Generation Q does a huge diservice to the community and its predecessor
While The L Word was not a tv show that portrayed their LGBTQ characters always positively, generation Q plays on the negative stereotypes of queer people and writes outrageous storylines for the sake of drama, dehumanizing most of (if not all) their queer characters. And while their storylines attempt to start conversations about important topics in the queer community, the delivery of those storylines are ineffective and borderline harmful to the queer people. For example, the pansexual storyline started off well, only to conclude with a stereotypical take on pansexuality. Furthermore, while The L Word was revolutionary in the way it unapologically depicted same-sex sex scenes, generation q often feels like softporn where sex scenes are done just for the sake of having sex scenes with disregard of story telling. Overall, while generation Q made it their mission to "fix" the mistakes made by the original show, generation q falls flat and even fails miserably at "fixing" anything the original show got wrong. Instead the show capitalizes on negative stereotypes of queer people (50+ year old unstable heartbreaker, 20+ year old alcoholic, catty women, and not one stable romantic relationships) and comes across as performing wokeness instead of actually delivering convincing and humanizing narratives about their queer characters.

The L Word Generation Q
My 12 year loves the show. I know she's fine with the "Adult Content" in it lol. It's ok for her to watch it. I wish people would let their kids watch whatever they want. ;)
