Not educational but my kids love superheroes. I also don't like the kid-based ads that infuse the show, so we DVR it but then I have to be there to fast-forward thru the ads. I wish there were ...

Great family movie for 3 + up, parents will enjoy!
I had heard some negative buzz about Wall-E, and though my two boys love robots, our library copy was never available. Finally their uncles bought them a copy and it's beautiful. The messages ...

Web site: Webkinz Jr.
I rate this titleoffand give itI don't think it's appropriate to let young children on to a website, particularly one that is designed to market directly to preschoolers. I don't let my kids watch ads on TV, why ...

Good educational show for 3+
My kids love the show - they're 3 & 5 - I'm not crazy about one of the character's voices (like fingernails on a chalkboard to me!) but I've watched it and it's a good, solid, educational show ...

DVD: Enchanted
I rate this titleonand give itMy concerns are:- Excessive violence

Ideal for tweens and older girls, great mom movie
Sweet, adorable movie best suited for older girls (8/9+) and parents. Typical Disney fairy-tale sort of thing, with lots of adult themes. Dempsey is the dashing handsome reluctant hero, and Adams ...

Fun family movie, best for 5/6+. Entertaining for parents too!
I saw this with my 3 & 5 yr old boys who were very eager to see it on DVD. We were warned that the opening scene (with some shooting but no injuries) was violent, but I disagreed, and the kids ...

TV: Lomax
I rate this titleonand give itIt's cute but my kids no longer like it
My two boys, 2 1/2 & 5, really liked the show when it first came out, but no longer are excited by it. I liked the music and the live action, and cute storylines, particularly since the songs were ...

TV: The Zula Patrol
I rate this titleonand give itMy kids (especially my 5 yr old) adore this and it's a good one.
Unfortunately, the show is only on once a week - for us, it airs on one of the PBS stations and it also airs on a regular cable station, but with the latter, it airs with ads, so we don't DVR that ...

DVD: Thomas and the Magic Railroad
I rate this titleonand give itA hit with my 3 yr old
It's a cute movie for the family. The only "scary" part is with Diesel chasing down some of the trains with his claw, but my 3 year old handled it surprisingly well. He said that Diesel is a mean ...

TV: Super WHY!
I rate this titleonand give itWonderful show - big hit with my 18 mo old and 4 yr old!
This is one of my four year old's favorite shows. I like it too. He loves super heroes, and I like the idea of the "super readers" to the rescue. The songs are cute, the pattern is repetitive ...

TV: The Sunny Side Up Show
I rate this titleiffyand give itNot a fan - nor are my kids
I'm not a fan of this show, primarily because you cannot tell which shows they are airing within the "big show," my kids don't care for the live action additions, I don't like the reference to web ...

What's the right age for kids to go online?
Your Comments:My sons are 3 & 5 and are not allowed to use a computer except at the library and then only CD-ROM games supervised by me. Occasionally we'll go online together - watch Muppets videos on YouTube, check out John Deere's site with their videos. We went once to PBS Kids but it's all games and not something we can all do together. I see absolutely no reason for a 5, 6 or even 7 year old to be online. And once I do permit my kids to go online, it will be to specific sites only. We have macs that have built in parental permissions, so I can control sites, see history, control applications, etc. and that will be the case for a long time.
