AM I the only one with common sense?

This is NOT for kids, not for teens, this show is all about sex! In the first thirty seconds of the first episode there is nudity. There is nudity, foul language, even full frontal view genitalia, sexting and things kids do not need to know about! I’m ashamed of anyone who’s let there twelve year old or older kids watch this, I’ve seen reviews from kids that young. It’s MA for a reason, keep people away from this, it’s no educational it’s overly informative in ways that will damage your mind. I can’t even watch this and I’m eighteen, this is ridiculous.

Are parents crazy?

Watching this? Excuse me but schools have a better system of communicating this, and YOU do too. Clearly you don’t know about P*rn and the effects it has on teenage brains. Why tf do they need this? They have you, they have doctors, they have teachers, they have everything. A message to the parent who let their kid watch it at age 12: GOODNESS knows what that child might be thinking. As parents, doctors tell us to discourage sex. My advice: Grab the remote and turn on some nature channel. It’s a lot more helpful to them than this ever will be.

There's also a censored version

Just sayin there's a censored version you could just search it up, with all the sex and drugs out... So if you wanna show it to your teens but don't like those parts then buy the censored version. However I didn't find that there was much swearing, only a few.

The best sex education class your kids will ever get.

It is interesting how many parents condemn this show as not suitable for children. TBH I am an 80s child and I wish that I had seen this show entering high school with so many questions and so little answers. Maybe your child is compliant and innocent and you should delay watching the show with them until they are 15. However sitting with your kids, watching the show with them, discussing and answering their questions is so healthy. If you don't sit with them to watch it then they will soon end up seeing it alone on their friends Netflix account and so you will miss the opportunity it provides The reality is that kids are exposed to sexual ideas through porn their or their friends phone or through misguided stories. I was shown a Porn mag at the age of 10 back in the 80s. Porn is a form of entertainment but not the best introduction to the concepts of sex and erotica. Even the big penis side story early on in the series is so pertinent if it were not so funny. I remember the extreme angst about my penis size at high school to the point where I never took a shower at school camp. PS I'm above average Strange how some parents will let their kids play violent video games or watch violent movies or even watch the news but condemn any exposure to sexual content. I also think that many adults will learn alot from watching the show. Parents may also have a candid think about their own intimate lives too. This may be why so many parents condemn it. The show also covers other topics such as mental health, anxiety, performance pressure, sexual identity. Note that all the characters are good and generally the portrayal of relationships is healthy whilst everyone works through what they want and feel.

The clue is in the title

If you don't feel entirely comfortable talking to your teen about sex, then you might not feel comfortable them watching such an in your face exploration of it either. But maybe you should consider it, because avoiding the issue probably isn't a good solution either. And this is so well done, nuanced and funny and a good dose of the highly varied and imperfect reality of sex and sexuality in the real world. Probably how sex ed should be taught, you just have to decide if you are ready for it. It doesn't hide where its at so the first episode will let you know what you are in for. Personally I recommend it, certainly a conversation starter, will probably make you think as much as your teen, watch an episode or two first and see how you feel.

Such a funny show!

It goes without saying that in a show called 'Sex Education' that there are 'sex' scenes but there aren't so many and they show more realistic depiction than p*rn as it shows a variety of body types, partners and educates your children about sex in a healthy way (they know it already) I watched this show with my 15 year old son and we both loved it and are now binging season 3 together - it never disappoints!!!

NOT FOR CHILDREN

Are you Kidding me? This is such a horrible show for children. It is very graphic and has lots of pornographic scenes. This show is intended for adults and adults only. Do not let your kids watch this until they are 18.

Heart-warming educating show

It really is a good show and brilliant at educating children about sex in a realistic, progressive way compared to other shows out there.
