This movie has all the fun-corniness of the Hannah Montana series and the same sweet sentimental feeling you'd get from listening to the ballads Miley Cyrus has performed with her father. I ...

What My Kids Love Now
My daughter loves iCarly, DisneyChannel.com, texting messaging her mommy and playing at the park.
House Rules
There are "kid channels" and "grown up channels" on tv. There are also "kid web sites" and "grown up web sites" on the internet. My daughter can choose most anything when she is visiting "kid places". If she wants to visit a new place (like the time she wanted to find a video on youtube), she has to ask me to watch/visit with her.
When the Kids Are Asleep…
I wish I was sleeping too ;) and then I surf the web, listen to music or read. My favorites Twitter.com, good old fashion email, Spanish language pop music, New Kids on the Block (lol. embarrassing, huh!?!), and good romance novels.
My Biggest Challenge Is:
Time! I never have enough of it. And when I run out it takes a whole lot of focus to keep my patience. When that happens I shut everything down - computer, tv, radio and just try to re-focus.

Can Teens and Parents Get Closer with Texting?
Your Comments:I bought my daughter her first cell phone when she was 5. It was one of those kid-only phones (called a Firefly) where you can only dial numbers that are pre-programmed and you could limit which phone numbers were to dial in. So safe and fab! Since our family was in the process of divorcing, it made it easy for her to call me whenever she was away and needed some mommy time. Fast forward 3 years+, and up-grade to mommy's old camera phone... her ability to read and write has gotten so good her natural urge was to text me. I don't know how much her behavior will change by the time she hits 13+ but whether its in words or by text my kid's sharing her thoughts with me. And at the end of the day, that's all I care about.
