The worst possible adaption of the series.
In 5th grade, my teacher read about half of the first book aloud to our class. I instantly loved the book and bought the whole series (including the prequel and puzzle book) for my 11th birthday. It is the best series and if you read this in your childhood, you would still love it as an adult. It has the most wonderful plot ever, the best characters, incredibly witty dialogue, and so much more. It is a PERFECT series! I won't give away spoilers but in the 4th book the plot was so absolutely brilliant that I had to read it again to full absorb it and all of the books are SO GOOD when you read them for the first time!!!!! I really love this series so much! There are literally no flaws in it.
When you're reading the first book, though, when they first meet Mr. Curtain, they get the ultimate shock of a lifetime. He's the mirror image of Mr. Benedict! When you first read it, you're like, "WHAT?!! HOW CAN THAT BE?!" It's so exciting when they figure out that he's Mr. Benedict's twin brother. The TV series takes away all the suspense and action and completely messes up all the characters, failing to relay Kate's constant cheerfulness and most likely taking away a few iconic moments with it. Mr. Benedict comes across as crazy and a crackpot instead of warm, welcoming, and wise. I completely hate this film adaption due to the fact that it IS THE WORST POSSIBLE ADAPTION OF THE SERIES!!!!!! I feel very strongly about this and if you watched it without the books, it would still feel slow and unexciting. Please, tell your child to read the books first, which are the science fiction Harry Potter (THEY'RE SO GOOD AND NEVER GET OLD) so they at least get the real experience of what the series was meant to be. As for things to watch out for... I suppose the only thing is the scary Whisperer and intensity. That's it. And I put 8 and up because kids under most likely won't get the series and won't understand it fully, but it depends on the child. There's not extreme violence, but I beg you to read the books first before you watch this.

Awesome Show!
Such a great series! When my dad first showed me the trailer I rolled my eyes, but ever since we started watching it I was in love with it. It's the perfect mix of violence and suspense without overdoing it. It's even enjoyable as a teenager, and me and my sis love this show. We have been watching since it started and we love the show! It's my favorite series ever! I'm obsessed, and I'm hoping for a season 3. The characters are all different yet make a perfect story. Personally, my favorite is Constance because she is hilarious! They are great with cliffhangers, and keep you hooked. A great plot line, and amazing actors. I would pay for the show if I had to. They did a good job at theming everything in the movie. Please don't listen to the negative reviews, this series is awesome! 10/10 recommend

Doesn't stay true to the books
It completely strays from the books plot. Constance is only two, Kate is blonde, Sticky is bald, and the script writers completely destroyed the show. It's like the Percy Jackson movies, if it wasn't an adaption of the books it would be good, but as it is it is terrible.

What are these pieces of crap they call actors? It sucks!!!
It is utterly horrible. The actors are complete and total TRASH l. Especially Emmy something. She sucks. They need better actors. The girl who plays Kate better get a life and get away from this show. They ruined a perfectly good book series by adding crap actors to a not very good storyline.

Amazing show but kids under 8 might not understand
I love this series! It reminds me of a lemony snicket twist! Its absolute my new favorite show! I was watching it one night, and my 9 yr old sister walked in. She was like, what the heck is this dumb show? Then she sat down and started watching it with me! Now we have a show we can watch without fighting lol! I just dont think she quite understands it. The only con is the first seasons episodes are 50 mins each.

Great series!
This is probably my favorite series at the moment! It is funny, exciting and ends with a cliff hanger at the end of every episode. My little sister is 7 and she loves it although she found some bits confusing so I probably wouldn't recommend letting anyone younger watch it. It is a very clever show and it makes you think a lot while still being entertaining. I definitely recommend it!

Amazing show, might be confusing for little kids.
This show is really good and highly educational, it helped me think differently when faced with a challenge like the characters in the show did. Although, you should probably watch this with your kids if they are younger than around 7 because it can be confusing at times for younger kids. Amazing show overall.

This movie contains many talented kids who use teamwork self confidence do stop the “emergency” a crisis in their fantasy-like world. This movie contains teamwork, helping one another and family comes first. There is a suspenseful and interesting plot I would recommend this for kids ages 10 and up and I believe it is a good family series.
