haha! I'm almost 28 years old and I still love this show (the original, not the Americanized version) I have a 7 year old daughter who absolutely adores it. The plot is very vivid, imaginative and girly, perfect for little ones, the 6-main characters all exhibit strong bonds of love and friendship, always stick up for the right thing and look out for one another, which are great morals to instill at an early age. However, the concerns I have lie mainly in the style of animation: let's face it, these girls are WAAAAY too skinny! They are supposed to be about 16 years old, but they have unrealistically chiseled and extremely model-like figures. They are also almost ALWAYS in very high belly shirts and short skirts, high heels and very short shorts. The girls are also overly obsessed with their appearances and what their boyfriends and peers will think of them. This could create issues with self esteem or body image in young teens (specifically girls) Also, one of the main female characters is EXTREMELY spoiled and flaunts the fact that she is wealthy and maxes out the credit card her father gave her on routine shopping trips at expensive stores. There is some romance but it never gets past kissing, so that isn't really an issue. There is a bit of violence present in the show however, the girls battle witches, monsters and other creatures using magical spells, shields and blasts. There is no blood or gore, but lots of fighting. However, I think that the good morals that this show exhibits trumps the fight scenes, I would reccomend this show for any child 5 and up.
