I enjoyed this game very much. I think it's for mature audience because of the gore and terror. The story itself is what I like most about this game because it's different, tragic, and interesting. I ...

What My Kids Love Now
Well since I'm the youngest of all siblings and only 17, no kids, and have no idea what my niece does for fun, I'll just put my own stuff. I'm not much of a movie person, but I'm totally into video games. I tend to play violent, crazy survival/horror, adventure, and shooter games. The only small child friendly game I've got is Dance Dance Revolution. I love books/novels. Not so much into the picture books haha, but I love adventure and mystery books.
House Rules
I been exposed to the Alien movie series, South Park, and the computer game Doom for as long as I could remember. Generally anything goes with media. From what I remember, my parents kept me and my siblings so busy with a dog, a swing set, Skipp-It, and a big pool that our crazy imaginations didn't grow into alarming stuff. I feel (though I have no experience in parenting, except for a German Shepherd puppy) that the whole "child violence from games/TV" is actually all in the parents' hands to control and balance. Afterall, children reflect their parents.
When the Kids Are Asleep…
Once again, not a parent, only own a puppy. Hmm... when my puppy is asleep, I'm asleep. Luckily he is able to sleep the whole night through, but is up all day.

Less Aggressive Media Results in Less Aggressive Kids
Your Comments:Honestly, I think it depends on how the parent approaches the situation. I've been exposed to violent movies, such as the Aliens series, since I can remember (not to mention South Park and spending time with my older brother by watching him play Doom). And yet, I don't even like getting into arguments. I think it's about how the parent balances the world of media and reality. The most important thing is to TALK TO (not at) your kids and help them understand the difference between right and wrong. And keep in mind, kids can understand the difference on their own sometimes because we watch and learn from the people around us. And yes, video games can be a big stress relief as it gives you a challenge to think about rather than your current issues. All in all, it depends on how the parents present these things.
