Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Exellent franchise gone to waste. Worthless, unwatchable garbage.

I used to love the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, but this is just awful. It went so far beneath my expectations that I don't know what to expect for the planned part five of the franchise. This movie has a dim, brainless plot with little action and much drama. The action is unimpressive and borders on the unwatchable, unlike sequences in the previous installments. The humour doesn't work, and it is obvious that they tried too hard when trying to write jokes into the script. All I can say about this movie is that is is nothing more than lazy, uninspired wafffle. Never have I seen such a great franchise destroy all it had to offer in such a quick step. This movie has no redeeming features and is nearly as awful as "Transformers 2." I hate this film, and I can't see why anyone would want to watch this trash

Idiotic.

Some funny parts, but when all the comedy, or at least 97% of it comes from gore, boobs or both, there's a real chance that the film is terrible. This film brings a new meaning to the phrase "pornographically violent" I was really disappointed with this film, especially because I had heard it was good. Unfortunatly, the laughs were pretty much non-exsistent. Although this film is classified as a "horror", I never expected any real suspense, not with Aja as a director. His films are just awful, so I wasn't surprised or disappointed to fild a very severe lack of suspense in the film. However, this film isn't really, really bad, like "Mirrors" or the entire "Saw" franchise. This is above those films, but well below where a good horror film should be. Not that this film can be classified as "good." It's still a pretty stupid, dull film with no real laughs or scares.

A disaster

Idiotic. Jackson has no skill as a screenwriter and should stick with directing. Even that is lacking in this odd-scripted, badly acted trash. It really is amazing to think Jackson started off so badly. It isn't scary, and although better than the disastrous "Bad Taste," it still fails to deliver laughs. Overall, a terrible film that can neither be classed as a horror or a comedy.

Great.

The second-best movie in the series. One of the few good action movies that appears in the theatres these days.

**** Transformers. And all other action films except this one and a few others.

Far from perfect, but this is still one of the best action films ever. This is one of those action films where you actually need a brain to understand it, not like that bullcrap transformers or Mission Impossible, where it looks like some child wrote the stupid, mindless script. This movie has actual depth, not just a few boring action seqences held up by a meaningless, mindless script.

Pretty good.

This film is not exceptional, but still worth some praise. I found this pretty tedious from time to time. In some ways, it doesn't live up to the standards that thrillers are meant to sit at. Still, I would say that it's worth watching at least once.

Is it any good? No, it is utterly useless!

A very disappointing movie that did not have any scares or suspense. It does not terrify whatsoever. The longer you watch, the more bored you get. This is not a "scarefest," it is not terrifying and I have no desire to see the sequels. Movies like these just don't work. The movie spends most of it's time dealing with the lives of the main characters, and a only small portion of the movie is devoted to "scares" that last no longer than two seconds each. You don't worry about what may happen, and I think that any child five or older could watch it without getting nightmares. That's my opinion, anyway, but I'll just recomment the film for people twelve years of age or older, because I'm probably wrong. Overall, this movie is no scarier than your average comedy, just not as funny. It probably would be more terrifying with blood and gore. This is just a Youtube video, nothing more. It's less entertaining than most Youtube videos, and the camerawork here is worse than most Youtube videos. Please don't buy or even rent this film unless you're afraid of everything. You don't need to force yourself to watch this boredom. Awful, useless trash.

WORTHLESS

This movie is perhaps the worst ever to be released in theatres. From the moment it begins, the grisly deaths begin also. Even after the movie actually "begins,"(it is really hard to tell when it actually starts), the plot never picks up and nothing ever happens. We see mutants jumping around in the hills, then soldiers die underground. That basically is the story, summed up in 12 words. I can't say anything else about the story. There is nothing else to say. NOTHING. This movie is so devoid of anything that it is hard to accept as a moie/film. It is nothing. It is not crap, garbage or trash. It is below any of that, and by the time you have finished watching it (if you don't fall asleep like I did), you'll feel shocked at the fact that you actually watched it. It is so awful. And to top it all off, there is unrelenting gore, language, and a very brutal and realistic rape scene.
