I used to LOVE "Street". Elmo was my favorite. But there a couple of things on the "edgy" side. The Yip-Yip martians used to scare the heck out of me, there were lots of pop culture references, and mild girly stuff.
I'm a teenager, and I LOVE this show. And this is coming from a guy that watches Ren and Stimpy.
Education: Teaches kids the alphabet, and how to count.
Positive messages: Messages of tolerance are frequent, especially with Bert and Ernie, which teach kids that there's nothing wrong with being gay, which is important in our homophobic world.
Sexual: No problems, unless you're a homophobe.
Children two or more should really watch this educational show. I really like it. I love muppets and your child will too! Take my advice parents. You're child will LOVE it!
This is a great and educational show for preschoolers and above. An example that may frighten a toddler a little bit is the blood test video because the doctor puts a needle inside Oscar's niece Irvine.
It;s a cute show, I'd recommended it for children who need education and good influences. But it is childish, I can't believe I used to watch that though!
Combined With Puppets and People,Sesame Street is a great show for YOUNG kids.It is Very Educational and I'll have to admit it,The segments are Funny. How do I know about Sesame Street ?

America has tuned into this street since 1969 and the fandom is stil growing. Sesame Street no matter what age (if you have patience to see some sketches that may seem slow to older viewers) will always be a classic American television show.
Great kids show. Educational! Teaches kids to take turns, and to count, and letters, and to be a good person. It is overall a fantastic show that I recommend to parents everywhere.
