Does that make sense? And then they rate this On for ages 9+? .... Oh well, it's still a funny show.

i love this show. i have watched it since i was 8. it has great messages and is a fun show to watch.my only concern is the sexual innuendo fran gives and the skimpy clothes.

This show is so funny! Lots of flirting but it's a great show.

Love it! One of the best shows out there!!! I watch it almost every night. Very age appopriate and gives good morals

Although my brother really thinks this show is a big laugh, I really think it's one of the worst tv shows around. A very poor story, bad acting, and Fran isn't very funny. Although if you ask me is is appropriate for young children, I have to say yes. There is no shocking language, sexuallity, or violence.
