I love Pokemon, that's all I can say.
I have been watching Pokemon since it came out. I loved it. Pokemon is a...nice show. Has lots interesting things about it, and a very imaginative plot. It's very appropriate, except for the violence part. But it's not THAT violent, just kind of. It has a lot more in the show that evens out the violence, and the other bad parts of Pokemon. Though, I have to admit, 6 seasons of Pokemon get old. Sometimes, the show gets too focused on friendship and all that...it becomes kinda boring. It's a not the perfect show, but it's definetely my favorite and I think all ages would enjoy it.

Give Pokemon a break!
Im Shiny_Pinsir. (Pinsir is a beetle-like pokemon)I am a HUGE pokemon fan. The other day i was browsing the net, when i stumbled upon something that crushed me. Preists and Parents, Rabbis, and Protests about Poemon being under occult, racist, sexist, and sexual. I read the 12-page review for why. So many lies have never been assembled in one spot. For one, Preists and Rabbis, im looking at you! Just because something isn't directly associated with religion, doesn't make it bad. Yes, if you listen to the theme song backwards, you might THINK you her "Satan is awesome". But the reality of it i that so many parents are so determind to bring Pokemon down, they force themselves to hear these kinds of things. It's as though they listen to whatever sounds closest to an "evil cult message" and post it on the internet. There was an issue once about a swatiska (Nazi symbol) on a Pokemon Trading Card. This led Jewish communities all over te world into a flurry of Pokemon-Hating. This was a complete accident, as further resource by myself revealed that the so-called swatiska was actually a japanese symbol. When the American localisers print the cards, they have to flip the image, because japanee read right to left and vice-versa for USA. The flipping of the japanese symbol lead to it resembling a swatiska, and that issue skyrocketed out of control. Then the Burger King Choking issue. Is it Pokemon's fault if parents are too dumb to keep track of wat thier babies are putting in thier mouths??!! All I want is for fellow Kids and PokeFans alike, if you are reading this, please, help the kids have a voice in this. The Kids must be heard and now is the time to do it. Dont let parents and angry adults that jump to conclusions be the downfall of one of the greatest animes of all time. Gotta Save em' all, my friends, Gotta Save em' all!

One of the best shows for all ages
I just started watching pokemon lol. It's a good show....Some characters annoy me but I am not the age group they are hoping to reach. The show is great for young boys especially but it shows young girls you can be cool and strong and still beautiful as well.

Good anime
Hey, there isn't too much violence Common Sense Media (CSM)! There is always a fight or two, but it's nothing more than friendly battle, and there is not any blood. Sometimes the Pokemons will get very tired after the battle, but Ash, Misty and Brock always care for their Pokemons and they are taking their pets to Pokemon hospital where good woman heals them. Brock is sometimes very funny, especially when he sees good-looking woman, but he knows very much about making food, training Pokemons and giving them healthy food that helps them to be strong. Also, Ash, Misty and Brock are very good and big friends that will help each other when necessary. My mum likes Pokemon very much, she stills watch this cartoon! CMS gave this cartoon 2 stars because they hate all animes!!

Pretty much everyone's first anime! :]
I used to be obsessed with Pokemon when I was three or four. I carried around a Meowth doll (yeah, I rooted for Team Rocket-- I thought they were great! XD), saw the movies in the theatres, bought the videos... we even have a lot of the original Japanese Pokemon cards at my house. It's a great show, mostly for younger kids, but older kids might like seeing it every once in awhile. The only thing to be really worried about it is, don't ever watch a video clip of the Porygon episode. I'm pretty sure they either edited it or did not air it in America, because it landed hundreds of kids in Japan in the hospital with seizures (in the late 90s, it's nothing too recent). I saw the video clip myself online and I had nausea for two days. :/ Not fun, at all.

Getting worse by the season
The first season was amazing! The second was pretty good. The third was decent... I despise the new one. Dawn is extremely prissy and is never content, though I do not approve of the new show, I am a pokemon game fanatic.

Seriously? What happened to the old?
Seriously guys, don't you see what they are doing?? Before the Pokemon games and Cards and all those crappy things went popular, Pokemon was actually an T.V show (Back in the 1990's). Of course, Pokemon video games was just a RPG (Role Playing Games) and wasn't that popular, and Pokemon Cards was just a little hobby that everyone liked. But THEN what happened! Now the T.V series is just a lame show only trying to sell, not entertain. And, oh wow, LOOK! Almost every single boy children you see buys unbelievable amounts of Pokemon Cards everyday, JUST to get a rare card and show off their cards in a GAME. And then the games. Now because of Pokemon, everyone is beginning to do NOTHING but play with their Game Boy, D.S or whatever they have. And now almost everybody who plays unbelievable amounts of Pokemon are beginning to lose a life and become a nobody. Sorry Pokemon Fans, but this... Is the End of the World. There, I said it, now you can blame me all you want, sharpen the forks, light the torches, I don't care how much you will hate me for this comment, even if it may have been a boring long speech for some of you, or a total waste of your life, I will be ready for it. I just said my opinion.

Good for younger fans.
This is a good show for younger Pokemon fans (around ages 8-12). It might be too scary for younger kids because of the violence. The first few seasons are interesting, but the show goes downhill with time and there is a lot of consumerism.

Great Show
This show is amazing for all kids. There is barely any violence. I have watched this show since its original series and I have never heard them say "knucklehead". I also don't think that this show is a "trap" for kids to buy their products. The games are amazing and its not like the company is just throwing together some random game to make money. The most recent game, Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, has amazing graphics. It's practicly 3D. All in all this is a great show for kids.

Cult anime show has a few very sad moments
I am grown up with Pokémon and i - as well as all the others in my generation - can identify with the show (as well as the games). The following text is purely written from my own experience. I watched it since i was little and i think it was the first show i have ever seen. Pokémon has some mildly violent moments but they are done in unbloody fashion by supernatural powers. There are several sad scenes that will make both children and adults cry, but it is not to say they harm a child. Pokémon has something for every age: as a child i loved the show but i stopped watching in season 6 because i grew out and started coming to puberty. The immature boy i was i didn't want to seem childish. Now i am 15 and i can say that Pokémon has been the most important in my life. Mature people can talk about the ideals of the series: Is it different to those of the games? Is it animal cruelty what is shown? In "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon" we got the chance to learn the other side and play as a Pokémon. Would you like being captured? Or rather stay a wild Pokémon? Pokémon is a cult phenomen that has been both loved and hated. Anyway, it is part of our history.

I'm in love!
OMG! I cannot explain how much I love Pokemon! I'm not trying to be stereotypical, but this show is like an Asian's childhood. When it makes a joke, it's actually really funny. Pikachu is my favorite. The show does put other pokemon against each other, but in the end, the trainer heals it so it's as good as new. Not all trainers are caring but most of them are. Ash is a very good example of caring for his pokemon. He puts them first before himself. Once in a snow storm, he searched looking for Chikorita, and keep in mind, IT WAS A SNOW STORM! He found her and then kept her. Also in another episode, he was stranded in a blizzard and instead of trying to maintain his heat, he gave his jacket to his pokemon to keep warm and help Pikachu to keep him from freezing. Ash also cares very much for his mom and friends. The show does not revolve around the main characters, they help others when needed and always making new friends. This show is about following your dreams and caring for others. I really can't say anything bad about the show. I'm in love with Pokemon.

Honestly people!
Again this review is because every one likes to insult some of my favorite kids tv shows. I remember I was four when i started watching this my cousin (He was 5 at the time) and we grew up just fine. Now on to the questionable stuff, yes the pokemon fight and what scary monster are there! If you want a semi scary tv show with horrible mythology you should be watching YuGiOh. Back to the point, there is violence but no blood or anything (1 ep. subbed in english with a gun). Now about the 'sexy stuff' really? I walked into a bookstore and saw a 12 yr old wearing daisy dukes and showing bra straps (Not that she needed a bra) through her tank top. The clothing designs on pokemon are cleaner than that. Yes there is product placement then again this show has very little plot and some how they have to make money because I wouldn't buy their movies or dvd's
