What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that The Real Friends of WeHo is a LGBTQ+-themed unscripted reality series that features lots of mean behavior, innuendo, and interpersonal drama. There's some strong language, bleeped cursing, and lots of social drinking. Themes like being bullied (especially by social media), marriage, and coming out are discussed. Local West Hollywood haunts, stores like Ulta, and brands like Buttah skin care are sometimes shown.

What's the Story?
THE REAL FRIENDS OF WEHO is an unscripted series featuring six self-identified LGBTQ+ men living in and around West Hollywood. Celebrity fashion stylist Brad Goreski heads up the ensemble cast, including RuPaul Drag Race's Todrick Hall, social media influencer Joey Zauzig, TV host Jaymes Vaughan, and skincare CEO Dorion Renaud. Rounding out the group is actor Curtis Hamilton, who's using the opportunity to come out publicly. From engagement parties and marital bliss, to dealing with professional and social challenges, there's lots of drama among the friends.
Is It Any Good?
The unscripted series features cast members with larger-than-life personalities who celebrate who they are and what they do while simultaneously engaging in drama and discord. While some come across as arrogant and judgmental, others seem kinder as they socialize with one another. There's lots of unkind exchanges and noticeably staged moments designed to give The Real Friends of WeHo some entertainment value. But there are also a few moments of authenticity, especially around marriage, bullying, and in the case of Curtis Hamilton, the impact of living publicly as a gay man. Fans of voyeuristic reality shows will probably enjoy what this has to offer.
