  1. I rate this title iffy for age 13 and give it 4.0
    My concerns are:
    • Inappropriate sexual content
    • Inappropriate language
    • Negative message

    good for teens

Funny but the language and some of the messages are questionable. If you plan to let your child watch ask them how they feel about it (as in their thoughts of the show)

for mature audiences, funny but inappropriate conversations, messages are either lame, or funny, some episodes show mild ual behavior, such as kissing (not explicit) mild drinking, and some inappropriate ual talk, such as asking for change in ones for a , talk of a pole, in one episode, a is brought to the office (non explicit) but funny for s

Okay for Tweens just not Kids!

I think there is definetly some sex related humor, but 11 year olds should be able to handle it. There is some language, but I just tell my 12-year old daughter not to repeat it. If she does, no more watching the Office!

    Great Show

There is a lot of iffy content on this show. THankfully, most sexual innuendos will fly over the heads of younger viewers. I didn't particularly like this show the first time I watched it, but it really grew on me. This show is acceptable for 13 and up.

    Best Show on TV

This is the one show that the whole family sits down and watches every week. My 11 year old LOVES the show and frequently asks to watch the series on DVD. I can see how a parent could find some of the show objectionable; however, because Michael Scott is about as mature as an 11 year old, I think they'll find most of the potty humour just funny--or they won't understand it. There have been occassions where our son has asked what something means, but we encourage him to be open with his questions, so it's not a problem.

    Somewhat Troubled

The characters in this show seem at times to take things a little to far. I don't think that the sexually explicit comments and conversations are necessary for the show to be funny. I think that the humor of Michael and Dwight make it funny enough. Watch at your own risk!

    Can you say, Tivo?

The show is hilarious, but not every episode is appropriate for kids. Definitely watch it before you let your kids watch it, especially if they're under 13 or you want to prepare them for what's in the episode. You can't rewind life once they've seen or heard something. You have to be responsible and do your homework ahead of time. You'll laugh while you're doing it! :) Some of the sexual content is way too inappropriate for my liking. There has been a show or two that I did not feel was "okay" and I just didn’t let them see it. I’m always by their side or in the room watching it with them the first run through so I can comment on what is funny, but not so smart to do in real life. You might think my kids hate my being in the room with them, but to the contrary, we're so close and they like being able to express their take on a scenario on the show. I don't push my beliefs or commentaries down their throats, but it's a great opportunity to open dialog without it being forced or out of context. Life's gonna happen and they're going to see things I can't control, but in my home at least I do have that option. Tivo!

Definitely not for kids and tweens.

The Office, even though it's random and usually hilarious, is quite crude and has lots of sexual innuendoes and can be very offensive. I don't watch it often because it can be that way. But when I do I usually get a good laugh out of it. Jim and Pam's romance relationship is cute, but a little flustered. Pam was engaged to marry someone else, and yet she made out with Jim. At least she broke off her old relationship with the other guy to go with Jim. That made it somewhat OK. Michael is the one you have to watch out for. He's crude, stupid, obnoxious (rude) and a womanizer. He can be funny, especially when he gets a joke played on him. But a lot of the time he's being his offensive, confused self. Dwight is the superstitious, geeky, and naive tattle-tail sort of character. I get a kick out of him, and he's usually just the dumb guy who's trying to rub shoulders with the cool people. There are a lot of parties, at which there is alcohol. Your kids need to get the message that a real office job would not be like that. Getting drunk and wild partying is not in their job description. Use caution, make sure your teens know the difference between real life and just acting. Apparently, a lot of them don't.

A show you can stand to watch with your mature teen.

The boss, Michael is the most sexist, immature, outright ignorant person maybe on all of television. The sad/funny thing is, he still has a good heart. If your teen knows what irony is, they will be able to watch this show. Even though the main character is so flawed, he is surrounded by people that are more than willing to bring light to these flaws. It's so funny, because it's so true.

    My concerns are:
    • Inappropriate language
    • Negative role models

Though not always appropriate, The Office is great for a good laugh

This show is very funny. Though some of its role models are not positive, they show what is not appropriate in a funny manner. On the other hand, they show the teamwork in the office, and the formation of friendships and romantic relationships.

    Pefect for 12+

I love The Office, it is a very good show that i started watching when I was about 12. The office is sort of an un-real office where many different people try to work together. The characters are pretty weird, but funny, one of the characters, has some serious mental issues, and he also gives a pretty bad example, but he is mostly funny. Micheal, the main character and the head of the office in the show, is a huge coward and he can be racist. there are some affairs, but really, nothing bad. One of the characters is an alcoholic and can refer to sexual things, but for 12+, nothing bad. the humor is excellent, and overall, this is a very good show with a lot of heart.

It is a great show that kids will think is funny and parents will laugh: glad they don't work there. Ocasionally the jokes will be bad, but most are very innocent. I think that you will love following the show because I talk about this at school the next day and repeat jokes from it often with my friends

The Office: Witty, deep, and hilariously funny.

This show is a huge hit, which is pretty ironic considering it's about normal (well, semi-normal) people working at a job that is most likely similer to yours. Every single charactor has their own very differant personality, which makes every episode just as interesting as it is funny. As i mentioned earlier,It is also very deep, surprisingly enough. Major props to the brilliant people behind the making of this side-splitting, tear-jerking, absolutely perfect balance of comedy and drama. Now, enough of all that, and let's get to the part you want to hear: What are the reasons me and my kids shouldn't watch this? Well, one side of me says there is none. But the resonable side of me wants to warn you about some other thigs: There are some moments that involve racesism and mild romantic stuff. (Kissing, etc.) Some of the epsisodes involve some--plug your ears little ones--sexual moments. They never show anyhting, it's only in conversations. For example, "That's What She Said" jokes are thrown around every now and then. Despite all that, this show is amzingly good, so good that I find myself using a bunch of discribing words. Oh yeah, one more thing. On a differant note, I find it quite offinsive when people underestimate the maturity level of some of us kids. Maturity level and a bunch of other things. We're actually alot smarter than alot of you think. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I think thats about it. This show is extrordinarily fantastic, enphasis on the 'extrordinary' part. Thanks For Reading!!!

Only british humor and Dilbert fans will take amusement in his brilliant US version of the highly successful UK version. Give it a try.

Steve Carell, you've done it again. With a gigantic name as the lead role, the other stars continuously pull off being as funny as him. All of the characters have quirks, (big and small) but you quickly see the good in them too, which few shows have pulled off. The many sub-plots are amaziongly written, barely ever confusing you or just not interesting. And of course, Rainn Wilson as Dwight Schrute is brilliant and one of the most unforgettable characters in t.v. history. Beware though- this series does have a "PG" rating for a reason, but that shouldn't stop you from watching my favorite television show.

Enjoyable for some kids, but made for adults

First of all, I would like to say that I completely disagree with the "Average Rating by Kids" which is "ON for age 4 and up" That is ridiculous! It makes kid reviewers look clueless. Anyway, this show can be very funny, but contains some material that is racist or has sexual reference. Cussing is not a big issue, but there is drinking in some episodes. Most of the humor comes from Michael's naivete and egocentricity.

    halarious!!!!

This is my favorite show in TV to date! I love it!!! there is some inappropriate stuff in it. Micheal, the main character, is socially inept, and makes sex jokes a lot! like "that's what she said". one character gets drunk every 5 episodes or so, and there are several racial jokes about Stanly-who's black. But all in all, this show is on top! That's what she said.
