Wonderful show
The emotional intelligence educational value outweighs the adult content. These are real people with real struggles and the gay team steps in and changes their lives for the better in so many ways. My daughter goes to Christian school but I like for her to be exposed to the world. We both love this show!

Positive and Uplifting
This show teaches the best kind of family values: it's about loving and supporting others, helping people grow, and the importance of community. I watched it with my 8 & 10 year old and they loved it. Not sure why it's rated 14+. Most of the episodes are pretty darn wholesome; there may be a few episodes with a some very mildly risque jokes, but the overall value far outweighs them. I'm pretty picky, but I think this show is for everybody.

Positive Message and heartwarming content
This show is so good for your mental health. The message and role models are wonderful. The Fab 5 are full of love and affection and want nothing more than to help their heroes (that’s what they call the people the episodes are based around) to help take care of themselves from the inside out. You also learn a thing or two about fashion, food, and mental health. It’s so refreshing to see 5 people who truly care.

Appropriate for families
Excellent role models, teaching anti-bullying, love, kindness and healing. Fantastic show. Children are often featured, and shown positive love and acceptance.

Surprisingly deep and very positive
Yes, it's a makeover show-- but it really isn't about the changes on the outside as much as the ways the Fab 5 encourage people to be brave, be themselves, and be vulnerable. It's an emppowering show, and gently pokes fun at... everyone... in ways that are based n love rather than fear. The Fab 5 aren't afraid to be blunt-- calling out intolerance, for example, or telling someone their place is filthy. But they aren't there to shame people-- they're there to unpack the baggage being carried around by the makeover recipient and help them live a life that's more authentic and confident.
I do sometimes gasp at the $$$ they mucst spend on the makeovers (especially the remodel/redecorating parts) but there is a thread of "keeping it real" and they rea;ly aren't recommending super expensive things or super complicated grooming regimens. In act, any product placement is very subtle as far as I can tell.
My 11 year old and I have been watching and both really like it. It has sparked some good conversations about personal style, self-care, and being honest.

Excellent, heartfelt show
This show is so positive about everything. They focus on each person and really connect with who they are at their core. They help people-- LGBTQ+ and cisgender-- to reclaim themselves. They tease or poke fun about some things in the beginning, but it doesn't feel actually mean-spirited. They build people up on this show and each person they help seems truly happy at the end. And I'm happy after each episode as well! I hope it's still around in a few years when my child is old enough to watch. There is some sexual undertones at times, but nothing feels inappropriate to me.

Some sex jokes but nothing bad
This show is amazing! It teaches you to love yourself and others and covers subjects like feminism and racism. It’s funny and you feel good while watching it! There are one or two sexual jokes like “You’re going to look so good after I’m done with your haircut. If you have another child with your wife tonight, will you name it after me?” Stuff like that. They say basic curse words like damn and crap and sometimes they say sh*t and fu*k but it’s always censored out so nothing too bad. Overall this show is fine for all ages!

Beautiful tribute to anyone who feels imperfect
I watch this show with my 14 year old and 20 year old daughters. The 14 year old may opt out of watching sometimes because she doesn't like the overwhelmingness of the editing, she sees the importance of it. In each show the men bring out their tears and so do I. The program focuses so much on self love and making bridges with all communities. What else matters in this world? It is a great show for discussions with your child and would be invaluable to those who are questioning wjo they are. I hope it stays around for a long time.
