What My Kids Love Now

"The Future is Wild", "Backyardigans", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", "Penguins of Madagascar", "Dinosaur Train" and "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan".

House Rules

After reading books and making sure they play indoors or out as well they can have 1 hour of English media per day (television, computer, or Leapster), 1/2 hour of foreign language programming a day--Chinese or French. They don't come close to these totals during the school year--we are too busy. In the summer, it's all about play time and the media stuff takes a back seat unless the weather is bad.

When the Kids Are Asleep…

Heroes, Numbers or a good book.

My Biggest Challenge Is:

Getting my kids to keep the house clean of their clothes, shoes and toys!

Great way to have a laugh and relax after the stress of a day at school

Although it may be too scary for some kids, my kids are loving watching an old childhood favorite. I love that there is no sexual content and it still seems grown up to my 8-year-old. Plus, I think ...

Loved it, but not for my young kids.

I loved the movie, but always wish there was more from the book. They could make several movies out of the last two books alone. There is a lot of teen relationships in this movie. I'd make ...

Great educational show that's fun for the whole family.

My kids were getting bored with watching their umpteenth episode repeats of "Zoboomafoo." So I checked out some other shows and found this was the best new alternative for both my kids. They love ...

Superb film, but a bit heavy on subject matter.

Disney and Pixar have done it agian! What a great movie. I loved the animation and the thoughtful touches in the credits were right on too. Yet, if you want a light hearted film, you need to see ...

I wish more parents had Common Sense!

This movie made me sick when I realized that there were parents in the front row with little kids watching the explicit sex and violence scenes. One "hero" relives his days as a cop and slices a man ...
